Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to develop a blended learning design based on a special storytelling method for religious and moral learning in PAUD Kristen Surakarta. This study uses a qualitative method with a level 1 research and development model covering the stages of needs analysis, design, and design validation by experts and practitioners. The final result of this research is the finding of a blended learning design based on the storytelling method in religious and moral learning in PAUD Kristen Surakarta. The design has been conceptually validated by experts and practitioners. Keywords: Blended Learning, Storytelling, Religious and Moral Learning Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan sebuah rancangan blended learning berbasis metode storytelling khusus pada pembelajaran agama dan moral di PAUD Kristen Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan model penelitian dan pengembangan level 1 meliputi tahap analisis kebutuhan, membuat rancangan, dan validasi rancangan oleh ahli dan praktisi. Hasil akhir penelitian ini adalah temuan yaitu rancangan blended learning berbasis metode storytelling pada pembelajaran agama dan moral di PAUD Kristen Surakarta. Rancangan telah tervalidasi secara konseptual oleh ahli dan praktisi. Kata Kunci: Blended Learning, Storytelling, Pembelajaran Agama dan Moral

Abstract

Integrating the concept of Ikigai from the Japanese tradition with Christian theology in the context of vocational ministry and faith formation emphasizes the balance between passion, profession, mission, and vocation. Ikigai strengthens the internalization of Christian values in everyday life, especially in work and ministry. In the era of globalization and secularization, the fragmentation of values is a challenge that makes it difficult for many Christians to align their spiritual calling with the demands of modern and professional life. Ikigai offers a holistic approach that unites spiritual and worldly aspects, giving new meaning to work to fulfill the divine calling. By applying Ikigai in Christian religious education, individuals can find a balance between work, faith, and service to others. This helps people live a more meaningful life calling and strengthens their commitment to the faith and mission that God has set so that professional and spiritual lives support each other.

Abstract

This research aims to identify effective strategies for teaching life skills based on Christian values ​​during the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has changed how learning is done, forcing teachers to innovate in delivering material online. This creates challenges in building supportive and inclusive learning environments and helping students manage psychological and emotional stress. The research method used is a literature study and document analysis to identify relevant strategies. The research results show that several effective strategies include building an inclusive learning environment online, adopting a student-centred learning approach, integrating emotional and mental well-being aspects in learning, adapting curriculum and methods, collaborating between schools, parents and communities, and utilizing technology effectively maximum. Hopefully, these findings can help teachers develop effective learning strategies in teaching life skills based on Christian values ​​during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of competence and professionalism of Sunday School teachers in addressing the challenges of children’s faith education in the digital era. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and documentation in local churches. The findings reveal that Sunday School teachers possess adequate biblical knowledge, yet their pedagogical skills and use of creative media remain limited. Their professionalism is reflected in high dedication, service commitment, and spiritual integrity, but weaknesses persist in lesson preparation and classroom management. The main challenges identified include the lack of formal training, the absence of a structured curriculum, insufficient learning facilities, and the influence of digital culture on children’s learning patterns. The implications highlight the need for systematic and continuous church-led training, including pedagogical development, media provision, and regular teacher evaluation. Enhancing teacher competence and professionalism is thus crucial to ensuring the effectiveness of children’s faith education.

Abstract

In the past decade, Pentecostal scholars have continued to make improvements in all aspects of human life. This includes the world of education and ecclesiastical. The world of Pentecostal Education has undertaken a process of re-extraction of theology and its pedagogy. This process is carried out by absorbing the values echoed by Paulo Freire about the concept of Education which provides as much space as possible for the development of free thinking. Free thinking is meant by the spirit of social humanism with fellow human beings, not oppressing in the form of verbally or in deeds, and parallels between teachers and students. Whereas in ecclesiastical, the value of humanizing humans to understand humans as a whole is. The method used to collect data is descriptive qualitative with library studies. The results of the study found that the Freire concept was in the process of absorbing and being applied by Bethel School of Theology even though it had been modified into a Pentecostal Catechesis concept. Meanwhile, in an ecclesiastical context, GBI has adopted Freire's values in the form of humanizing training such as the Healing Movement Camp (HMC), I am a Christ Follower (SPK), and Doulos Camp. AbstrakDalam satu dekade terakhir, para cedikiawan Pentakosta terus melakukan pembenahan dalam segala aspek kehidupan umat. Termasuk didalamnya dunia Pendidikan dan gerejawi. Dunia Pendidikan pentakosta melakukan proses reekstraksi akan teologi dan pedagoginya. Proses ini dilakukan dengan menyerap nilai-nilai yang digemakan oleh Paulo Freire akan konsep Pendidikan yang memberikan ruang sebesar-besarnya untuk kepengembangan berpikir bebas. Berpikir bebas yang dimaksud adalah semangat humanisme sosial dengan sesama manusia, tidak melakukan penindasan dalam bentuk verbal maupun perbuatan, dan kesejajaran antara guru dan murid. Sedangkan dalam gerejawi, nilai memanusiakan manusia untuk memahami manusia secara utuh adalah. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi perpustakaan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa konsep Freire sedang dalam proses menyerap dan aplikasi oleh Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Bethel meskipun telah dimodifikasi menjadi konsep Katekesis Pentakosta. Sedangkan dalam konteks gerejawi, GBI telah mengadopsi nilai Freire dalam bentuk pelatihan memanusiakan manusia seperti Healing Movement Camp (HMC), Saya Pengikut Kristus (SPK), dan Doulos Camp.

