Abstract

Philosophy of science is the founfation of implementation for guidance and counseling services, leading the councelor to the concept about substances and human roles in counseling process. Philosophy of science as the Mother of Science becomes a frame work for councelor in providing assistence process to individual. The important role of philosophy of science as an insight which used by the councelor in his insight  for doing  therapheutics, using critical thinking skill to know about the human condition. Viewing the very diverse of Indonesian society such as ethnicities, religions, values, and perspectives. The condition of diversity becomes a challenge for current guidance and counseling and future expectations in multicultural counseling. The competence of councelor in muliticultural counseling can not be separated in the study of philosophy of guidance and counseling, because that is the foundation for the implementation of multicultural guidance and counseling services in Indonesia

Abstract

Pertemuan bimbingan akademik antara mahasiswa dan dosen penasehat akademik dilaksanakan hanya 1 kali pertemuan setiap awal semester untuk keperluan pengisian KRS, setelah itu tidak terjadi lagi komunikasi antara dosen penasehat akademik dan mahasiswa, Bahkan ada mahasiswa yang belum pernah bertemu dengan dosen penasehat akademiknya. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan adanya disharmonisasi hubungan antara mahasiswa dan dosen penasehat akademik.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran keharmonisan hubungan antara mahasiswa dan dosen penasehat akademik di Jurusan KI-BKI, sedangkan jenis dan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumenter.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan bimbingan akademik yang berlangsung seperti rutinitas semesteran. Mahasiswa menemui dosen penasehat akademik ketika minta tanda tangan KRS, selebihnya tidak ada lagi. fenomena tersebut menunjukkan adanya ketimpangan antara fenomena dengan konsep ideal  sebagai dosen penasehat akademik. Kata Kunci : Keharmonisan, Mahasiswa, Dosen Penasehat Akademik

Abstract

Permasalahan akan muncul ketika siswa sebagai remaja tidak mampu untuk bekerjasama dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa betapa pentingnya seseorang untuk memiliki kompetensi interpersonal agar mampu “survive” dalam kehidupan di sekolah, masyarakat dan dunia kerja. Disinilah peranan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik assertive training dapat dipergunakan untuk membantu siswa meningkatkan kompetensi interpersonal. Penelitian bertujuan menguji secara empirik efektivitas bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik assertive training untuk meningkatkan kompetensi interpersonal siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian pra eksperimental design-one group pretest-post tes dengan subjek penelitian 10 orang siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Kandangan yang dipilih secara purposive sampling berdasarkan hasil dari skala kompetensi interpersonal siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi interpersonal siswa berada pada kategori sedang. Sementara hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) / asymptotic significance untuk uji dua sisi adalah 0,000, ini berarti bahwa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik assertive training efektif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi interpersonal siswa. Disarankan: bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik assertive training diharapkan dapat digunakan oleh guru bimbingan dan konseling sebagai salah satu alternatif layanan dalam membantu siswa untuk meningkatkan kompetensi interpersonal serta diharapkan dapat  dipergunakan sebagai sumber rujukan mengenai teknik yang dapat dipergunakan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi interpersonal siswa. Kata kunci: kompetensi interpersonal, bimbingan kelompok, teknik assertive training

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to test the validity of the California Brief Multicultural Competency Scale (CBMCS) on teacher guidance and counseling in Indonesia. CBMCS is a self-report instrument that measures multicultural competence, including: cultural knowledge, cultural awareness and non-ethnic knowledge. Validation was carried out with a sample of 316 guidance and counseling teachers spread throughout Indonesia. The results showed that CBMCS had a reliability index with Cronbach's Alpha of 0.896 and validity with factor analysis showed KMO and Bartlett's Test 0.883 with a significance of 0.000 and an anti-image correlation value 0.5. Formed 3 factors that can explain 59.435% of the variability. The factor loading of each item is greater than 0.5. The results of this study indicate that CBMCS can be used as a valid and reliable instrument for measuring multicultural competence in Indonesian teacher guidance and counseling. Keywords: factor analysis, CBMCS, cronbach's alpha, multicultural competence, guidance and counseling AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan uji validitas terhadap California Brief Multicultural Competency Scale (CBMCS) pada guru bimbingan dan konseling di Indonesia. CBMCS adalah instrumen laporan diri yang mengukur kompetensi multikultural, meliputi: pengetahuan budaya, kesadaran budaya dan pengetahuan non-etnis. Validasi dilakukan dengan jumlah sampel 316 orang guru bimbingan dan konseling yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CBMCS memiliki indeks reliabilitas dengan Cronbach's Alpha adalah 0,896 dan validitas dengan analisis faktor menunjukan KMO and Bartlett's Test 0,883 dengan signifikansi 0,000 dan nilai anti image korelasi 0,5. Terbentuk 3 faktor yang dapat menjelaskan 59,435% dari variabilitas. Muatan faktor (factor loading) dari setiap item lebih besar dari 0,5. Abstract

