Abstract

Prestasi akademik telah menjadi perhatian utama pendidik selama bertahun-tahun. Banyak faktor yang diketahui mempengaruhi prestasi akademik seseorang, diantaranya metakognisi dan efikasi diri akademik. Metakognisi merupakan pengetahuan yang dimiliki seseorang mengenai kognisinya sendiri, sedangkan efikasi diri akademik ialah keyakinan yang kuat yang dimiliki individu dalam mencapai prestasi di bidang akademik. Bila mahasiswa dapat menggunakan metakognisinya dengan baik dan memiliki efikasi diri akademik maka prestasi akademik yang baik akan lebih mudah untuk dicapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara metakognisi, efikasi diri akademik dan prestasi akademik pada mahasiswa. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 75 mahasiswa yang terdiri dari tingkat 2 sampai tingkat 4. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diketahui bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara metakognisi dan prestasi akademik dengan signifikansi sebesar 0.491 (p>0.05) dan nilai r = 0.081. Selain itu, diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan antara efikasi diri akademik dan prestasi akademik dengan signifikansi sebesar 0.013 (p<0.05) dan nilai r = 0.284. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metakognisi yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa tidak terkait dengan prestasi akademik yang dimilikinya, namun efikasi diri akademik memiliki hubungan dengan prestasi akademik.

Abstract

Freshmen during the pandemic faced some complex problems during their transition, including adjustments to the online lecture system and independent learning, task demands, and limited social interaction with lecturers and classmates. This condition required the ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently. The purpose of the research was to determine how emotional stability, secure attachment, communication skills, and self-esteem influence social problem-solving. Participants were 702 first-year students from university X who were active and domiciled in the Jakarta Greater Area and several other cities. The measuring instruments used were the Social Problem-Solving Inventory-Revised Short-Form, the Self-Esteem Scale, the Interpersonal Communication Scale, the Indonesian version of the Big Five Inventory for neuroticism, and the Secure Attachment Scale. Data were collected through an online questionnaire. The data analysis technique used hierarchical regression. The results show that emotional stability in the form of low neuroticism has a strong effect on social problem-solving, and this effect is stronger when the secure attachment variables and communication skills are taken into the analysis. When self-esteem is included as the last variable, secure attachment no longer affects social problem-solving. However, the total influence is simultaneously getting stronger.

Abstract

Sejak perkembangan teknologi komputer dan informasi yang sangat pesat, penggunaankomputer dalam pengerjaan tugas adalah hal biasa ditemui, khususnya pada mahasiswa.Namun demikian, tidak semua mahasiswa memiliki keterampilan dan pengetahuan yangsama dalam mengembangkan keyakinan pengerjaan tugas tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk menganalisis kontribusi pengetahuan komputer terhadap efikasi diri penggunaankomputer pada mahasiswa. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 86 mahasiswakomputer yang terdiri dari 56 mahasiswa laki-laki dan 30 mahasiswa perempuan, usia 19sampai 24 tahun dan indeks kumulatif prestasi mahasiswa mulai dari 2.1 sampai di atas 3.5.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa terdapat kontribusi antara pengetahuan akankomputer dengan efikasi diri penggunaan komputer sebesar 42.2%. Hal ini berartipengetahuan akan komputer memiliki peran yang penting bagi efikasi diri penggunaankomputer, sehingga penting bagi mahasiswa untuk mempelajari komputer sejak mulaimenjadi mahasiswa.AbstractSince the advanced of computer technology and Information Technology, usually homeworkis done with computer, particularly on college students. However, college students do nothave equal computer skill and knowledge in their computer self-efficacy. Therefore the aimof this research is to measure contribution of computer knowledge to computer self-efficacyin college students. Participants of this research are 87 college students consist of 56 malesand 30 females in 19-24 years old with GPA range from 2.1 to above 3.5. The result showsthat the contribution of computer knowledge to computer self-efficacy is around 42.2%. Abstract

The condition of the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the enactment of physical distancing and staying at home policy. With this isolation, face-to-face activities are replaced by online activities. Several studies have found that distancing has an impact on increasing anxiety and stress in college students. This is inseparable from their ability in social problem-solving. The aim of this study was to determine how loneliness, perceived stress, communication skills with peers influence social problem-solving. Participants were 702 freshmen from University X and domiciled in the Jakarta Greater Area and several other cities. The instruments were the Social Problem-Solving Inventory-Revised Short-Form, UCLA Loneliness Scale Short Version (ULS-8), Perceived Stress Scale, and the Interpersonal Communication Scale. The data was collected through an online questionnaire and were analyzed using hierarchical regression. The dynamics of research results show that loneliness has a significant effect on social problem-solving. When perceived stress is included in the model, the effect of loneliness on social problem-solving decreases and tends to be weak, although still significant, the effect of perceived stress is much stronger. When communication skills with peers are included in the model, the effect of loneliness is no longer significant and the effect of perceived stress decreases, but it becomes the strongest variable affecting social problem-solving. On the other side, the three independent variables have a great influence on solving social problems in freshmen.

