Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi struktur konsep mahasiswa calon guru tentang medan elektrostatik. Data diperolehdengan menggunakan metode thinks-aloud, didukung metode lain yaitu wawancara, diskusi, dan tes tertulis Responden penelitianterdiri atas delapan mahasiswa semester 2 yang telah menempuh fisika dasar sebagai kelompok I, dan sembilan mahasiswasemester 6 yang telah menempuh mata kuliah kelistrikan dan kemagnetan sebagai kelompok II. Mahasiswa tersebut diberipertanyaan real-worlds yang menyangkut konsep dasar medan dan memerlukan jawaban secara spontan. Hasil studi inimenunjukan bahwa (1) struktur konsep mahasiswa mengenai medan elektrostatik pada umumnya mengalami fragmentasi; (2)mahasiswa mengalami kerancuan dalam memahami konsep medan elektrostatik; (3) Pada umumnya, mahasiswa masihberlandaskan konsep gaya dalam memahami tentang medan. The purpose of this research is to explore the concept structure of electrostatics field of teacher candidate student. In thisexperiment, we used thinks-aloud method and varied by others (interview, discussion and written-test). Respondent consisted ofeight students of second semester passing Basic Physics subject as the first group and nine students of sixth semester passingelectricity and magnetism subject as the second group. On these students the real world questions related to concept of field andneeded spontaneous answer are asked. The study result shows that (1) in general the concept structure of electrostatics field ofstudents undergoes fragmenting process; (2) the students experience contamination in understanding the electrostatics fieldconcept, and (3) in general the students are still based on the force concept in understanding the field.Keywords: framing analysis, teacher candidate student, concept structure

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengungkap keberadaan konsepsi paralel pada mahasiswa pendidikan fisika tentang dinamika gaya. Masalah yangdikemukakan adalah: bagaimanakah karakteristik konsepsi paralel yang terjadi pada mahasiswa pendidikan fisika dalam materidinamika? Sejumlah 150 mahasiswa pendidikan fisika disodori dua macam soal tentang konsep/konteks dinamika dan tentanggaya pada gerak jatuh bebas. Analisis jawaban tes tertulis mengindikasikan adanya kosepsi paralel pada mahasiswa, sehinggadilakukan wawancara lebih lanjut terhadap 48 mahasiswa. yang mempunyai informasi data konsepsi paralel paling banyak(opportunistic sampling). Berdasarkan hasil analisis kualitatif terhadap jawaban siswa saat tes tertulis maupun tes wawancaradisimpulkan (1) ada konsepsi paralel yang terjadi pada mahasiswa dengan berbagai tingkat semester dengan kualitas berpikiryang semakin baik pada semester lebih tinggi, namun ada juga konsepsi paralel yang terjadi pada semua tingkat semester denganciri yang sama, (2) beberapa latar belakang penyebab konsepsi paralel ialah faktor intuisi, fragmentasi, pembelajaran, apresiasikonseptual dan faktor kerangka teori spesifik. This research reveals the existence of physics students parallel concept about dynamics force. The problem is what are thecharacteristics of parallel concept of the students in learning the topic of dynamics. There are 150 students who were assigned twokinds of concepts. They were dynamics concept and force in free falling body concept. The students answers indicate studentsparallel concept happens to the students, so that interview sessions to 48 students having more information about parallel conceptwere done (opportunistic sampling). Based on to the results of the qualitative analysis in both treatments, there are two conclusions.They are: (1) there is a parallel concept of students from various semester levels with a better thinking quality of a higher semesterlevel, but there is also a parallel concept of students from all semester levels with the same characteristics; (2) there are somebackgrounds which cause the parallel concept, such as the factors of intuition, fragmentation, learning process, conceptualappreciation, and specific theory domain.Keywords: dynamics force; parallel concept; physics students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh model multimedia interaktif berbasis gaya belajar dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep pendahuluan fisika zat padat mahasiswa calon guru. Metode eksperimen dengan desain control group pretest-posttest design dilaksanakan terhadap 37 mahasiswa kelas eks-perimen dan 36 mahasiswa kelas kontrol di LPTK Sumatera Selatan. Instrumen berupa kuesioner gaya belajar, tes pilihan ganda, angket dan lembar observasi. Uji t beda rerata digunakan melihat peningkatan penguasaan konsep mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan tertinggi terjadi pada gaya belajar visual sebesar 83,0 (kategori tinggi) dan terendah pada gaya belajar kinestetik sebesar 66,3 (ketegori sedang). Peningkatan penguasaan konsep kelas eksperimen 74 (kategori tinggi) dan kelas kontrol 47 (ketegori sedang). Disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan  multimedia interaktif berbasis gaya belajar lebih efektif daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep pendahuluan fisika zat padat.This study aims to see the effect of interactive multimedia model based learning styles to improve the concept mastery introductory solid state physics prospective teachers. Experimental methods with pretest posttes control group design implemented of 37 students in the experimental class and 36 students in the control class LPTK South Sumatra. Instruments of learning styles questionnaires, multiple choice tests, questionnaires and observation sheets. The mean difference t test used to see an increase in student concepts of mastery. The results showed that the highest increase occurred in the visual learning style that is equal to 83.0 (high category) and the lowest at 66.3 for kinesthetic learning styles (medium category). Increased concept of mastery class experiments 74 (high category) and a control class 47 (medium category). Concluded that the use of interactive multimedia-based learning style is more effective than conventional learning in improving the concept mastery introductory solid-state physics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat perkuliahan eksperimen fisika yang dapat meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa calon guru dalam mendesain kegiatan praktikum fisika SMA. Mixed methods research melalui embedded experimental model dengan strategi embedded, digunakan sebagai metode penelitian sebagai tahap pengumpulan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif dalam satu waktu; yang melibatkan mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika salah satu LPTK di Maluku. Perangkat perkuliahan yang dikembangkan diadaptasikan dari pola pembelajaran kreatif yang disebut sebagai Aspek Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif (AKBK); aktivitas mahasiswa dalam mendesain kegiatan praktikum diarahkan pada Indikator Kegiatan Dalam Bereksperimen (IKDB). Pemahaman konsep fisika mahasiswa diukur berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom revisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, terjadi peningkatan AKBK mahasiswa untuk setiap IKDB pada kriteria sedang; serta peningkatan pemahaman konsep-konsep dasar fisika mahasiswa untuk indikator mencontohkan, mengklasifikasikan, dan menjelaskan pada kriteria sedang. Disimpulkan bahwa perangkat perkuliahan eksperimen fisika yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa dalam mendesain kegiatan praktikum fisika berdasarkan cakupan materi yang terukur.ABSTRACTThis study aimed to develop the lectures instrument of physics experiment to improve the creativity of preservice teachers in designing a high school physics lab activities. Mixed methods research through the embedded experimental models with embedded strategy, was used as a method of research, a stage of quantitative and qualitative data collection at a time, involving students of Physical Education courses one LPTK in Maluku. The developed lectures instrument adapted from creative learning pattern was referred to as Creative Thinking Skills aspect (CTSA), while student activity in the design of practical activities were directed at Activity Indicator In Experiment (SIEI). Understanding the concept of physics students was measured based on the revised Blooms taxonomy. The results showed an increase in students CTSA for each SIEI on the criteria of being; as well as an improve understanding of the basic concepts of physics students to cite, classify, and explain indicators. It was concluded that the developed lectures instrument of physics experiment can enhance student creativity in the design of physics experiment activities based on the coverage of the measured material.

