Abstract

Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency is one of the tourist attractions anddestinations. Sukawati has Sukawati art market and Guwang market, art shops,craftsmen, wood carvers, painters, traditional and contemporary artists. They all completethe atmosphere at Sukawati. As a result, more and more people intend to build housesthere for which more and more electric energy is needed. This study was conducted toevaluate the use of electric energy at Sukawati District. The problems are formulated asfollows: how electric energy is used; how comodification takes place; how thegovernment and Perusahaan Listrik Negara, abbreviated to PLN (the Utility Company)dominates people and how the people resist the government’s hegemony, what are theeffects and meanings of the electric energy used at Sukawati District.Qualitative method supported by quantitative data, which characterize CulturalStudies, was adopted in this study. The data were taken from primary resources andsecondary resources. Qualitative method was eclectically employed for analyzing thedata supported by the theory of consumer behavior, the theory of comodification, thetheory of hegemony, the theory of knowledge and power and the theory ofdeconstruction. The results of the study were formally presented using tables, graphs andpictures and were informally narrated.The results of the study show that the increase in the number of population hasresulted in the increase in the number of traditional houses without/with slightmodification and modern houses. The rise in the number of houses has resulted in the risein electricity needed for illumination, mechanical purposes and so forth. The peopleliving at traditional houses use less and simpler electric utilities than those living atmodern houses. The electric utilities used are highly influenced by both internal andexternal factors. The advertisements of electric utilities also contribute to the use ofelectric utilities, meaning that electricity has touched what is required by the people atSukawati District. By referring to the 1945 Constitution, the PLN has dominated thedistribution of electricity. This has been used to comodify electric energy by changing itsstatus into a limited liability company, and to increase the basic rate of electricity (tarifdasar listrik, abbreviated to TDL) with its various scenarios socialized through massmedia. The government and the PLN dominate the community to accelerate their comodification practices. Such a dominance or hegemony is resisted by the traditionalpeople by strengthening their Balinese identity through the preservation of Balitraditional houses. Electricity has covered all the banjar/dusun (neighborhood under avillage) resulting in different effects such as giving up bathing in the public bathingplace, the extinction of informal communication among the people, renegotiation ofsacred values, change in orientation of the sekas (the traditional groups established forparticular purposes) from being orientated their activities to non economic motivationsinto economic ones. The different backgrounds of the people at Sukawati District havecaused the meaningfulness of the availability of electricity to vary.

Abstract

Electrical energy affect to economic, electrical energy consumption will increase and decrease likely economics. In this globalization era, electricity consumption was increased trend yearly since industrialization era. The reliability Electrical energy is very important for economic growth. The lower SAIDI and SAIFI is the bench mark for reliability of electrical energy supply. The reliable of insulator cover type: YSL-70-AP affect to the reliability electrical distribution energy on over head distribution circuit. Insulator cover protected to over head distribution circuit againt animal, bird, tree ang other temporary disturbance. Insulator cover also to protect half insulated medium voltage cable againt partial discharge and flashover. Over voltage stress more often during operation, to impact to the material insulation performance. This quantitative research founding: insulator cover type: YSL-70-AP still feasible to use after voltage breakdown stress. The fault current is still under the maximum allowable leakage current (11,600 micro ampere) which is 41.61 micro ampere, and breakdown voltage is still higher than minimum that specified (24 kilo volt), which is 49.63 kilo volt. Post breakdown voltage the material insulation performance of insulator cover type: YSL-70-AP is good, and reliable to continuous operation over head distribution circuit.

