Abstract

Psychological problems that arise in the form of sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, and emotional stress. Sleep is one of the basic needs that everyone needs. The need for rest and sleep must be sufficient for the body to concentrate, make decisions and participate in daily activities. The type of research is descriptive analytic research using a cross sectional approach. The population in this study is all class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 in SMA Negeri 2 Pematangsiantar as to function normally. Lack of sleep will have an impact on the decreased ability many as 71 people and as many as 42 people as samples with simple random sampling method. Data obtained by interview using a questionnaire and analyzed by chi square test. From the results of the chi square test (α < 0.05), it shows that there is a significant relationship between smartphone use and sleep quality disorders in adolescents (α = 0.00) and the test results show that there is a relationship between smartphone use and sleep quality disorders in adolescents ( =0.00). It is hoped that adolescents will increase their knowledge that excessive smartphone use can cause sleep quality disorders in adolescents

Abstract

Stress is a psychological response to various stressors that can occur in every individual, including high school students. Stress can be one of the factors that can affect a person's learning achievement. During the Covid-19 pandemic, students were directed to take part in the online learning process, which caused most students to get various kinds of stressors that caused stress to have an impact on learning achievement. Learning achievement is an indicator of student learning outcomes obtained from teaching and learning activities carried out. This study aims to determine the relationship between stress and student achievement in class XI at SMA N 1 Deli Tua. This study uses a cross-sectional research design which was conducted in January 2021 at SMA N 1 Deli Tua. The sample of this study amounted to 71 students who have different stress level criteria. Stress level data was collected using the standard DASS-42 questionnaire, and learning achievement data used a documentation technique, namely the recap of the average value of semester 2 report. The data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results of the study with the chi-square test obtained p value = 0.001 <0.05, so Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant relationship between stress and student achievement in class XI at SMA N 1 Deli Tua. The conclusion of this study shows that there is a significant relationship between stress and online learning achievement results during Covid-19 in class XI MIA students at SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua in 2021.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, many teenagers are affected by technological advances, one of the technologies that teenagers enjoy is gadgets. Gadgets have an appeal to teenagers where gadgets can be used to fill various applications. However, excessive use of gadgets in adolescents can make teenagers not care about the environment, so that it can affect the ability to empathize, express emotions appropriately, manage emotions, and all of these are aspects of emotional intelligence. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the duration of gadget use and adolescent emotional intelligence in SMA Negeri 1 Binjai, Langkat Regency. This type of research is correlational with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was 280 10th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Binjai Langkat Regency, the sample size used was 74 respondents. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. The statistical test used in this study was Chi-square with 0.05. The results of this study indicate that the duration of gadget use shows that there is a relationship between the duration of using gadgets and emotional intelligence in SMA Negeri 1 Binjai, Langkat Regency (p=0.02; p<0.05) with a prevalence ratio of 2.78. From the results of the study, parents must be more selective in giving rules for teenagers to play gadgets, namely by frequently monitoring the content seen by teenagers whether it is in accordance with their age and providing rules for the time limit for teenagers to play gadgets so that teenagers do not lose track of time in the sense that teenagers do not neglecting bedtime or bathing, schoolwork, and ignoring the people around the teenager.