Abstract

Research on utilization of rind extracts of red dragon fruit (hylocereus costaricensis) as sensitizer for dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) has been conducted by reviewing influence of the concentration against the DSSC efficiency. Characterization on optical absorption at various concentrations and identification of functional groups, each using an UV-Vis spectrometer and Fourier transform infra red (FTIR), have done to the dye in the form of the extracts. The dye characterization result on optical absorption at various concentration shows that the optical absorption at range of wavelength 320-760 nm has the peak of absorbance tend to increase with increasing the concentration. Therefore the dye is capable to role as a sunlight absorber. Meanwhile, infra red absorption spectrum obtained from FTIR results indicate the presence of functional groups O-H, C=O, C=C, C-O, and C-H aromatic. Results of current-voltage characterization of DSSC show an increase in maximum power and efficiency with increasing concentration.Penelitian mengenai pemanfaatan ekstrak kulit buah naga merah (hylocereus costaricensis) sebagai penyensitif pada dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) telah dilakukan dengan meninjau pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak terhadap efisiensi DSSC. Terhadap dye berupa ekstrak kulit H. Costaricencis dilakukan pengujian serapan optik pada berbagai konsentrasi dan identifikasi gugus fungsi, masing-masing menggunakan spektrometer UV-Vis dan fourier transform infra red (FTIR). Hasil pengujian dye pada konsentrasi 100 %, 50 %, 33,33 %, 25%, dan 20% menunjukan serapan optik yang terjadi pada panjang gelombang 320-760 nm, memiliki puncak yang cenderung semakin tinggi seiring dengan peningkatan konsentrasi. Dye yang berasal dari ekstrak kulit H. Costaricensis ini mampu berperan sebagai sunlight absorber. Sementara itu, spektrum serapan infra red yang diperoleh dari hasil FTIR mengindikasikan adanya gugus fungsi O-H, C=O, C=C, C-O, dan C-H aromatik. Hasil karakterisasi arus-tegangan dari DSSC menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai daya maksimum dan efisiensi seiring peningkatan konsentrasi.

