Reaveling the marginalize of Islamic education, the developing proces of Islam education organization must be upheld. In this case the science of management is needed. Managing educational institutions of Islam means the process of institutional restructuring of Islamic education involving the human resources and non-human to raise a purpose of islam education efectively and efisienly. Talking about human resource management, the leadership becomes important factor to be used as a reference in institutional development. Transformative leadership can be an alternative method to lead an Islam education institution. Therefore, here where the function of the dimensions of the role of the concept is expected to provide a major influence in the leadership in Islamic Education Institution.

Abstrak Pertumbuhan lembaga pendidikan Islam di Indonesia dengan berbagai macam jenisnya semakin banyak dan menyebar sampai ke pelosok-pelosok desa. Hal ini mengharuskan adanya sebuah pengelolaan yang baik agar lembaga-lembaga tersebut terus bertahan dalam persaingan global saat ini. Lembaga yang mampu merespon dengan cepat perubahan tersebut maka akan bertahan dan bahkan semakin maju. Begitu juga sebaliknya, lembaga yang tidak bisa merespon perubahan dengan baik maka lambat laun akan gulung tikar. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat memajukan lembaga pendidikan Islam baik dari strategi, bentuk komunikasi serta evaluasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa strategi yang dilakukan kepala Madrasah Diniyah untuk memajukan lembaga adalah jalan sehat, program 40 jam ngaji kitab kuning serta pengajian aswaja setiap malam rabu untuk guru. Bentuk komunikasi yang dilakukan adalah yang dilakukan oleh kepala Madrasah Diniyah, adalah komunikasi vertikal, horizontal (antar pribadi) dan komunikasi publik. Kata kunci: Manajemen Inovatif, Kepala Madrasah, Lembaga Pendidikan Islam.

ABSTRACT Today education in Indonesia is constantly undergoing changes both in terms of contents, process, and infrastructure. The change was marked by the insurance of government regulation or the decision of the minister of national education and culture. The rquires the management of institution of Islamic education that is better so, that such changes have a positive impact. One of the steps undertakes is to strengthen the heart of Islamic education is the educators, library, and laboratory. If the third heart of Islamic education is managed well, then Islamic education will be more advanced and able to give positive contribution in the live of society. This article used library research as a method which collect the data that has related with the theme. This article has purpose for institute of Islamic education to strengthening the Islamic education and be able to applying the strategies that could make students explore their knowledge. KEYWORDS: strategy, Islamic education ABSTRAK Pendidikan Indonesia saat ini terus mengalami perubahan baik dari segi isi, proses, hingga sarana prasarana. Perubahan tersebut ditandai dengan dikeluarkannya berbagai macam peraturan pemerintah atau keputusan-keputusan menteri pendidikan dan kebudayaan nasional. Hal ini mengharuskan pengelolaan lembaga pendidikan Islam yang lebih baik sehingga perubahan tersebut berdampak positif. Salah satu langkah yang dilakukan adalah dengan memperkokoh jantung pendidikan Islam. Jantung pendidikan Islam tersebut adalah pendidik, perpustakaan dan laboratorium. Jika ketiga jantung pendidikan Islam ini mampu dikelola dengan baik, maka pendidikan Islam akan semakin maju dan mampu memberikan kontribusi positif dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah kajian pustaka yakni mengumpulkan bacaan yang berkaitan dengan tema. Dengan artikel ini, para pengelola lembaga pendidikan Islam diharapkan mampu memperkokoh jantung pendidikan Islam dengan menerapkan strategi-strategi yang sesuai agar peserta didik mampu mengeksplorasi ilmu pengetahuan yang dimiliki. The study aims to examine more deeply the leadership of the head of the institution in education to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic situation. Educational institution leadership plays an important role in creating an enabling environment for teachers, students and their families to continue to connect and learn during the COVID pandemic, both at school and at home. This research is a qualitative one using a phenomenological approach. Phenomenology is a qualitative research approach that focuses on the similarity of life experiences in certain groups. The results of the study show that the learning model developed by the institution's leadership is an effort to carry out learning that leads to adapting conditions and carrying out education according to needs. The existence of a pandemic is not an easy type of problem and must be handled properly and requires relevant data. The mobilization of resources carried out by institutional leaders in education has proven to be very important to ensure quality education for all people during the Covid-19 recovery period and beyond.

