Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan produk berupa media Smart Box untuk Siswa kelas 4 di SDN Cijujung 01 Kabupaten Bogor. 2) Menguji keefektifan penggunaan produk pengembangan media Smart Box untuk Siswa kelas 4 di SDN Cijujung 01 Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Developmet), dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan (1974) sebagai alur tahapan penelitian. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan wawancara, angket dan test. Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan satu guru kelas 4D dan 34 siswa kelas 4D SDN Cijujung 01 Kabupaten Bogor. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknil analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitaif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah media 3D Smart Box, yang telah divalidasi oleh para ahli adalah produk layak untuk digunakan. Hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa: (1) uji coba small group dengan nilai 63,37% kategori “efektif”, (2) uji coba field test dengan nilai 66,59% kategori “efektif”, (3) hasil angket respon uji coba small group dengan skor 97,1% kategori “sangat valid”, (4) hasil angket uji coba field test dengan skor 95,2% kategori “sangat valid”. Kesimpulan Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) Media Smart Box dapat meningkatkan pemahaman belajar siswa kelas 4 di SDN Cijujung 01 Kabupaten Bogor, dan (2) Media Smart Box efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran “Pendidikan Pancasila” di kelas 4. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Smart Box, 3D. This development research aims to: 1) produce a product in the form of Smart Box media for 4th grade students at SDN Cijujung 01 Bogor Regency. 2) Test the effectiveness of the use of Smart Box media development products for 4th grade students at SDN Cijujung 01 Bogor Regency. This research is a development research (Research and Developmet), using the 4D development model developed by Thiagarajan (1974) as the flow of research stages. The data collection used interviews, questionnaires and tests. The subjects of this research involved one 4D class teacher and 34 4D class students of SDN Cijujung 01 Bogor Regency. Data analysis in this study used qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The result of this research is 3D Smart Box media, which has been validated by experts is a product worth using. The results of the field trial showed that: (1) small group trial with a value of 63.37% in the “effective” category, (2) field test trial with a value of 66.59% in the “effective” category, (3) the results of the small group trial response questionnaire with a score of 97.1% in the “very valid” category, (4) the results of the field test questionnaire with a score of 95.2% in the “very valid” category. Conclusion The results of the study are: (1) Smart Box media can improve learning comprehension of grade 4 students at SDN Cijujung 01 Bogor Regency, and (2) Smart Box media is effectively used as a learning media for “Pancasila Education” in grade 4.

Abstract

The development of digital learning tools has progressed educational practices even though there is a need for engaging and validated resources tailored for university-level instruction. There are many digital modules lack rigorous development and validation, potentially limiting their effectiveness in enhancing learning experiences. This Research and Development (R&D) study aimed to develop a digital learning module in a flipbook format specifically designed for university learners. Utilizing the instructional development model procedure, the research employed both qualitative and quantitative methodologies where qualitative data were gathered through expert validation feedback, while quantitative data were collected via expert validation through questionnaires. This research employed data collection instruments included questionnaires, observation, and interviews. The participants of the study included students from educational study program. The developed digital flipbook module underwent rigorous validation by subject matter, media, and language experts, achieving high validity scores of 100%, 89.13%, and 97.22%, respectively. Furthermore, the module was tested with university learners through individual trials (96.875% validity), small group trials (91.67% validity), and field trials (90.21% validity), all indicating a "very valid" rating for all matters. The consistently high validation scores across expert review and learner trials provide valid evidence that the developed digital flipbook module is a suitable and effective media for enhancing the university learners’ learning experience. In conclusion, the findings support the idea that digital flipbook module offer both engaging and validated learning resources for university- level education.