Abstract

Kehandalan merupakan kunci untuk menekan SAIDI dan SAIFI. Energi listrik dibangkitkan oleh pusat pembangkit yang jauh dari pusat beban. Energi listrik dialirkan ke pelanggan melalui jaringan. Proses penyaluran energi listrik ada kemungkinan mengalami gangguan-gangguan, seperti gangguan over voltage, over load, reverse power, dan gangguan hubung singkat. Data PT. PLN ULP Kuta tahun 2018 menunjukkan terdapat 107 gangguan akibat binatang. Arus gangguan tanah menyebabkan bekerjanya ground fault relay (GFR) dan distribusi energi listrik menjadi padam. Tekep isolator merupakan sebuah merek dagang penutup isolator gardu untuk melindungi dari gangguan binatang yang diproduksi oleh PT. Adi Putra. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya arus gangguan fasa ke tanah, setelah pemasangan tekep isolator gardu dan mengetahui kemampuan tekep isolator gardu ini untuk menanggulangi bekerjanya relai tanah. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Temuan penelitian ini antara lain : (1) Nilai arus gangguan satu fasa ke tanah setelah pemasangan tekep isolator gardu tipe YS-FCO-AP di fuse cut out pada kondisi tubuh tupai kering dan basah yaitu: 46,14206371 mikro ampere dan 46,14208458 mikro ampere. Nilai arus gangguan satu fasa ke tanah setelah pemasangan tekep isolator gardu tipe YS-BUS-ARR-AP bushing trafo dan arrester pada kondisi tubuh tupai kering dan basah yaitu: 16,83937183 mikro ampere dan 16,83937461 mikro ampere; (2) Saat terjadi gangguan satu fasa ke tanah di fuse cut out, bushing trafo dan arrester akibat tupai tidak menyebabkan jaringan distribusi padam, karena arus gangguan satu fasa ke tanah tidak melebihi setting relai tanah yaitu 30 ampere.

Abstract

Energi listrik merupakan salah satu kebutuhan masyarakat yang sangat penting. Energi listrik menjadi sangat penting karena hampir semua peralatan yang digunakan bersumber dari listrik, sehingga diharapkan dapat menyediakan listrik secara terus – menerus dengan mutu dan keandalan yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat. Kehandalan merupakan kunci untuk menekan SAIDI dan SAIFI. Proses penyaluran energi listrik ada kemungkinan mengalami gangguan – gangguan, seperti gangguan temporer yang disebabkan oleh binatang maupun alam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kehandalan sistem distribusi tenaga listrik di Penyulang Buruan PT. PLN (Persero) ULP Sanur, dengan menggunakan data gangguan pada tahun 2018 dan 2019. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Pada tahun 2018, nilai SAIDI sebesar 3,307 jam per tahun dan nilai SAIFI sebanyak 7 kali per tahun. Sedangkan jika dipasang tekep isolator tahun 2019, nilai SAIDI akan turun menjadi 0,16 jam per tahun dan nilai SAIFI sebanyak 2,9 kali per tahun. Pemasangan tekep isolator akan membantu mencapai target dari WCS PLN DISTRIBUSI BALI 2004 dengan target Nilai SAIDI sebesar 1,023 jam per tahun, namun nilai SAIFI sebanyak 1,65 kali per tahun belom mampu diacapai. Untuk itu, adapun upaya mengurangi gangguan, yaitu dengan pemasangan tekep isolator dan melakukan pemeliharaan secara berkala sehingga diharapkan kedepannya dapat menurunkan nilai SAIDI dan SAIFI di Penyulang Buruan.

