Abstract

PT XYZ has implemented digital transformation through the development of an Electronic Equipment Management System (E-EMS) in response to the need for effective and efficient manual recording and preventive maintenance utilities in the GMP area. This web-based application integrates all data components as well as preventive maintenance schedules and reports, thereby strengthening inspection readiness and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). However, the extent to which the adoption of E-EMS, attitudes toward its use, and utilization of the system affect GMP indicators remains unknown. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use (PeoU) on perceived usefulness (PU) and attitude toward using (ATU), and behavioral intention to use (BItU) on actual system usage (ASU) as indicators of GMP achievement. The method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design to test the relationship between constructs. It also includes social influences and cognitive-instrumental processes such as subjective norm, image, job relevance, output quality, and result demonstrability, with experience and voluntaries as contextual factors that can influence the relationship between variables in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM2). Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Descriptive Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that perceived usefulness (PU) is significantly influenced by output quality (OQ), result demonstrability (RD), and job relevance (JR). The social factors of subjective norm (SN), image (Im), and experience (Ex) have no direct effect. Perceived ease of use (PEoU) has a positive and significant effect on perceived usefulness (PU). Employee attitudes are more influenced by ease than benefits (PEoU ® ATU), while PU ® ATU is not significant, meaning that PT XYZ employees have a positive attitude toward E-EMS when the system feels practical and not difficult, not because the system is useful. However, the attitude of continuous use intention arises when the system has positive and convenient characteristics driven by ease.

Abstract

Due to the volume of orders and network complexity, KUKAMI Delivery faces high operational costs and suboptimal routing using the Shortest Path Method. This method often results in inefficient routes in terms of distance because the starting points could be more optimal. Therefore, a more practical approach is needed to improve route efficiency. This study compares two route optimization methods: the Shortest Path Method and the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) with the Saving Matrix approach and Pool Clustering. The latter technique groups partners or suppliers within specific areas, facilitating more efficient rider assignments. The results of this study are significant for KUKAMI Delivery. They show that the Shortest Path Method can improve distance and operational costs by 8.8% for both inter-cluster and cross-cluster routes. However, applying the VRP with the Saving Matrix Method and Pool Clustering can further enhance distance and operational efficiency by 3.36% compared to the Shortest Path Method. These findings provide valuable insights for enhancing KUKAMI Delivery’s operations to better meet the growing demand in the local delivery industry.

Abstract

This study proposes a hybrid approach integrating behavioral modeling (PLS-SEM) and engineering diagnostics (Value Stream Mapping, Time Study, and Spaghetti Diagram) to evaluate and optimize service performance in nature-based tourism. Using survey data from 280 visitors to two West Java destinations, we test the effects of ergonomic design, service quality, technology integration, and environmental perception on operational efficiency, tourist satisfaction, and revisit intention. The structural model indicates that ergonomic design and environmental perception significantly enhance operational efficiency (ERG→OPE β = 0.404; ENV→OPE β = 0.552), which in turn strongly predicts satisfaction (OPE→SAT β = 0.944) and revisit intention (OPE→RI β = 0.619). The model shows substantial explanatory power (R²: OPE = 0.621; SAT = 0.891; RI = 0.383). Field diagnostics corroborate these findings: non-value-added time accounts for 38% of the end-to-end process, with notable delays at ticketing (+2.3 minutes vs standard) and route overlaps in high-density zones. Results suggest that environmental and ergonomic factors outperform technology and formal service attributes in driving outcomes within nature-based contexts. Theoretically, the study extends the S-O-R framework by positioning operational efficiency as a meso-level mediator linking physical stimuli to behavioral responses and bridging perception-based modeling with systems diagnostics. It provides actionable guidance for lean service redesign, wayfinding, and spatial reconfiguration to improve operational performance and visitor experience.

