Abstract

Background: Problems that often arise due to hospitalization in children include feelings of anxiety and stress, separation from their parents during treatment at the hospital. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of super bubbles play therapy on anxiety due to hospitalization in children in the Galuh Room at Gambiran Hospital, Kediri. Methods: The design of this study was pre-experimental with one group pre-post test design. Respondents were taken by purposive sampling technique. The population studied were all children who were treated in the Galuh Room at Gambiran Hospital, Kediri City with a sample of 30 people. The independent variable studied was super bubbles play therapy and the dependent variable was anxiety due to hospitalization in children. The results were analyzed using the Wilcoxon statistical test. Results: The results showed that before being given therapy playing super bubbles most respondents with anxiety due to hospitalization in the heavy category as many as 20 (67%) respondents. After being given super bubbles play therapy almost all respondents in the mild category as many as 23 (77%) respondents. The results of data analysis show that the level of significance 0.000 ? 0.05 so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Conclusion: Therefore, there is an effect of super bubbles play therapy on anxiety due to hospitalization in children in the Galuh Room, Gambiran Hospital, Kediri. Based on the results of the study it was concluded thatsuper bubbles bermain play therapy have an influence on anxiety due to hospitalization in children.

Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of preventable maternal and fetal deaths in Indonesia if detected early. Lack of understanding about the symptoms, risk factors, and early treatment of preeclampsia remains a challenge at the community level, especially in areas with limited access to information and health services. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in the effectiveness of video and booklet education on cadres' understanding of early detection, prevention, and management of preeclampsia in pregnant women. Methods: The research design was quasi-experimental, in which the researcher divided the respondents into two groups, namely video intervention and booklet intervention. The research sample consisted of 58 health cadres in Manisrenggo Village, using total sampling technique. The measurement tool used was a questionnaire on understanding early detection, prevention, and management of preeclampsia in pregnant women, which had been tested for validity and reliability. The research media used were videos and booklets. The research analysis was univariate, paired t-test, and independent t-test using SPSS 23. Results: The results showed that the mean score for cadres' understanding before the booklet intervention was 40.17, which increased to 43.41 after the booklet intervention. The p-value was 0.000, indicating that the booklet intervention had an effect on cadres' understanding of early detection, prevention, and management of preeclampsia in pregnant women among health cadres before and after the intervention. Conclusion: There is a difference in the effectiveness of video and booklet education on early detection, prevention, and management of preeclampsia in pregnant women among health cadres. Based on the mean value, video intervention is more effective than booklet intervention.

Abstract

Introduction: Pregnant women for antenatal care are very important because they can reduce the number of pregnancy complications. However, the prevalence of pregnant women to undertake Antenatal Care is very low. Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the Antenatal Care (ANC) approval for consideration complications in the Tiudan Health Center, Gondang District, Tulungagung District. Design: The design of this study was observational with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all pregnant women in Tiudan Health Center, Gondang District, Tulungagung Regency, with 45 respondents. Samples were taken by purposive sampling taken 30 respondents. The data collected was processed using the chi square statistical test with significance α = 0.05. Results: The results showed that of the 30 respondents, the majority of respondents had compliant ANC contributions, namely 19 respondents (63.3%) and the majority of respondents did not experience difficulties during pregnancy, namely 22 respondents (73.3%).The results of this study were the Antenatal Care (ANC) meeting on the incidence of complications assessment in the Tiudan Health Center, Gondang District, Tulungagung District (p-value = 0.002) with the chi square test. Conclusion: Compliance of pregnant women to perform antenatal care is very important because it can help reduce pregnancy complications that can increase maternal and infant mortality