Effective peer counseling needs to have good cultural competence to ensure effective communication with the counselee. Cultural competence is increasingly important in higher education institutions as campuses are places where students from diverse backgrounds gather. Unfortunately, research exploring the perspectives of peer counselors in Islamic universities still needs further exploration. This study aims to bridge this gap by exploring the perspectives of prospective peer counselors regarding their multicultural understanding. Using a cross-sectional survey design, this research explores the perspectives of thirty-four prospective peer counselors in an Islamic university in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. The instrument used is a cultural awareness questionnaire developed based on multicultural awareness theory and cognitive stage development theory. The results indicate that the level of multicultural awareness among Islamic university students still needs improvement, as participants expressed agreement with 82% of items related to duality, indicating that they have a limited view of other cultures and their perspectives on other cultures are still influenced by the perspectives of others. This study then offers several implications to enhance their multicultural awareness to prepare them to become competent peer counselors.

Abstract

This study aims to affirm students' self-identity through the implementation of biblio-counseling charged with local wisdom in the context of Islamic education. Self-identity reflects who the student is with the regional cultural identity that belongs to the root of the national identity. The identity crisis experienced by students during the development of the current era of society is a challenge for the world of education. The shift in local values in today's life, if not given treatment, will provide an opportunity for students to lose their identity. One alternative solution is by instilling the values of local wisdom as a native force of the region to form student identity. This research method uses a qualitative approach of the hermeneutic type. The purpose of composed hermeneutics is to search for the meaning behind meaning, carrying out a deep interpretation of the process of intersubjectivity. Several high school students in East Pontianak became the setting for biblio-counseling research which was positioned as an affirmation of their identity. Biblio-counseling contains the values of local wisdom of Malay ethnicity and stories that bring students to the situation and conditions that are being read. Students reflect and plan for productive new behavior changes. Students can have broad or global thinking but still, behave and have manners that are under eastern culture.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengenali struktur dan isi artikel ilmiah yang baik. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, program pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop yang didominasi oleh praktik. Praktik dilakukan melalui pemberian teks mentor sehingga mahasiswa bisa menganalisis secara langsung contoh karya yang telah terbit serta mengenali elemen-elemen yang diperlukan dalam menulis artikel yang terbit di jurnal terakreditasi Sinta 2 dan Sinta 3. Workshop ini diikuti oleh 35 mahasiswa berbagai jurusan di Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan Universitas Islam Negeri Antasari dan berlangsung selama satu hari penuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan angket. Observasi bertujuan untuk melihat detail proses pelatihan serta kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengenali struktur dan isi artikel, yang ditampilkan pada presentasi dan hasil unjuk kerja. Selanjutnya, angket bertujuan untuk melihat persepsi terkait kebermanfaatan kegiatan terhadap kemampuan menulis mahasiswa. Analisis atas hasil observasi dilakukan secara kualitatif dan hasil angket secara kuantitatif. Hasil observasi selama proses workshop menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teks mentor dapat memandu mahasiswa untuk mengenali struktur dari artikel ilmiah dan konten dari struktur tersebut. Hasil dari angket evaluasi  menunjukkan bahwa 90,5% peserta pelatihan mendapatkan manfaat dan 100% dari mereka antusias untuk mengikuti kegiatan serupa pada masa depan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan interpersonal guru Bimbingan Konseling (BK) terhadap motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI di MAN Kapuas dan sampel berjumlah 55 orang. Metode pengumpulan data dengan Kuesioner hubungan interpersonal guru BK dan Kuesioner motivasi siswa mengikuti layanan BK. Teknik analisis data dengan uji regresi linear dan uji persyaratannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan interpersonal guru BK dengan kategoru baik. Pengukuran dengan motivasi juga menunjukkan motivasi siswa mengikuti layanan dengan kategori baik.

Abstract

Peer counseling can serve as a promising approach to tackle the challenges faced by college students during the critical transition from late adolescence to young adulthood. This form of counseling offers a safe space for them to openly share and discuss their issues. However, research focusing on readily applicable peer counseling materials tailored for the college context remains limited. This study endeavors to bridge this gap. Adopting a research and development design, this article aims to develop a peer counseling module grounded in experiential learning, specifically designed for two faculties in university. The potential users of the module include two counselors and twelve counselees from each respective faculty. The development process follows the Borg & Gall framework, incorporating data collection methods such as focused group discussions, expert validation checklists, and observations. The research findings indicate that the module has been well-received by three experts, who found it to be suitable and relevant, offering constructive feedback for further improvement. During the field test, the developed module proved to be instrumental in assisting counselors in comprehending the implementation stages of peer counseling grounded in experiential learning. Theoretical and practical implications of this research are discussed in-depth, shedding light on the potential impact and relevance of integrating experiential learning into peer counseling practices in higher education.
