Abstract

Study of solid dispersions of ibuprofen-manitol by solvent method had been researched. Solid dispersions made in 4 ratio formula, F1; F2; F3 and F4 with ibuprofen-manitol ratio  3: 1, 2: 2, 1: 3, and 0.5: 3.5. Evaluation of solid dispersions of Ibuprofen - Manitol include x-ray diffraction (XRD), FT-IR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), assay and dissolution test. Results of X-ray diffraction solid dispersion system showed a decrease in intensity of the degree of crystalline ibuprofen. SEM characterization results indicated ibuprofen morphological changes towards more amorphous.

Abstract

The effect of HPMC and gom arabic to do dissolution ability of carbamazepine tablets made by wet granulation has been. There are 5 formulas of carbamazepine granules, mind each formula was containing 40% w/w of carbamazepine. Carbamazepine wese coated by HPMC polymers and gom arabic by spray drying process. formula 0 countain carbamazepine with coanted HPMC and  gom arabic witle formula 1 and 2 is countain carbamazepine coated by HPMC polymers with  concentration 5% w/w and 10% w/w respectively. Formula 3 and 4 is countain  carbamazepine which counted by gom arabic with  concentration 5% and 10% respectively. The result shows that formula 2 show the highest dissolution rate 134.7133%.

Abstract

The influence of drying method to the quality of sambiloto’s herbal crude had been done. The drying methode that used are oven drying at 45o C, direct sunlight drying and wind drying. The results showed that oven drying gave the best result with drying shrinkage value of 9.1147%, 9.3339% total ash value, acid insoluble ash content of 0.7768%, the levels of water-soluble extract 19.3226% and levels of 17.5160% ethanol-soluble extract.
