Development of educational games focuss on the problem occured on bay management, primarily on loading container at ship bay. The loading plan problem in ship bay commonly known as Master Bay Plan Problem (MBPP). The complexity of MBPP can be seen on its constraints, that are container weight, container destination, container size, container type, and the arrangement rule of container. The study case and playing rules in this game development are adjusted to contextual theory and real situation occured in container arrangement at ship bay. The prototype of this game is called StowaGame. StowaGame is a simulation-based educational games related to container arrangement in ship bay. This software are built with the integration of MBPP and entertainment concept. The effectivity of this educational game will be tested by several player. The MBPP concept of each player will be tested before and after playing the game. Paired-t test calculation shows that p-value is less than 0,05. Thus, it can be concluded that the educational game can educate people with container arrangement concept in ship bay.

This research discusses mathematical models of joint economic lot size optimization in a supplier-buyer inventory system in a situation when the supplier offers decremental temporary discounts during a sale period. Here, the sale period consists of n phases and the phases of discounts offered descend as much as the number of phases. The highest discount will be given when orders are placed in the first phase while the lowest one will be given when they are placed in the last phase. In this situation, the supplier attempts to attract the buyer to place orders as early as possible during the sale period. The buyers will respon these offers by ordering a special quantity in one of the phase. In this paper, we propose such a forward buying model with discount-proportionally-distributed time phases. To examine the behaviour of the proposed model, we conducted numerical experiments. We assumed that there are three phases of discounts during the sale period. We then compared the total joint costs of special order placed in each phase for two scenarios. The first scenario is the case of independent situation – there is no coordination between the buyer and the supplie-, while the second scenario is the opposite one, the coordinated model. Our results showed the coordinated model outperform the independent model in terms of producing total joint costs. We finally conducted a sensitivity analyzis to examine the other behaviour of the proposed model. Keywords: supplier-buyer inventory system, forward buying model, decremental temporary discounts, joint economic lot sizing, optimization. Â

This research discusses the maintenance problem of a small commerÂcial aircraft with propeller engine, typed ATR-72. Based on the mainÂÂtenance records, the aircraft has average 294 routine activities that have to be monitored and done based on determined threshold interval. This research focuses on developing a metaÂheuristic model to optimize the aircraft’s utility, called Crow Search Algorithm (CSA) to solve the Aircraft Maintenance Problem (AMP). The algorithm is developed and tested whether a younger metaÂheuristic method, CSA, is able to give better performance comparÂed to the older methods, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and other hybriÂdized method PSO with Greedy Randomized Adaptive Search Optimization (PSO-GRASP). Several experiments are performed by using parameters: 1000 maximum iteration and 600 maximum computaÂtion time by using four dataset combinations. The results show that CSA can give better performance than PSO but worse than PSO-GRASP.

This article describes the development of an uncapacitated p-hub median problem model. The established model will be applied in determining the location of the hub. Generally in the median p-hub model problem, it is known that the number of hubs built with the total cost minimization function. In this developed model, there is no limit to the number of hubs and the function of the intended destination is how many hubs are built. The model also looks for where the hub location will be built and which nodes are allocated to each hub. By eliminating the limitation of the number of hubs built, the model adds a total total timeout limit. The numerical experiments are dealing with the model. The solution to solve the model using excel solver. So that it will be designed spread sheet excel appropriate model. In numerical experiments, dummy data representing real systems will be used with the aim of shortening computational time. Numerical experiments are performed in several conditions scenarios. Computational results generate the location of hubs and nodes allocated to each hub with various experimental scenarios.

In this era, companies to transfer some of their logistical functions to third party logistics (3PL). In this study, a risk evaluation, and mitigation system at the initiation of collaboration with third-party logistics companies for agricultural chemical industry companies were developed. The basic model used in system development is House of Risk combined with SOAR methodology and scenario analysis. This system is used for consideration in decision making by evaluating and giving suggestions on the extent to which the use of 3PL is used to resolve company problems due to risk. The risk evaluation and mitigation system at the initiation of cooperation with a third-party logistics company in the agrochemical industry were successfully developed. The system consists of four processes (risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation, and risk response) compiled based on the ISO 31000: 2009 framework

In this article, focus on the simulation of a three-phase perishable product inventory system of a SMEs selling fresh and processed milkfish. This research was conducted to simulate a perishable product inventory system to understand and analyze the problems that occur then propose solutions to fix them. The simulation model was developed with ARENA software, simulation results of the existing condition show that there is 162 kg/month waste in fresh fish, 158 pcs/month in processed product A, and 86 pcs/month in processed product B. A model with a product renewal process mechanism was proposed to overcome this problem, and seven improvement scenarios were developed. The results obtained from the seventh improvement scenario revealed that there was a 100% reduction in fresh fish and processed product B and 94% in processed product A. Besides, there was a saving in need for fresh fish supply of 10 kg/day. In this article, we show how ARENA software can be adopted to simulate inventory system problems effectively. The method in this research can be applied to investigate various supply system scenarios and their consequences before implementing it in a real system.

The freshness of vegetables cannot always be sustained because vegetables are one of the perishable horticultural products. The decline of freshness of these vegetables is due to physical, chemical, and physiological factors which appear naturally after the harvesting process. To ensure the freshness of vegetables when distributed, refrigerated containers were designed in this study by combining the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Teoriya Reshenia Izobretatelskikh Zadatch (TRIZ). To get the voice of customer as the main input in the QFD method, interviews were conducted to 10 vegetable producers in Indonesia as potential consumers of designed refrigerated container products. Contradictions that arise between several technical responses in QFD are resolved by the TRIZ method. As the final result, this study recommends 12 target specifications that can be implemented on the prototype of the designed refrigerated container.
