Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari substitusi bungkil kedelai dengan Indigofera zollingeriana hasil fermentasi terhadap sifat fisik pellet setelah masa penyimpanan satu bulan. Penelitian uji sifat fisik pellet dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai September 2018 yang bertempat di Laboratorium terpadu Fakultas Pertanian UNIGA. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu Metode Eksperiental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, yaitu : R0 = Bungkil kedelai 26%, Indigofera fermentasi 0%; R1 = Bungkil kedelai 19,5%, Indigofera fermentasi 6,5%; R2 = Bungkil kedelai 13%, Indigofera fermentasi 13%; R3= Bungkil kedelai 6,5%, Indigofera fermentasi 19,5%; R4 = Bungkil kedelai 0%, Indigofera fermentasi 26%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Indigofera zollingeriana sampai level 26% tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap sifat fisik Pellet setelah masa penyimpanan satu bulan. ¬Kata-kata Kunci :Indigofera zollingeriana, Pellet, Sifat fisik, Penyimpanan Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of substitution of soybean meal with Indigofera zollingeriana fermentation on the physical properties of pellets after a one-month storage period. Research on physycal properties of pellets was conducted from April to September 2018 which is located at the UNIGA Agriculture Faculty Integrated Laboratory. The method used is the Experimental Method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications, that is : R0 = 26% soybean meal, 0% fermented Indigofera; R1 = 19.5% soybean meal, fermented Indigofera 6.5%; R2 = 13% soybean meal, fermented Indigofera 13%; R3 = 6.5% soybean meal, fermented Indigofera 19.5%; R4 = 0% soybean meal, 26% fermented Indigofera. Based on the results of the study showed that addition of indigofera zollingeriana to level 26% did not have a significant effect on the physical properties of pellets after a one-month storage period Keywords: Indigofera zollingeriana, Pellets, Physical properties, Storage

