Abstract

This research aims to assess the suitability and physical carrying capacity of Yanain Beach in Hulaliu State, Pulau Haruku District, Central Maluku Regency as a tourist destination. The methodology employed in this study involved a survey, collecting both primary and secondary data through direct field observations. Primary data included visual observations and measurements at Station 1 and Station 2, as well as interviews with visitors to the beach area. Data analysis utilized tourism suitability index and physical carrying capacity of the beach area. Yanain Beach covers an area of 2.14 hectares with a sandy beach width of 18.76 meters, providing ample space for tourist activities. Additionally, it features a relatively shallow depth (1.48 meters), slow current velocity (0.0847 m/s), and high water clarity (>80%), making it an attractive tourist destination. Based on the calculated values, it was concluded that Yanain Beach in Hulaliu Village is "Highly Suitable" for various tourism activities, with an average TSI score of 92.25%. Furthermore, the analysis of the beach's carrying capacity indicated that the area can accommodate 641 people per day for recreation purposes, and 407 people per day for swimming and bathing activities at the beach.

Abstract

Sago Ecotourism is a type of tourism with the main attraction being Sago or Sago Forest which applies the sago conservation aspect in it which is supported by the creation of a State Regulation related to the preservation of the Sago Forest to avoid the use of sago which can lead to the destruction of the Sago Forest ecosystem for sago processing which is part of the Sago Ecotourism attraction. The Land of Rutong is one of the countries in Maluku that develops part of its sago forest to be used as a location for Sago Ecotourism as a potential that can be useful for tourists who visit. Therefore, this study aims to find out the potential of Sago Ecotourism in the Land of Rutong. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis method with data obtained through field observation at the location of Sago Ecotourism and interviews with sago ecotourism managers. The results of the study show that the potential of sago ecotourism in the country of rutong includes the ecosystem of the sago forest which has three types of sago trees, the sago processing process using traditional tools, and culinary tourism made from sago. This potential becomes an experience and a new source of knowledge that is different from other tourist attractions

Abstract

This research aims to determine the tourist objects and attractions in the Pombo Island Nature Tourism Park and also the carrying capacity of the Pombo Island tourist area. This research is a qualitative and quantitative descriptive research in the form of written words and analysis of tourist objects and attractions. The research results showed that there were 17 types of plants including seedlings, saplings, poles and trees. There are 23 types of birds found, there are also nesting habitats for gosard birds and hawksbill turtles which can be a tourist attraction. The calculation of the ecotourism carrying capacity index in the Pombo Island area has a value of 73.80%, indicating that the Pombo Island beach is "very suitable" to be used as an area for beach ecotourism. The PCC value of 1,044 means that the Pombo Island TWA area can accommodate 1,044 tourists/day.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the appeal of the Air Putri Waiyoho tourist attraction and visitors' perceptions of Air Putri Waiyoho in Kawa Village, West Seram Regency. This research uses a survey method to assess the viability of the tourist attraction's potential, based on criteria from the Guidelines for Operational Area Analysis of Nature Tourism Attractions (ADO-ODTWA) by the Directorate General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation (PHKA) in 2003, and qualitative descriptive analysis to understand visitor perceptions, with a sample of 77 visitor respondents interviewed.The main attraction at Air Putri Waiyoho is the fresh water spring in a bathing pool with clear, bright water surrounded by lush trees, enhancing the appeal for tourism activities. Based on the Tourism Feasibility Index analysis, the attraction criteria score 80.95%, accessibility criteria score 72.2%, and visitor facilities and infrastructure criteria score 66.6%. Thus, the feasibility analysis places Air Putri Waiyoho as a high-category tourist attraction. Visitor perceptions indicate a 100% attraction appeal, available facilities at 90.91%, and accessibility with 48% noting ease of transportation and reachability.

Abstract

This research uses qualitative analysis methods, research procedures which produce descriptive data in the form of written and spoken words from people and observed behavior. The method used is a survey method where data is obtained by interviewing or filling in a list of questions, direct observation (observation) and literature study. The research results show that community participation can be seen in the form of incentive, interactive and initiative participation at OWA Lintui Beach.

