Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the composition of the traditional Gamelan music drama Amaq Abir in Sanggar Pustaka Budaya Marong Village, Central Lombok. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The results showed that Amaq Abir's Gamelan music has a composition of three types of Gending, namely: First Asmarandane Gending has a tempo between slow and fast with an expressive style with flat or horizontal melody and up to adjust the movements of the players on the stage. Both Oncer Prabu Gending have slow to medium tempo, dynamic a bit hard and a bit soft with a more even melody motion, up and down according to the scene. The three Gending Batelan has a fast tempo, getting louder and louder, the music style is light and fast with a rising melody motion, irregular tone movements. Each Gending has a rhythm that changes according to the situations and conditions of the play in the drama. The conclusion of the research is that the traditional Gamelan music of Amaq Abir has musical elements such as: rhythm, melody, harmony, tempo, dynamics, and style and is played with three types of gending with the Perembak technique and Bekilitan technique. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the vocal technique of Tembang Jati Sware in the Bebadosan Terune Art Studio, Lenek Village, East Lombok Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Primary data is the sound of Tembang Jati Sware Pupuh Dang-Dang, while secondary data comes from informants and texts in the form of oral and written. The results showed that when reciting Tembang Jati Sware using chest breathing. Articulation changes occur when the song is read. In Tembang Jati Sware, there are ten sentence breaks, namely on each comma. The body position when the tone is high is upright, the chest is outstretched, and the shoulders are opened, while when the tone is low the body position is normal. The intonation of the song is free, the vibration occurs every last sentence more than 4 beats to 8 beats. The conclusion of this paper is the vocal technique of the Jati Sware Dang-Dang song in Pepaosan which consists of: breathing, articulation, sentence fragments, singing position, intonation, vibration, and improvisation. Abstract

This paper is based on the results of research aimed at describing the existence and development of Burdah music performances in Lombok Timur The type of research used descriptive qualitatively using methods with the object of study is the Burdah music. The location of this research is in Rempung Village, Pringgasela District, Lombok Timur Regency. The target of the study in this study is the existence of Burdah music performances. Data is collected through observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are performed with data reduction steps, data presentation and data verification. The results of this study showed that the factors that support the existence of Burdah music consists of good management, has a complete organizational structure with managerial system, solid in achieving the goal of using an educational system, has a characteristic that maintains a sense of solidarity between members and management and has a lot of performance experience both formal and non-formal. The conclusion of this paper is that the existence of Burdah music is strongly influenced by management factors, solidarity, characteristics and performance experience.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the sacredness of Sarone music in wedding ceremonies within the Tanjung Luar village community, Keruak Subdistrict, East Lombok Regency. The research employs a qualitative ethnographic method. Data collection is carried out through literature review, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data are analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. To ensure data validity, triangulation techniques are utilized. The research findings reveal that the sacredness of Sarone music in wedding ceremonies in Tanjung Luar village encompasses elements such as origins, rituals, Sarone heirlooms, taboos, instruments, songs, and Mancak. Sarone music is considered a form of respect for ancestors, a link to cultural heritage, a means of preserving tradition's sanctity, and an integral part of the cultural identity of the Tanjung Luar village community. While the community has diverse perspectives, they all emphasize the importance of maintaining the strong tradition and cultural values associated with Sarone music. In conclusion, Sarone music possesses sacred elements like its history, heirlooms, taboos, instruments, songs, and Mancak dance, which create a sacred atmosphere and are used in the sequence of wedding events and rituals as a form of tribute to ancestors and the preservation of the cultural identity of the Tanjung Luar village community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sakralitas musik Sarone pada acara perkawinan masyarakat desa Tanjung Luar, Kecamatan Keruak, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif etnografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara studi pustaka, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, kesimpulan. Untuk memeriksa keabsahan data digunakan teknik validitas yaitu teknik Triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sakralitas musik Sarone pada acara perkawinan di desa Tanjung Luar meliputi unsur-unsur asal-usul, ritual, Sarone pusaka, pantangan, instrumen, lagu-lagu, dan Mancak. Musika Sarone dianggap sebagai penghormatan terhadap leluhur, penghubung dengan warisan budaya, menjaga kesakralan tradisi, dan menjadi identitas budaya asli masyarakat desa Tanjung Luar. Pandangan masyarakat beragam, tetapi kesemuanya mengarah pada tradisi dan nilai budaya yang kuat dalam mempertahankan musik Sarone. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah Musik Sarone memiliki unsur-unsur sakral seperti sejarah, pusaka, pantangan, instrumen, lagu, dan Mancak yang menciptakan atmosfer sakral, serta digunakan dalam rangkaian acara dan ritual perkawinan sebagai bentuk penghormatan terhadap leluhur dan menjaga identitas budaya masyarakat desa Tanjung Luar. Kata Kunci : Adat Pernikahan, Musik Tradisi, Sakralitas, Sarone