Abstract

Organic waste water treatment can be conducted with technique of photocatalytic. Photocatalytic activity involves factors light intensity and amount of catalyst. In order this process can take place optimally, the catalyst material coating on the surface of the material buffer such as polymer shaped grains can be an alternative method. Setting the temperature and the duration of heating automatically is very efficient in controlling the physical characteristics of the photocatalyst materials. In this experiment, modification done on of the two types of thermal equipment milling namely cylindrical equipment milling equipped with heater and equipment milling based electric oven. The testing process of the thermal equipment milling performed with controlled temperature in the range of 110 ° C and setting the timer to 60 minutes. In testing the thermal characteristics of milling equipment, it takes as long as 220 minutes for each immobilization process using cylindrical milling and 65 minutes when using an electric oven. Setting the temperature and time in the electric oven milling  can be performed automatically, which can not be performed using cylindrical milling. Milling equipment based electric oven has also been used in the selection of buffer polymer materials and fabricate TiO2 photocatalysts which tested on photodegradation of organic compound of methylene blue (MB).Penjernihan air limbah organik dapat dilakukan dengan teknik fotokatalisis. Agar aktivitas fotokatalitik yang melibatkan faktor intensitas cahaya dan jumlah katalis dapat berlangsung secara optimal, pelapisan material katalis pada permukaan material penyangga berupa bulir polimer termoplastik dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif. Pengaturan temperatur dan lamanya pemanasan secara otomatis sangat efisien dalam mengendalikan karakteristik fisis material fotokatalis Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan modifikasi terhadap dua jenis peralatan thermal millng, yaitu peralatan milling cylinder yang dilengkapi dengan komponen pemanas dan peralatan miling berbasis oven listrik. Proses pengujian milling dilakukan dengan temperatur terkontrol pada kisaran 110 °C dan pengaturan timer 60 menit. Dalam pengujiankarakteristik termal kedua alat tersebut, dibutuhkan waktu selama 220 menit untuk setiap proses imobilisasi menggunakan milling cylinder dan 65 menit bila menggunakan peralatan berbasis oven listrik. Pengaturan temperatur dan waktu pada alat berbasis oven listrik dapat dilakukan secara otomatis, yang tidak dapat dilakukan menggunak milling cylinder. Peralatan milling berbasis oven listrik ini juga telah digunakan dalam pemilihan polimer penyangga material fotokatalis TiO2 serta pabrikasi fotokatalis TiO2 yang diujikan dalam fotodegradasi senyawa organik metilen biru (MB).

Abstract

This study aims to improve the creative thinking skills of prospective physics teacher as the impact of the application of interactive thermodynamics multimedia (ITMM). The research method used is quasi experiment with control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects consisted of 34 students in the experimental group and 33 students in the control group. Participant students are physics physics semester fourth, in one of the state universities in East Kalimantan. The research instrument consists of multiple choice test items charged with creative thinking skills. Data were analyzed by using difference test of two averages. The normalized gain gain score <g> of creative thinking skill aspect on the experimental group is 0.60 and the control group is 0.31. This indicates that the creative thinking skills of the prospective physics teacher increase significantly after they experience thermodynamic learning with interactive multimedia. Thus it can be concluded that the use of interactive multimedia improve the creative thinking skills of prospective physics teachers.

Abstract

Model volatilitas Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (ARCH)lag 1, dimana return error berdistribusi skewed Student-t, diaplikasikan untuk runtun waktu return kurs beli harian Euro (EUR) dan Japanese Yen (JPY) terhadap Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) dari Januari 2009 sampai Desember 2014. Metode indepence chain Metropolis-Hastings (IC-MH) yang efisien dibangun dalam algoritmaMarkov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) untuk memperbarui nilai-nilai parameter dalam model yang tidak bisa dibangkitkan secara langsung dari distribusi posterior. Meskipun 95% interval highest posterior density dari parameter skewness memuat nol untuk semua data pengamatan, tetapi sebagian besar distribusi posteriornya berada di daerah negatif, yang mengindikasikan dukungan terhadap distribusiskewed Student-t. Selain itu diperoleh nilai derajat kebebasan disekitar 15 dan 18, yang mengindikasikan dukungan terhadap heavy-tailedness.Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (ARCH) volatility model of lag 1, where return error has a skewed Student-t distribution,  for the buying rate Euro (EUR) and Japanese Yen (JPY) to Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) from January 2009 to December 2014,. An efficient independence chain Metropolis-Hastings (IC-MH) method is developed in an algorithm Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) to update the parameters of the model that could not be sampled directly from their posterior distributions. Although 95% highest posterior density interval from skewness parameter contains zero for all the data, most of the posterior distribution located in the negative area, indicating support for the skewed Student-t distribution into the return error. Furthermore the value of degrees of freedom is found around 15 and 18, indicating support for the heavy-tailedness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat perkuliahan eksperimen fisika yang dapat meningkatkan kreativitas mahasiswa calon guru dalam mendesain kegiatan praktikum fisika SMA.