Inadequate understanding and different perspectives of Islamic higher education (PTKIN) in Indonesia particularly the graduate schools towards Multidisciplinary, Interdisciplinary, and Transdisciplinary (MIT) approaches result in ineffective implementation of Indonesian National Qualification Framework/Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI) curriculum. Yet, MIT approach is highly needed to accelerate state development. MIT study has integrated character which opens to new developments of science and methodology and will possibly create new knowledge hybrids. This research investigated MIT learning strategy and approach at graduate schools of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The policy of MIT learning aims to enable the learning process at graduate schools to produce new comprehensive discoveries on science and humanities. Based on a qualitative research method, this showed that the graduate schools had different MIT approach and strategy in learning and this was greatly influenced by lecturer’s and decision maker’s paradigms. MIT approach was chosen respond to the nature of science, realize very complex issues, synergize various disciplines of sciences, motivate multi-sector expert collaboration, and produce new products. In short, MIT practices mean collaboration and synergy among involving people either experts with non-experts or academic with non-academic staff.

This study explores new media for the admission system at Darul Falah Islamic Boarding School, Tulungagung. Innovations in registering new students need to be carried out to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Islamic boarding schools require a registration form that can be accessed online to accept new students. This study uses a qualitative method. The data was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The waterfall analysis model is used for analyzing the admission system. The interactive analysis model is used for the data analysis technique. The validity of the data is done by triangulation of techniques and sources. The study results: The service for accepting new students during the covid 19 pandemic was carried out online using the google form media. The use of the media is effortless, so it is easy to apply. However, parents of prospective students need a long time to use the online form. This research implies that the free online form provided by Google can be a practical and easy solution for Islamic boarding schools that have limited resources in accepting new students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta yang terjadi kiai harus mempunyai strategi untuk pembentukan karakter santri. Strategi dalam pembentukan karakter merupakan salah satu metode pendidikan nilai yang komprehensif. Pembelajaran dalam pembentukan karakter santri sudah mulai mengenai dimana santri sudah mempunyai rasa kepedulian terhadap sesama santri yang terwujud dengan saling membantu, mempunyai sifat jujur jika memang melanggar mengakui saja dan siap mendapatkan hukuman. Metode pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah observasi partisipan, wawancara atau interview mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah menganalisis data dilakukan dalam dua tahap, yaitu: (1) analisis data kasus individu, dan (2) analisis data lintas situs. Hasil penelitiannya adalah: Strategi pembelajaran kyai dalam membentuk karakter jujur santri di Pondok Pesantren Panggung Tulungagung dan Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin Ngunut Tulungagung dilakukan dengan jalan: a) kyai memberikan kesadaran etika dengan mengajarkannya sebagaimana yang dalam kitab menuntun para santri untuk berkata benar, pengetahuan tentang etika berkata benar bahkan diajarkan mengendalikan diri. b) kyai mengajarkan pada santri untuk jujur dalam perkataan. c) Kyai memberikan pengarahan untuk membiasakan diri untuk berhenti berbohong.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of strategic management based on ISO 21001-2018 in realizing superior Islamic boarding school-based university governance. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The results show that strategic management based on ISO 21001-2018 is carried out through quality planning, control, and quality improvement. In quality planning, the quality control work unit and stakeholders formulate and prepare higher education governance plans according to ISO 21001: 2018 standards. In the quality control process, universities establish requirements and recommendations for design and quality assessment. Meanwhile, universities carry out continuous quality improvement by evaluating improvements that focus on Lean and Six Sigma techniques at the quality improvement stage. This research has implications for the importance of quality orientation carried out by higher education institutions in order to create public trust and customer loyalty.
