Abstract

This research aims to describe forms and types of adjective of Sasak dialect Meno-Mene that is spoken in Lingkungan Karang Bagu, Karang Taliwang Subdistrict, Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Word reduplication in a language is included in structural study of morphology. According to Verhaar (1988:52) in his book Pengantar Linguistik, morphology is a part of linguistics that studies grammatical arrangement of parts of word. Data in this research comes from utterances spoken by Sasak speakers in Lingkungan Karang Bagu. Data collection was done by using observation and interview technique. The collected data were analyzed using intralingual identity method. Result of analysis shows that the morphological process of adjective reduplication of Sasak dialect Meno-Mene in Karang Bagu was divided into 4 based on: basic word form, reduplication form, reduplication function, and reduplication meaning.

Abstract

This article is triggered by the emergence of ethnicity aspects in Indonesian literature. The importance of ethnicity in Indonesian literature is because Indonesian literature is assumed to be plural, not singular. That is, the reality of Indonesia in Indonesian literature is not limited to one ethnicity, but various ethnicities. In the perspective of modern Indonesian literature, Indonesian novels are synonymous with Malay, Jakarta, Java and several other cities that have contributed to the development of Indonesian literature. In the perspective of ethnic Indonesian literature, Indonesian novels are identical with ethnicities whose existence is ignored in modern Indonesian literature. In this context, ethnic Indonesian literature is important to explore. This article explores the interesting representation of Lombok in Ethnic Indonesian literature. Lombok serves an ethnic that needs to be analyzed in Indonesian literature, because Lombok is assumed to be part of Java (Marrison, 1999; Meij 2011) and Lombok is hegemonyed in Java (Satrya, 2018). The problem is whether Indonesian literature still represents Lombok as shown by Marrison, Meij, and Satrya in the study of philology and literature. The Indonesian novel of Lombok delineating the issue of Java in interpreting Lombok is the novel Kenari Mentaram (2013) by Salman Faris. This article applies Stuart Hall’s representation theory and model. Based on that theory, the novel Kenari Mentaram is assumed to be a production of meaning regarding Lombok. The analytical method uses the semiotic analysis method and the Stuart Hall discourse model. Lombok is interpreted in the novel Kenari Mentaram in the context of internationalization. In this context, Lombok's art is the only commodity that can be sold. The art of Lombok represented is the art of Lombok which is capable of competing internationally by taking a model from Java. Thus, the internationalization of Lombok can only be done by taking the Javanese Model. In the  internationalization context, the discourse of Lombok art discussed is the multicultural art of Lombok. The Kenari Mentaram novel delineates as part of the discourse of the nationalization of Lombok in the context of Indonesian literature and the internationalization of Lombok in the context of tourism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the vocal technique of Tembang Jati Sware in the Bebadosan Terune Art Studio, Lenek Village, East Lombok Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Primary data is the sound of Tembang Jati Sware Pupuh Dang-Dang, while secondary data comes from informants and texts in the form of oral and written. The results showed that when reciting Tembang Jati Sware using chest breathing. Articulation changes occur when the song is read. In Tembang Jati Sware, there are ten sentence breaks, namely on each comma. The body position when the tone is high is upright, the chest is outstretched, and the shoulders are opened, while when the tone is low the body position is normal. The intonation of the song is free, the vibration occurs every last sentence more than 4 beats to 8 beats. The conclusion of this paper is the vocal technique of the Jati Sware Dang-Dang song in Pepaosan which consists of: breathing, articulation, sentence fragments, singing position, intonation, vibration, and improvisation. Abstract

Karang Taliwang is one of regions in the district of Cakranegara, Kota Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Here live three language communities. They are Sasak, Bali, and Sumbawa. Each of them use their own language to communicate with their community but do code mixing when communicate with other language communities. Their choice of language depends on some factors among other things; domain, place, situation, participant and purpose as said by Fishman,” who speak, what language, to whom, when, and to what end”.