Abstract

This study has two main objectives, namely (1) Analyzing the level of suitability of the tourist area at Rutah Beach located in Amahai District, Central Maluku Regency and (2) Assessing the physical capacity of the Rutah Beach area. In collecting visitor data, the researcher applied the Accidental sampling technique. Based on the analysis conducted, the Rutah Beach recreation area located in Rutah Village, Amahai District, Central Maluku Regency obtained an average Tourism Suitability Index (IKW) score of 85%, which places it in the "very suitable" classification as a beach tourism destination. Meanwhile, the physical capacity of this beach can accommodate up to 820 people per day for picnic activities and 592 people per day for swimming activities.

Abstract

This study aims to know about the factors that influenced land cover changes in Gunung Sirimau Protected Forest Area. The method used in this study is crosstab analysis with a chi-square test, which is used to know the correlation between one variable and another variable. This study showed that people's dependence on forests influenced the land cover change in the Gunung Sirimau Protected Forest area. At the same time, other factors such as the income of people, knowledge about forest boundaries, and natural disasters did not influence land cover change in Gunung Sirimau's protected forest.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the potential for hot spring ecotourism in Nalahia village on Nusalaut Island, Central Maluku Regency. The method used is direct observation (survey method). Data was collected on all-natural tourist attractions through fauna data around hot springs. Tourist data collection is done by conducting interviews using a questionnaire for tourists with accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis of tourism potential in hot springs attractions and tourists visiting Nalahia hot springs. The results showed that hot water attractions in Nalahia country are found in two places, namely "Bantang" hot springs around the sago forest and hot springs on the beach known as "kerkof" hot springs with different temperatures between 38 ̊C to 43 C. Tourist activities that are often carried out by tourists are bathing and bathing, enjoying the natural scenery, taking pictures and research. The object hot spring tourism attraction in Negeri Nalahia, based on the results of interviews with tourists, is the main activity tourists carry out. The results of discussions related to tourist perceptions of hot spring attractions, 90% of tourists stated that the Nalahia hot spring tourist attraction has attractiveness and beautiful natural scenery, so many tourists think they want to return to Nalahia country, while facilities are limited, a suggestion from tourists to be able to carry out the construction of facilities around the hot spring tourist area. Community participation in the Nalahia hot spring tourism activities involves ideas, human power, and expertise.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the indigenous people of Seram Island and several species of animals that are utilized for socio-cultural purposes and how the practice of ethnozoology can contribute to sustainable conservation efforts. The research was conducted using an ethnographic approach through in-depth interviews with purposively selected respondents. Qualitative descriptive analysis was conducted systematically based on themes that bind the types of animals studied. The results showed that the practice of ethnozoology includes utilization for ritual purposes related to local community belief values. Some animal species that are utilized for special purposes include Cuscuses (Phalanger spp.) and wild boar (Sus scrofa) which are useful for traditional ceremonies. The animals are killed and the meat is divided to be eaten during the ceremony. Gosong Bird (Eulipoa wallacei) as a Season Marker helps the community in managing agricultural land, marked by the presence or absence of these animals at certain locations. Deer (Rusa timorensis) as a Source of Food and Social Status by utilizing its meat. Cassowary (Casuarius spp.) as a symbol of strength. Hornbill (Rhyticeros plicatus) as a symbol of longevity. These animals are utilized by indigenous people not only for traditional rituals but also for animal protein needs such as cuscuses, Wild Boar and Deer. The needs of the indigenous community for the aforementioned animals have encouraged the community to maintain and preserve them based on their local wisdom such as the application of Sasi.

Abstract

Early age group assistance (Fast Star Integrated PAUD) aims to motivate and shape children's character from an early age to love nature and preserve the environment. This mentoring and field practice approach while learning was chosen to provide knowledge, understanding and skills to students about the importance of a tree or plant for human life and the natural environment. The stages of implementing this activity include Seed Preparation, Land Preparation, Seedling Transportation, Socialization about the Importance of Trees for Life, and Planting. Students gave a positive response to the importance of trees for life by asking questions and answering questions given during socialization. In addition, the motivation given to the students aroused their enthusiasm to carry out planting at Suli Beach and around their respective homes.