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan molasses pada proses fermentasi daun gamal terhadap nilai pH dan kadar air yang dihasilkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan di ulang sebanyak 4 kali. Perlakuan yang digunakan terdiri dari R1= Penambahan 1% molasses, R2= Penambahan 2% molasses R3= Penambahan 3% molasses, R4= Penambahan 4% molasses dan R5= Penambahan 5% molasses. Untuk menguji lebih lanjut perbedaan rata-rata pada setiap perlakuan dilakukan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan molasses berpengaruh nyata terhadap nilai pH pada fermentasi daun gamal, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar air. Penambahan molasses sebanyak 4% menunjukkan rata –rata nilai pH terbaik yaitu sebesar 4,2 terhadap hasil fermentasi daun gamal. Kata kunci: Molases, pH, Kadar Air, Fermentasi, Gamal Abstract This study aimed to finding out the effects addition molases on fermentation Gliricidia sepium leaf to pH and water value. The research method used was Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment is, R1= increment 1% molasses, R2= increment 2% molasses R3= increment 3% molasses, R4= increment 4% molasses dan R5= increment 5% molasses. The results showed the addition molases on fermentation Gliricidia sepium leaf was significant effect on pH value of fermentation Gliricidia sepium leaf but no significant effect on water content. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penggunaan kunyit (Curcuma domestica Val) dan sediaan ekstrak kurkuma pada air minum terhadap performa ayam broiler. Penelitian penggunaan kunyit ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2019 yang bertempat di Babakan Jambe Desa Pasawahan Kecamatan Tarogong Kaler. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu Metode Eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, yaitu : R0 = Air Minum Tanpa Tepung Kunyit, Tanpa sediaan ekstrak kurkuma, R1 = Air Minum + Tepung kunyit 2,5 gram; R2 = Air Minum + Tepung Kunyit 5 gram; R3= Air Minum + Sediaan Ekstrak Kurkuma 0,5 gram; R4 = Air Minum + Sediaan Ekstrak Kurkuma 1 gram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan Kunyit dan sediaan ekstrak kurkuma memberikan pengaruh yang sama terhadap performa ayam broiler. Kata Kunci : Kunyit, Air Minum, Broiler, Performa Abstract The research was aimed to determine the effect of the use tumeric (Curcuma domestica) in drinking water on the performance of broilers. The research on the on the use of tumeric was conducted in July to August 2019 which was located in Babakan Jambe Pasawahn Village, Tarogong Kaler District. The methode used is the experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replictions, namley : R0 = Drinking Water + Tumeric Flour 2.5 grams; R2 = Drinking Water + Tumeric Flour 5 gram; R3 = Drinking Water + Kurcuma extract preparations 0.5 grams; R4 = Drinking Water + Kurcuma extract preparations 1 gram. the results of the research showed that the addition of tumeric flour and Kurcuma extract preparations have a similar effect on the broiler performans. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur panen terhadap produksi maggot BSF (Black Soldier Fly ). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kp. Babakan Tahu Rt/ Rw 02/01 Desa Karyamukti Kecamatan Cibatu Kabupaten Garut pada bulan Agustus-September 2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan  (P1 : Umur panen 7 hari, P2 : Umur panen 14 hari, P3 : Umur panen 21 hari dan P4 : Umur panen 28 hari) dan 5 ulangan. Peubah yang diamati yaitu bobot, panjang dan diameter maggot BSF (Black Soldier Fly). Uji lanjut yang digunakan adalah Uji Lanjut Berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umur panen berpengaruh terhadap produksi maggot BSF dan umur panen  maggot BSF yang optimal adalah pemanenan yang dilakukan pada umur 28 hari. Umur panen maggot BSF pada 28 hari menghasilkan nilai rataan bobot maggot BSF 17.83 gram, Panjang 17.84 mm dan diameter 4.94 mm.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses fermentasi anaerob pada daun gamal terhadap laju perubahan kadar asam, laju produksi asam laktat, serta laju produksi amonia. Pengujian dilakukan di Laboratorium Nutrisi dan Kimia Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Padjajaran. Pada penelitian ini metoda yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi. Model regresi terbaik ditentukan berdasarkan koefisien determinasi tertinggi dengan analisis standar error terendah. Bahan yang dipakai adalah gamal dan molases. Variabel bebas adalah jumlah hari yang dimulai dari hari ke-0 sampai hari ke-21 yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Variabel respon terdiri dari derajat asam, asam laktat dan amonia. Pengamatan dilakukan mulai dari hari ke 0,3,6,9,12,15,18, dan 21 untuk melihat proses fermentasi yang berpengaruh terhadap derajat asam, asam laktat, serta amonia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa laju fermentasi mempengaruhi kadar pH, persentase asam laktat, dan kandungan amonia. Persamaan kuadratik yang terbentuk untuk laju perubahan pH (Y=2,6578+0,2749X-0,010095X2), persamaan laju produksi asam laktat (Y=1,1862+0,4267X–0,0177X2) dan persamaan laju produksi amonia (Y=1,0894+0,5675X–0,0124X2). Fermentasi yang optimal dicapai pada hari ke-12 yang ditunjukkan oleh kurva kuadratik.

Abstract

The Pelung chicken is known for its distinctive crow, which is the main criterion for judging in contests. However, the correlation between bioacoustics and morphometrics has rarely been studied. This study aims to describe the characteristics of Pelung chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) crowing and its correlation with morphometrics. A survey method with a purposive sampling technique was used on 20 chickens in the general category and 20 chickens in the Jajangkar category at the 7th Rector Cup contest at Garut University on November 10, 2024. The observed variables were bioacoustics, including the number of syllables, vocalization duration, volume, and frequency, as well as morphometrics, including neck length, neck circumference, and body weight. The data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test and the Spearman correlation test. Results showed that chickens in both categories had three syllables with a crowing duration of 10.10 seconds, a volume of 39.28 dB, and a frequency of 456.95 Hz in the general category. The Jajangkar category had a crowing duration of 9.15 seconds, a volume of 39.90 dB, and a frequency of 459.35 Hz. The Mann-Whitney U test revealed significant differences: the general category had a higher total duration and second syllable than the Jajangkar category. A significant positive correlation was found between body weight, voice volume, and voice frequency in the general category. In the Jajangkar category, neck length showed a significant positive correlation with duration and frequency. However, there was a significant negative correlation between body weight and frequency and between neck circumference and volume.
