Abstract

Arabic matriculation is an additional course program provided by the Arabic Education Department to new students to equalize their basic Arabic language skills. This program is better known among students as the Afternoon Course, where the Student Association plays a role in succeeding it. Therefore, this research aims to embrace the role of the Student Association in Arabic matriculation programs for new students. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach where data collection techniques are interviews, observations, and documentation. Data begins to be analyzed during data collection based on the data analysis process by Miles and Huberman, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and data collection. The results showed 1) In the implementation of afternoon course matriculation, the department and the student associations established beneficial cooperation and good relations between the two parties. 2) The role of the student association in the program includes recruitment of tutors, pretesting, scheduling, implementation of learning, and evaluation. 3) The motivation of students to become tutors is to seek experience and as a forum for teaching exercises. The benefit they get when they become a tutor is that it helps improve their teaching skills. Further research is needed on the effectiveness of the matriculation program on participants' Arabic language skills and the effect of the program on the teaching ability of tutors.

Abstract

Print media has been considered as one of the effective learning media from ancient times even to modern times like now, the use of print media in learning is still quite effective. Therefore this study aims to describe how the development and application of print media in learning Arabic is used as a reference material for educators in developing print-based media in learning Arabic. This research uses a qualitative approach, with the type of research being a literature study. Then, in the process of data collection and analysis techniques, documentation techniques were carried out by collecting and reviewing various journals and articles related to the themes discussed. The results showed that the development of print media such as books, modules, picture cards, posters and bulletins in learning Arabic is still very capable of having a positive impact on students in learning and teaching activities even in an era full of modern technology. Abstract

The Mukhayyam Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah program has successfully had a positive impact on students' introduction to the Arabic language, being implemented annually without significant issues. This study aims to analyze the planning and execution of the program, as well as the factors contributing to its success. A qualitative research approach was employed, with data collected through interviews with 10 informants, observations of three Mukhayyam sessions, and documentation of program records. The findings indicate that Mukhayyam Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah is designed with a curriculum tailored for beginners, strict Arabic language usage regulations, and supported by maximal mentorship guidance. The program is conducted in a controlled environment, integrating daily activities to foster a sustainable linguistic environment. The success of the program stems from the integration of educational and social activities, which promote a sense of camaraderie and familial spirit among participants. Through teamwork and shared experiences, the program enhances both academic and personal development, while ensuring sustainability and continued student engagement. Kegiatan Mukhayyam Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah berhasil memberikan dampak positif bagi mahasiswa dalam pengenalan bahasa Arab, yang dilaksanakan setiap tahun dengan sukses tanpa masalah berarti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesuksesannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara terhadap 10 narasumber, observasi pada tiga kali pelaksanaan Mukhayyam, dan dokumentasi berkas-berkas kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Mukhayyam Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah dirancang dengan kurikulum yang ramah bagi pemula, peraturan wajib berbahasa Arab yang ketat, dan didukung oleh pembimbingan mentor maksimal. Program ini dilaksanakan dalam lingkungan yang terkontrol dan mengintegrasikan aktivitas sehari-hari untuk menciptakan bi'ah lughawiyah yang berkelanjutan. Kesuksesan program ini berasal dari integrasi kegiatan edukasi dan sosial, yang mendorong terciptanya rasa kebersamaan dan semangat kekeluargaan di antara peserta. Melalui kerjasama tim dan pengalaman bersama, program ini meningkatkan perkembangan akademik dan pribadi peserta, sambil memastikan keberlanjutan dan keterlibatan mahasiswa.

Abstract

This paper will discuss implementing the drill/practice method for learning Arabic with a communicative approach. This study uses a descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this research were all 7G class students at MTs Negeri Kota Batu. The data collected is in the form of the latest learning information data, the number of students, and data on the implementation of learning methods. Data collection using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out according to the theory of Miles and Huberman, with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The result indicates that the drill method with a communicative approach is implemented through three steps. Firstly, the planning stage involves preparing a learning program plan. Secondly, the implementation stage applies the drill method based on the characteristics of the communicative approach. Lastly, the evaluation phase employs formative evaluation techniques. The study identifies four supporting factors for the method's application: student participation, cognitive abilities, clarity of instruction, and availability of learning facilities. This study provides valuable insights and knowledge to improve Arabic language teaching for teachers and researchers to develop additional learning on more functional skills.

Abstract

In 2019 the Ministry of Religion issued KMA 183 concerning Islamic Education and Arabic Curriculum in madrasas. The aim of developing the curriculum is to answer existing challenges, namely internal and external challenges, internal challenges, namely making Arabic language learning functional and communicative, and external challenges, namely making students able to use Arabic as a means of communication on an international scale.   This research aims to analyze whether the Arabic language curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah has answered existing internal and external challenges. The method used by researchers is qualitative, with the type of library research. Data sources were taken from documents related to KMA 183 Arabic language subjects, both from KMA 183 Decisions and scientific articles. The data collection technique uses documentation techniques, then the data analysis is carried out in 3 stages, namely the stages of data collection, data categorization, data analysis, and data presentation. Based on the results of the analysis, curriculum development, and objectives as well as competencies, materials, and themes in the Arabic language curriculum at Madrasah Aliyyah are appropriate and can answer existing challenges.