Abstract

Digital Transformation in the pharmaceutical industry grew rapidly, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to a surge in mobile healthcare service transactions. Kimia Farma Mobile, initiated by PT Kimia Farma Apotek, is a m-health application that provided medicine purchase, consultation, and laboratory services. However, the Kimia Farma Mobile application had a lower rating than its competitors. This study aimed to analyze user satisfaction and dissatisfaction levels based on Google Play Store reviews to understand the root causes of its low rating. Utilizing sentiment analysis, reviews were classified into positive and negative polarities. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) was then used to identify key factors influencing satisfaction and dissatisfaction within the M-Health Service Quality framework. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) method was chosen for its high accuracy, yielding an F1-score of 97.39%. The results showed that positive reviews were primarily driven by ease of use and helped users in providing optimal services. In contrast, negative reviews were linked to issues in Information Quality, Interaction Quality, and System Quality. This study concludes by providing specific recommendations to improve the application's service quality, operational systems, and overall user experience to enhance satisfaction and boost its rating.

Abstract

Efficiency in pharmaceutical warehousing is critical because accuracy, speed, and regulatory compliance determine overall supply chain reliability. PT X has experienced declining warehouse performance marked by rising defects, long cycle times, and significant non-value-added activities. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the causes of operational inefficiency and formulate structured improvements. Approach: Using the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC framework, the research applies waste identification, Value Stream Mapping, Cost of Poor Quality, DPMO and sigma measurement, Process Activity Mapping, and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis. The Measure stage reveals a total lead time of 4,890 minutes with only 250 minutes of value-added work (Process Cycle Efficiency = 5.11%) and sigma levels between 3.2–3.6 across eight defect types. Analyze findings indicate that waiting, motion, inventory, and defect waste dominate, with the highest risk originating from recording errors, missing items, and FIFO violations. Improvement through WMS digitalization, layout restructuring, SOP standardization, and visual management produces a more efficient future-state VSM. Conclusion: Inefficiency in PT X warehouse is systemic, rooted in human factors, work methods, and information flow. Originality: This study presents an integrated model combining Lean waste analysis and Six Sigma defect reduction as a unified framework for optimizing pharmaceutical warehouse operations.

Abstract

This research was conducted at PT Kimia Farma Plant Banjaran, a pharmaceutical manufacturer producing various types of medicines. The relatively high frequency of machine failures has become a serious issue that disrupts the production process and reduces productivity. Currently, the company employs a System Corrective and Planned Maintenance method carried out once a month depending on the type of machine. However, this approach is less effective, as it still results in high downtime, unexpected maintenance costs, and potential secondary damage. This study discusses the maintenance strategy for the Blistering Machine using the Fuzzy Reliability Centered Maintenance approach. The maintenance strategy is determined based on the risk level of each machine component. Components with Very Low Risk are maintained using the Run to Failure or simple routine monitoring strategy. Low Risk components are handled through periodic Preventive Maintenance. Medium Risk components are managed using Predictive Maintenance through actual condition monitoring. Components of High Risk are managed through Condition-Based Maintenance supported by real-time data without interrupting operations. Meanwhile, components with Very High Risk require Immediate Action supported by a Failure Mode and Effect Analysis. This approach enables a more effective and efficient maintenance system that minimizes the potential for machine failures.

Abstract

The gap between increasing demand and limited supply is due to government policies that regulate the purchase and storage of subsidized LPG. This condition requires distribution agents to have an inventory management system that is able to adjust needs appropriately and sustainably. PT Wira Citra Agung Mandiri as a 3KG LPG distribution agent in Bandung Regency is experiencing problems in stock management and product distribution. Symptoms of problems that arise are characterized by frequent shortages of inventory at the base and shop level when demand increases, as well as excess stock in certain periods. This condition occurs because the inventory management implemented is still reactive and not yet supported by a structured and integrated distribution planning system, thus having an impact on logistics efficiency and service quality to consumers. This research aims to describe the implementation of ongoing logistics management and evaluate the usefulness of the Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) model as an alternative distribution planning system in optimizing 3KG LPG supplies. The research method used is quantitative descriptive with analysis units of agents, bases and stalls which are members of the company's distribution network. Data was analyzed by comparing the Lot for Lot and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) methods in inventory management. The research results show that the application of DRP is able to produce distribution planning that is more systematic, coordinated and efficient than the Lot for Lot method. Apart from that, DRP has been proven to be able to reduce total inventory costs and overcome stock shortage problems significantly. Therefore, the implementation of DRP is recommended to be implemented comprehensively at PT Wira Citra Agung Mandiri in order to increase distribution efficiency and operational sustainability of 3KG LPG.