Abstract

Penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia sebagai ragam ilmiah dalam penulisan seringkali diabaikan oleh sebagian besar siswa, sehingga karya-karya tulis yang dihasilkan sangat tidak sesuai dengan aturan tata bahasa baku. Sosialisasi di madrasah ini dilakukan untuk membiasakan siswa menggunakan ragam baku dalam penulisan tugas-tugas membuat makalah pada beberapa mata pelajaran. Selain menjelaskan tentang ragam baku, tim pelaksana sosialisasi juga melakukan pendampingan untuk melatih menulis karya. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode pendampingan berkala. Pertemuan dilakukan 4 kali selama 1 semester. Setiap pertemuan para siswa berkumpul di aula sekolah menyerahkan hasil tulisan mereka, yang kemudian dicermati, dikoreksi, dan diberi bimbingan oleh anggota tim pendamping. Setelah pendampingan selama 1 semester para siswa mulai mampu menggunakan kaidah-kaidah penulisan yang baik dan bahasa Indonesia ragam baku terutama dalam tugas-tugas pembuatan makalah di beberapa mata pelajaran.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh budaya Jawa dan Sasak dalam proses pemerolehan bahasa kedua anak-anak campuran serta mengidentifikasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi dan strategi penyelesaiannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melibatkan lima orang tua sebagai informan dari beberapa lokasi di Lombok Timur. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan pengisian Google Form. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan dialek dan kosa kata, komunikasi multibahasa, penggunaan bahasa dominan, dan kurangnya referensi bahasa daerah merupakan tantangan utama dalam pemerolehan bahasa kedua anak-anak campuran. Teori Variabilitas Bahasa, Interlanguage, dan Sosiolinguistik digunakan untuk mendukung pemahaman atas hasil penelitian. Dukungan dari pendidik, komunitas lokal, dan orang tua penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung pengembangan kemampuan berbahasa kedua. Dengan demikian, strategi pendidikan yang inklusif dan holistik perlu dirancang untuk mendukung pemerolehan bahasa kedua anak-anak campuran. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi proses pemerolehan bahasa kedua anak-anak perantau pendatang dari Jawa yang lahir di Lombok Timur, serta faktor-faktor lingkungan yang mempengaruhinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada tiga sekolah dasar di Lombok Timur. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan siswa dan orang tua, serta observasi di lingkungan sekolah. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa faktor lingkungan sosial, peran orang tua, lingkungan sekolah, dan kebijakan pemerintah memainkan peran penting dalam pemerolehan bahasa kedua. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa lingkungan sekolah memberikan dukungan signifikan dalam memfasilitasi pemerolehan bahasa kedua, sementara peran orang tua dan penerimaan masyarakat juga memiliki dampak yang besar. Implikasi dari temuan ini mencakup perlunya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat, pelatihan guru yang lebih baik, dan perluasan kurikulum untuk memperhitungkan konteks sosial dalam pembelajaran bahasa kedua. Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze and describe the variety of uses of the Manggarai language in Golo Sengang Village, West Manggarai. This research also wants to know the influence of the environment and community habits on the differences in language used in daily interactions. This research is a qualitative description. Data was collected through direct observation and interviews with local residents. Observations were carried out by being directly involved in the conversation, recording the conversation, and noting important things. The results of the research showed that there were variations in the use of words that were typical for certain individuals (idiolects) such as hau, ite, and met, as well as the use of different words. based on social status (sociolect) such as father, mother and mother. Apart from that, there are also variations in language use in agricultural and trade contexts, such as the words mawo (possibly meaning plant), woja (possibly meaning agricultural tools), and market.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengidentifikasi kemampuan berbicara efektif yang harus dimiliki oleh anggota Polri dalam penyampaian pesan kamtibmas kepada pelajar. Mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan berbicara efektif anggota Polri dalam penyampaian pesan kamtibmas kepada pelajar dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan berbicara efektif anggota Polri dalam penyampaian pesan kamtibmas kepada pelajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian bertempat di MAN 1 Lombok Timur. Teknik  pengumpulan  data. Tekhnik  pengumpulan  data  melalui  observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrument penelitian. Lembar wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data. Analisis sebelum lapangan, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan kemampuan berbicara anggota Polri dalam menyampaikan pesan Kamtibmas kepada pelajar di MAN 1 Lombok Timur meliputi kemampuan dalam menguasai diri, materi dan lingkungan. Penguasaan diri dalam mengendalikan emosi, pikiran, dan perilaku saat melakukan interaksi terutama dalam situasi sulit dan menantang mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, mampu menyampaikan pesan dengan jelas dan terstruktur. Penguasaan diri yang baik mampu beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sehingga dalam berbicara dapat menyesuaiakan gaya bicara sehingga terjadi hubungan yang efektif. Penguasaan materi dapat menjelaskan konsep dengan lebih rinci dan akurat, memiliki pengetahuan yang luas dapat menjawab pertanyaan dengan lebih baik dan meyakinkan.   Kata kunci: Anggota Polri,  Kemampuan Berbicara, Pelajar, Pesan Kamtibmas.