Abstract

In the context of a pandemic, many people are still trying to fulfill their various needs by buying them online. However, the phenomenon of online shopping behavior in a pandemic is no longer a behavior to meet primary needs but is also thought to be carried out as a form of coping strategy to reduce perceived stress. The purpose of this study is to empirically measure to what extent coping stress can affect online shopping behavior by college students during a pandemic. This study uses the online shopping behavior scale owned by Haidery et al. (2020) and coping stress scale from Martinez-Lopez et al. (2016). This study involved 453 college students from grade 1 to grade 4 who lives in Jakarta Greater area. The main data analysis technique in this research is Anacova. The results showed that by considering gender, coping with stress significantly affected online shopping behavior in college students during the pandemic. Another finding in this research also reveals that female students tend to display online shopping behavior and use shopping as coping stress compared to male students.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin pesat membuat e-learning banyak digunakan dalam dunia pendidikan, baik itu pendidikan dasar maupun perguruan tinggi. Penggunaan e-learning di perguruan tinggi membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih fleksibel dikarenakan tidak terbatas ruang dan waktu. keberhasilan e-learning juga sangat bergantung pada pengalaman dan persepsi pengguna terhadap sistem tersebut. Pengalaman pengguna merupakan fenomena luas yang menggambarkan bagaimana LMS dirasakan dan digunakan dalam proses e-learning. Pengalaman pengguna ini juga merupakan hal yang penting untuk memengaruhi proses belajar mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan evaluasi pengalaman pengguna pada aplikasi e-learning di salah satu perguruan tinggi swasta. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan skala pengalaman pengguna. Responden penelitian sebanyak 154 mahasiswa, laki-laki dan perempuan, terdiri dari berbagai jurusan dan berada pada tingkat 2-4. Hasil yang didapatkan pengalaman pengguna pada aplikasi e-learning berada dalam kategori sedang yang berarti secara keseluruhan pengalaman pengguna dalam platform lms cenderung terlihat menarik, mudah dikenali, efisien, aman digunakan, menyenangkan dan inovatif.

Abstract

Harga diri adalah salah satu hal yang penting dalam perkembangan individu terutama remaja. Salah satu yang dapat mempengaruhi harga diri pada santri adalah kualitas pertemanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kualitas pertemanan terhadap harga diri para santri. Responden penelitian berjumlah 257 santri, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel non-probability sampling yaitu purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala kualitas pertemanan dan skala harga diri. Hasil penelitian diketahui nilai F sebesar 9.468 dan signifikansi 0.002 (p<0.05) sehingga terdapat pengaruh kualitas pertemanan terhadap harga diri pada santri. Nilai R squared diketahui sebesar 0.036, yang berarti pengaruh kualitas pertemanan sebesar 3.6% terhadap harga diri sedangkan sisanya 96.4% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain diluar penelitian. Abstract

Career maturity in adolescents can assist in planning and determining the desired career choices according to their interests and abilities. One of the important things to be able to increase career maturity is self-efficacy. This study aims to empirically determine the effect of self-efficacy on career maturity in adolescents. The method used in this study was quantitative research with 158 respondents, aged 17-21 years, and the sampling technique used was incidental sampling. Measuring tools used in this study are career maturity scale and self-efficacy scale. Based on the results of data analysis using simple linear regression technique, it was found that there was an effect of self-efficacy on career maturity in adolescents, with an R squared value of 0.192 and a significance value of p<0.01. These results indicate that self-efficacy contributes 19.2% to career maturity in adolescents, while 90.8% is influenced by other factors that not examined in this study.

Abstract

Marriage and family life is very important for human being because from them, he/she will shape his/her own life, and from the family he/she learns to interact with surroundings. Each person wants to have a one-ina-lifetime-happines-marriage. One of the criteria that affect marriage is the marital satisfaction. Thus, self-disclosure is mentioned as one thing that affecting marital communication to make a real marital satisfaction. In daily life, women has better self-disclosure than men to articulate the feelings verbally. This facts is important to be known because men is more honest and open about himself in make a marital communication to have more marital satisfaction with his wife. The aim of this study is to know the contribution of self-disclosure to marital satisfaction in men. The results shows that self-disclosure has contribution around 56,9%, and the rest are another factors such as the equalitarian, sex, social life, region, and income. Beside that, the participants of this study has high score in marital satisfaction, and moderate score in self-disclosure.Key words: marital satisfaction, self-disclosure, men

Abstract

Pernikahan dan kehidupan berkeluarga penting bagi setiap manusia karena dari keluarga, seorang individu membentuk dirinya dan dari keluarga, individu belajar untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan luar. Setiap individu tentunya menginginkan perkawinan yang sukses dan sekali seumur hidupnya. Salah satu kriteria yang dapat mempengaruhi kesuksesan dalam perkawinan adalah kepuasan. Kemudian, salah satu kunci utama komunikasi yang dapat membantu membuat kepuasan perkawinan adalah self-disclosure. Namun, dalam kehidupan sehari-hari wanita yang lebih banyak melakukan self-disclosure dibandingkan dengan pria dikarenakan pria tidak dapat mengartikulasikan perasaan dan masalahnya secara verbal karena merasa kurang nyaman. Padahal pria yang dapat lebih jujur dan terbuka mengenai dirinya dalam berkomunikasi dengan pasangan akan dapat meningkatkan kepuasan perkawinannya. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi self-disclosure pada kepuasan perkawinan pria dewasa. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi self-disclosure secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan perkawinan pria dewasa awal, dan kontribusi tersebut sebesar 56.9%, sedangkan 43.1% lainnya kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain seperti equalitarian, seks, kehidupan sosial, tempat tinggal dan penghasilan. Selain itu, subjek dalam penelitian ini memiliki kepuasan perkawinan yang tinggi dengan self-disclosure yang tergolong rata-rata.