Abstract

Bird pests and humans thieving  have disturbance the "Mina Yukti" fish cultivator group, in a day the fish can be eaten up to 4 herons, this is known by the presence of fish bones scattered on near of the pond. This problem affect to the food security of this group, especially in this pandemic crisis era. To overcome this problem is to install lighting installations, because the location of the pool is far from the PLN installation, solar panel  is used to supply the lighting consumption. This activity is packaged in the form of training and installation of PLTS and lighting installations. The training is carried out interactively by according to the principles of andragogy, so that the output of theoretical and practical training is to produce competent personnel and the final construction of solar panel and Lighting Installations. The solar panel installed with a capacity of 100WP, the problems of this group can be solved. In the installation of this solar panel  installation does not use an inverter, to increase the efficiency of PLTS. The training activities, construction and installation of PLTS and lighting installations were carried out by 90 people consisting of lecturers, education staff, students and members of the fish cultivator group “Mina Yukti.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic was accompanied by food security threat, due by economic disruptions. The pandemic and the winter is increasingly food security threat in Desa Lumbung, Selemadeg Barat, Tabanan, Bali. In Bali, winter usually occurs between July and November, it has an impact on the lower water temperature, which triggers the harvest failure of the fish seed, because the water temperature lower than 25 degrees celcius, but fish seed well grow up in the range of water temperature 25 to 30 degrees celcius.The Department of Electrical Engineering of the State Polytechnic of Bali has carried out community service activities in Desa Lumbung. The activities is training to construction, operation and maintenance of arduino-based of water heaters for fish seed pond and solar power plants, which have been proven to be able to maintain water temperature. Even though in the winter the water temperature is maintained between 25 to 30 degrees celcius, it maintains the harvest of fish seeds   every 45 days. The success of this harvest will support food security in Desa Lumbung.Solar power plants are chosen as an energy source, because that is a green energy. This is in line with the Bali State Polytechnic as a center of excellent  technology for green tourism. The output of this activities is proven, it must  to be massive done and the government must increases the budget for the implementation. Food security is very important to maintain the stability of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract: Technological developments also affect the progress and motivation to read the book. One technology developed in the field of electronics is an effort to increase interest in reading. With the tool Design Building Page Flipper Automatic Book Using Microcontroller ATmega328P then can make an alternative to open the book sheet. In addition, this tool is also appropriately utilized by people with special needs or have physical limitations (hand disability). With this tool can make it easier for someone to read a book because it is designed using an automated system. The automatic book page flipper tool uses an ATmega328P Microcontroller 4 servo motors where the servo motor 1 moves 100° to lower the lever on the drive wheel with a time delay of 1 second along with the operation of servo 2 which is marked by the movement of the wheel rotating 100° so that the book sheet or file is slightly attracted by the 1 second delay, then servo 3 moves which functions as a hold for the book or file sheet with a 100° movement, with a time delay of 1 second and servo 4 moves 180° as the thrower of the book sheet or file. And the sound sensor functions to give commands to the ATmega328P microcontroller which will later give orders to the ATmega 328P microcontroller which will later drive all the servo motors when getting commands.   Keywords: Microcontroller, sensor, servo motor

Abstract

Keandalan sistem distribusi energi listrik sangat ditentukan oleh keberfungsian sistem proteksi, terutama dalam konteks penyaluran energi ke Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Permasalahan terjadi ketika pemilihan kapasitas proteksi tidak sesuai dengan karakteristik teknis sistem, yang menyebabkan inverter dan baterai bekerja tidak optimal, sehingga menurunkan keandalan distribusi energi secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendalam kesesuaian spesifikasi fuse sebagai perangkat proteksi terhadap performa sistem distribusi energi listrik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain studi kasus terapan. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas sistem proteksi fuse yang terpasang dalam jaringan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi teknis langsung, dokumentasi spesifikasi teknis fuse, inverter, dan baterai, serta pengukuran arus dan tegangan sistem distribusi. Instrumen penelitian mengacu pada indikator validitas teknis proteksi sistem tenaga listrik. Analisis data dilakukan secara matematis melalui perhitungan arus beban, arus hubung singkat, serta analisis efisiensi sistem distribusi terhadap karakteristik fuse yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fuse tipe SQB 3 1000A mampu memberikan perlindungan terhadap inverter dan baterai dari arus lebih maupun arus hubung singkat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa ketepatan pemilihan spesifikasi fuse sangat mempengaruhi keandalan dan efisiensi sistem distribusi energi pada sistem PLTS  hybrid berbasis BESS. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi perancang sistem tenaga berbasis energi terbarukan.