Abstract

Education is the foundation for existence, sustainability, work performance, and the meaning of human life. The starting point for humans to learn occurs at home as a family's primary residence. That is why the educational aspect must be the main priority in the design of family governance. In the modern era, the position of the home as the first and most enjoyable place of learning for children tends to be marginalized by various things. Therefore, this research aims to affirm and construct the centrality of the home as a learning garden for children in Christian faith education. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with an analysis of the thoughts of Carl-Mario Sultana and Joas Adiprasetya. The research results show that the contemporary socio-cultural context currently being experienced requires strengthening the role of the family in children's faith education. Parents must be role models, provide play time, and educate children in the truthful values of God's Word. This ideal can be achieved if parents practice garden spirituality, which causes children to express their spirituality freely.AbstrakPendidikan adalah landas tumpu fundamental eksistensi, keberlanjutan, performa kerja, dan kebermaknaan hidup manusia. Titik mulai manusia menjalani proses belajarnya terjadi di rumah, sebagai tempat tinggal utama keluarga. Itulah sebabnya aspek pendidikan harus menempati prioritas utama dan pertama dalam rancang bangun tata kelola keluarga. Di era modern, posisi rumah sebagai taman belajar yang pertama dan menyenangkan bagi anak cenderung terpinggirkan oleh banyak hal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengafirmasi dan mengkonstruksi sentralitas rumah sebagai taman belajar bagi anak dalam pendidikan iman Kristen. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan analisis pemikiran Carl-Mario Sultana dan Joas Adiprasetya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konteks sosio-kultural kontemporer yang dijalani saat ini menuntut penguatan peran keluarga dalam pendidikan keimanan anak-anak. Orang tua harus menjadi role model, memberikan waktu bermain, dan mendidik anak dalam nilai-nilai kebenaran Firman Tuhan. Cita-cita ini dapat tercapai apabila orang tua mempraktikkan spiritualitas taman yang menyebabkan anak dengan bebas mengekspresikan spiritualitasnya

Abstract

Effective education provides positive energy to humans as an effort to realize it. However, it is a shame because, lately, educational phenomena are still trapped in the black area. Spaces for discussion, debate, and freedom of thought are reduced to the mere fulfillment of the curriculum. Conditions like this place students as passive objects. This study aims to reveal the principles of liberating education in Christian religious education. This study uses library research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Empirical facts provide evidence that the implementation of education at this time is still conventional. Paulo Freire critically and transformatively breaks through the deadlock in education due to the interference of power and owners of capital by offering revolutionary, philosophical, and reflective concepts and approaches on how humans should be educated to become truly human beings who are aware of their existence and work in the concrete world. This condition can be realize through the application of educational dialectics. The solution recommendation from this research is applying the dialectical method in the educational process as the best way to present superior individuals who understand educational institutions as public spaces where all kinds of perspectives resolve through rigid discourse. Pendidikan efektif memberikan energi positif kepada manusia sebagai upaya mewujudkan. Namun patut disayangkan karena ternyata belakangan ini masih ditemukan fenomena pendidikan yang terjebak di area hitam. Ruang-ruang diskusi, debat, dan kebebasan berpikir direduksi sebatas pemenuhan kurikulum semata. Kondisi seperti ini menempatkan peserta didik sebagai objek pasif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan prinsip pendidikan yang membebaskan dalam pendidikan agama Kristen. Penelitian ini menggunakan riset perpustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Fakta empiris memberi bukti bahwa pelaksanaan pendidikan di saat ini masih konvensional. Paulo Freire secara kritis dan transformatif menerobos kebuntuan pendidikan akibat campur tangan kekuasaan dan pemilik modal dengan menawarakan konsep dan pendekatan revolusioner, filosofis dan reflektif tentang bagaimana manusia seharusnya dididik menjadi benar-benar manusia yang sadar akan eksistensi dan kiprahnya dalam dunia konkretnya. Kondisi ini dapat diwujudkan melalui penerapan dialektika pendidikan. Rekomendasi solutif dari penelitian ini yakni penerapan metode dialetika dalam proses pendidikan sebagai jalan terbaik untuk menghadirkan pribadi unggul yang memahami lembaga pendidikan sebagai ruang publik di mana segala macam perspektif dituntaskan melalui diskursus yang rigid.

Abstract

This study examines teacher pedagogy's transformation through a creative and postmodern approach in Christian Religious Education. In the postmodern era, filled with complexity and dynamics, teachers must have high creativity, flexibility, and interdisciplinary abilities in the learning process. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques used in library research. The research procedure includes three stages: first, examining the basic concepts of teacher creativity; second, identifying indicators of creative teachers; and third, formulating strategies for developing teacher creativity in the postmodern era. The study results show that teacher creativity is greatly influenced by deep knowledge, innovation in teaching methods, and digital technology. A postmodern approach that emphasizes flexibility, interdisciplinarity, and innovation in learning is essential to overcome the challenges of the times and improve the quality of education. Implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles in school management, improving learning facilities, and regular training and developing teacher skills are critical strategies for creating a conducive learning environment. Thus, this study provides practical and theoretical guidance to enhance the creativity of Christian Religious Education teachers and produce a generation that is intelligent, skilled, and Christ-like in character.