Abstract

The success of HIV/AIDS treatment is strongly influenced by compliance to antiretroviral (ARV) consumption. This study aims to analyze the factors that determine the compliance of people with HIV/AIDS in consuming antiretroviral drugs (ARV) at Batu Anam Health Center. The research design used was cross-sectional. The population in the study was 179 people with a sample of 123 people. The sampling technique is using the purposive sampling method. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that the variables that influenced compliance were age (p=0.040) and peer community support (p=0.016), while the variables that did not affect compliance were gender (p=0.489), education level (p=0.314), status marriage (p=0,764), length of therapy (p=752), knowledge (p=0,272), attitude (p=0,272), health insurance (p=0,509) and access to health services (p=1,000). The results of multivariate analysis showed that the variable that most influenced compliance was peer community support with an Exp (B) of 4.00 (95%CI 1.006-15.897) meaning that PLWHA who received good support from their peer community had 4,000 times more chance of compliance to ARV treatment. greater than PLWHA who do not receive good support from the peer community. It is suggested to the STI/VCT/CST HIV service at Batu Anam Health Center in order to increase cooperation with the HIV peer community to increase PLWHA compliance in ARV consumption at Batu Anam Health Center.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe: (1) To find out how the role of parents influences efforts to increase the competence of children's learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic, (2) The obstacles experienced by parents in efforts to increase the competence of children's learning outcomes during the pandemic covid-19. This research is described as qualitative research with data collection through questionnaires and interviews. which delved deeper between researchers and informants to obtain specific data and also used other data collection techniques that were supported to obtain information, namely, the technical tools of the use of cameras and voice recorders, as well as the use of literary studies. The results of this research show that the role of "parents" in efforts to increase the competence of children's learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic is very important and there are different ways to accompany children when they study. at home. Children who study at home with their parents will feel motivated to study because the child helps their parents. Children who are with their parents feel safer, have more energy, and listen to their parents' advice so that the child can direct themselves better.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) telah membawa dampak signifikan dalam berbagai bidang, termasuk farmasi. Salah satu tantangan utama dalam pengembangan sediaan farmasi adalah proses perancangan dan optimasi formula obat yang membutuhkan waktu lama, biaya tinggi, serta risiko kegagalan yang besar. Pemanfaatan AI memungkinkan proses tersebut dilakukan dengan lebih efisien melalui analisis data yang cepat, prediksi interaksi bahan aktif, serta optimasi parameter formulasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran AI dalam mempercepat pengembangan formula obat, meningkatkan akurasi prediksi sifat farmasetik, serta mengurangi biaya penelitian dan pengembangan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur dari jurnal internasional dan nasional yang relevan dalam lima tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi AI dalam perancangan formula obat dapat mempercepat proses screening, meningkatkan efisiensi optimasi, serta memberikan hasil yang lebih akurat dibandingkan metode konvensional. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan AI berpotensi menjadi solusi strategis untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengembangan sediaan farmasi di masa depan

Abstract

Pengembangan produk berbasis bahan alam saat ini menjadi tren dalam industri kosmetik dan farmasi, terutama melalui pemanfaatan teknologi nanoemulsi yang mampu meningkatkan stabilitas, bioavailabilitas, dan efektivitas senyawa aktif tanaman obat. Rosela (Hibiscus sabdariffa) merupakan salah satu tanaman lokal dengan potensi tinggi karena kandungan antosianin, flavonoid, dan vitamin C yang bermanfaat sebagai antioksidan dan antiaging. Namun, keterbatasan pengetahuan serta teknologi yang dimiliki pelaku UMKM menyebabkan pemanfaatan rosela masih terbatas pada produk sederhana. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan pembuatan sediaan nanoemulsi berbasis ekstrak rosela sebagai inovasi produk kosmetik dan farmasi bagi UMKM di Desa Bengkurung, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan praktis pembuatan nanoemulsi, serta pendampingan dalam formulasi produk. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengolah tanaman rosela menjadi produk bernilai tambah yang lebih kompetitif. Dengan demikian, program ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi UMKM sekaligus mendukung pemanfaatan sumber daya alam lokal secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

Public speaking in The ability to speak English is crucial. for students within the globalization era. However, many students still face challenges in terms of confidence, pronunciation, and delivering ideas efficiently. Through English public speaking instruction at SMA Negeri 1 Deli Tua, this community service program seeks to boost students' self-esteem. The method used is a participatory training approach, including material presentation, practice sessions, simulations, and evaluation. The participants were students interested in improving their English-speaking skills. The findings indicate that pupils' confidence has increased., fluency, and ability to present ideas systematically. Additionally, students responded positively to the interactive and communicative training methods. Therefore, English public speaking training can be an effective strategy to improve students' communication competence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of role-play techniques in improving students' speaking skills in English instruction. Speaking is one of the most essential skills in language learning, yet many students face difficulties such as lack of confidence, limited vocabulary, and fear of making mistakes. Role-play is considered an interactive teaching method that encourages students to actively participate in real-life communication situations. This research used a quasi-experimental design involving two groups: an experimental group taught using role-play and a control group taught using conventional methods. The participants were university students enrolled in an English course. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments of speaking performance, focusing on fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. The results showed that students in the experimental group demonstrated significant improvement compared to those in the control group. Role-play activities helped students become more confident, engaged, and motivated in speaking English. Therefore, role-play is an effective strategy to enhance students' speaking skills in English instruction.
