Abstract

Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD) is the process of allowing a baby to breastfeed itself after birth. The baby is placed on the breast of the mother and the baby himself with all his efforts to find nipples to breastfeed immediately (Yuliarti, 2010). The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the success of IMD implementation in terms of the level of knowledge and family support in the hospital. Prasetya Husada Karangploso Malang. The research design used analytic observational method with cross sectional approach. The number of respondents was 55 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The results of data analysis from statistics show that 44 respondents (80%) have good knowledge of IMD, who provide good support as many as 45 respondent families (81.8%) and the number of IMD is 50 respondents (90.9%). The results of the chis-quare analysis between the knowledge variable and the IMD success variable obtained the p-valute value = 0.002. This means that there is a significant relationship between knowledge about IMD and the successful implementation of IMD. The results of the chisquare analysis between the variable family support and the IMD success variable, the p-valute value = 0.001. This means that there is a significant relationship between family support and the successful implementation of IMD. The relationship between knowledge, family support and the success of IMD can be influenced by the age status where the majority of the majority are early adulthood and can also be influenced by the level of education at which the education level of the respondents is SMA / SMK and also influenced by the parity of the respondents where most of the respondents have multiple parity

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a common thing that occurs in patients who will undergo surgery. The anxiety that occurs in preoperative patients can be felt from the time they are scheduled for surgery until the time of surgery arrives. Anxiety management can be done using pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. Purpose: The aim of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of finger grip relaxation techniques and progressive muscle relaxation on anxiety in pre-caesarean section surgery patients in the Kediri Regency Regional General Hospital. Method: This study used a Quasy-experiment With Pretest Posttest to determine the effect of finger grip and progressive muscle relaxation techniques. The sample selection in this study used a purposive sampling technique and a total of 56 patients were obtained who were divided into 2 groups, namely the finger grip intervention group and the progressive muscle intervention group. The pretest and posttest data for each group were then analyzed using the Wilcoxon Test to determine the effect and the Mann-Whitney Test to compare the posttest results of the 2 groups. Results: The results of the study showed that the Wilcoxon test in both intervention groups obtained a p-value < α (0.05), which means that before and after the intervention, both progressive muscle relaxation and finger grip relaxation had an influence on the anxiety level of pre-caesarean section patients. For the results of the Mann-Whitney test, the p-value was 0.063 or p-value > α (0.05), which means there was no significant difference between changes in anxiety whether those given progressive muscle relaxation intervention or finger grip relaxation. Conclusion: Finger grip relaxation techniques and progressive muscle relaxation techniques are both effective in reducing anxiety levels in pre-caesarean section surgery patients. So this non- pharmacological therapy can be an option for patients in dealing with anxiety problems before  caesarean section surgery.

Abstract

Hyperbilirubinemia in premature babies has a higher incidence. Gestational age is the period of time since the fertilization of the egg until the birth of the baby. LBW is a condition where a newborn baby weighs less than 2,500 grams. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between gestational age and LBW with the incidence of hyperbilirubinemia in newborns. This study used a descriptive correlation survey research design with a Cross Sectional approach. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 40. The results of the study: most of the gestational ages were aterm with no hyperbilirubinemia 18 respondents (69.2%), almost all of them were LBW with hyperbilirubinemia 17 respondents (77.3%), The results of the chi-square test showed gestational age with the incidence of Hyperbilirubin p-value (0.011), LBW with the incidence of hyperbilirubin p-value (0.000) which means there is a relationship between gestational age and LBW with the incidence of hyperbilirubinemia in newborns at the Anggaberi Health Center. It is expected that pregnant women routinely check their pregnancy with a midwife or hospital. Keywords: Gestational Age, Low Birth Weight, Hyperbilirubinemia

Abstract

Dymenorrhea is lower abdominal pain that occurs before menstruation or during menstruation. Dysmenorrhea can make women unable to carry out daily activities such as studying, working and other daily activities and requires them to sleep. The aim of this research was to determine the analysis of effleurage massage therapy and Mozart classical music on primary dysmenorrhea in young women at the Trenggalek Islamic boarding school. The design of this research is quantitative with a pre-experimental design approach pretest-posttest one group. The independent variables of this research are effleurage massage therapy and Mozart classical music therapy, while the dependent variable is Primary Dysmenorrhea. The instrument used was the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) for 35 respondents taken using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the pain level of respondents before being given therapy were that the majority experienced primary dysmenorrhea in the moderate pain category, namely on a scale of 4-6, 19 respondents (54%). After being given therapy, the majority of respondents experienced primary dysmenorrhea in the mild pain category on a scale of 1-3, 27 respondents (77%). The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test with a value of α = 0.05, it was found significantly 0,000, because the significance value was <0.05 which meant there was an effect of giving effleurage massage therapy and classical music Mozart on the decline in primary dysmenorrhea in the women's teenager in Islamic boarding schools by Trenggalek. Effleurage massage therapy can warm muscles and improve blood circulation, while Mozart classical music therapy can stimulate endorphin hormones which, if both therapies are carried out, can reduce pain.
