Abstract

Weather is an atmospheric condition that occurs in a narrow area with a short space of time. Observations of weather elements are needed in everyday life. for it can affect the safety of air transportation. The weather element that is often predicted is rainfall. Rainfall in tropical regions such as Indonesia is one of the parameters that can describe weather conditions in general. The method used to predict rainfall was artificial neural network with backpropagation algorithm. The purpose of this paper is to apply the model of artificial neural networks with backpropagation algorithm to predict daily rainfall and to determine prediction accuracy based on Mean Square Error (MSE). The network used has 3 layers namely input layer. hidden layer. and output layer with 7 input neurons, 12 hidden neurons, and 1 output neuron. The activation function used were bipolar sigmoid function and linear function. Based on data analysis carried out using network architecture and parameters that had been determined with 578 data at the training stage. MSE values of 25,0639 was obtained  and based on the results of the network training process. the prediction was quite well. In the testing stage. the model developed using data as much as 145. MSE value of 405,1994 was obtained. MSE obtained during the testing stage was greater than that of obtained during the training process due to several factors. one of them is because the weather is volatile so the weather conditions vary every year and global warming causes weather conditions to be unpredictable.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the ideal formula milk for infants aged 1-3 years in the Region of Mataram City of West Nusa Tenggara. Method of this research is inductive. This research used Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine the ideal formula milk for infants aged 1-3 in Mataram City Region of  West Nusa Tenggara based on several criteria such as price, nutritional value, net of packaging, and flavors. The result of this research showed that Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) can be used as one of the methods of decision-making in determining the ideal formula milk for infants aged 1-3 in Mataram City Region based on the four criteria.

Abstract

International Standard Book Number or ISBN is a code that contains information about the title, the publisher, the different types of materials for making the book, and publisher group from a book. The ISBN code of a book along with its development need to be checked for validity, because the more books are published, the more chance the book will be copied so that it has a double ISBN number. This research show that the use of modulo arithmetic in arranging ISBN for a book, especially ISBN-10 and ISBN-13. In this research too discussed about validation ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 using modulo arithmetic and expanded by developing an ISBN-n, for a natural number n greater than 10. Validation will be carried out in two stages, namely manually using modulo arithmetic calculation and then computing, by compiling java-based application to validate an ISBN. The development of ISBN-n for n ∊ ℕ and n ≥ 11 use the advantages of ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 and (Memorandum of Understanding/MoU) ISBN agency. Case studies in the Department of Library and Archives of West Nusa Tenggara Province on the ISBN validity of additional collection books for the 2015-2016 period showed that the ISBN validity of these books is 96%.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the Classification and Regression Trees (CART) and Naïve Bayes Classification (NBC) methods in classifying the nutritional status of toddlers in West Pagesangan by looking at their accuracy and also knowing the variables that influence the classification of toddler nutritional status. The data used in this study were toddlers who come to the posyandu in May 2019, with predictor variables used namely gender, ages, weight, mother’s employment status, mother’s education level, number of children and parents income. The result showed that Naïve Bayes Classification (NBC) is better in classifying the nutritional status of toddlers in West Pagesangan than Classification and Regression Trees (CART). This can be seen from the accuracy values obtained with three comparisons of training data and testing data. In the comparison of 90% of training data: 10% of testing data, obtained an accuracy value of 90% for NBC and 85% for CART, in the comparison of 80% of training data: 20% of testing data, obtained an accuracy value 0f 82.5% for NBC and 80% for CART, while in comparison 70% traing data : 30% testing data, obtained an accuracy value 72% for NBC and 70%for CART. This study also showed that significant variables the classification of nutritional status of toddlers in West Pagesangan village are age, gender, weight and parents income.

Abstract

The pipeline network is one of the most complex optimization problems consisting of several elements: reservoirs, pipes, valves, etc. The pipeline network is designed to deliver water to consumers by considering the demand and adequate pressure on the water pipe network. The main problem in designing reliable pipelines is the cost. The amount of cost that most influences the design of pipelines is the diameter of the pipe used. Therefore, this study aims to combine (hybrid) simulated annealing algorithm with genetic algorithm to optimize water pipe networks. The simulated annealing algorithm is the main algorithm in finding the optimal cost.Meanwhile, the genetic algorithm will assist in the pipeline update process using the roulette wheel selection. Simulation data is used to test the hybrid algorithm performance compared to the standard simulated annealing algorithm. The results show that the simulated annealing hybrid algorithm is able to get a more optimal cost in designing a water pipe network compared to the standard simulated annealing algorithm. Keywords: Optimization, Epanet 2.0, Simulated Annealing, and Genetic Algorithm

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected various aspects of life in Indonesia, one of which is the education sector. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, most junior high school teachers, especially at the Islamic Junior High School Pondok Pesantren At-Tamimy, only used textbooks as teaching materials which of course were less effective and interactive. Therefore, this Community Service (PkM) activity aims to introduce teachers at the Islamic Junior High School Pondok Pesantren At-Tamimy with interactive e-modules for online learning using Canva. The results of this activity indicate that the implementation of this Community Service Activity has been running quite well and smoothly. Through this workshop, the teachers of the Islamic Junior High School Pondok Pesantren At-Tamimy were given tutorials on making interactive e-modules which can actually not only be used in the online learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic, but can also be used for more efficient, effective offline learning. and fun because teachers can be creative in making e-module designs as attractive as possible for students. Based on the explanation of the results of the implementation of this activity, it can be concluded that the team has carried out the workshop well, smoothly, and fun because teachers can be creative in making e-module designs that are as attractive as possible.

Abstract

  This study explores the nature of mantra for the rice breeding in Campa Village, Madapangga District the regent of Bima.  As the indigenous people belive on the aesthetical and spiritual of the mantra, this study tries to explore how society especially the villagers who mostly are farmers perceive values in the mantra. This syudy used ethnograpy and approached the data analysis using qualitative methods.  Five informants having authority in the mantra were interviewed and harvesting rice was used as research setting.  Observation, interview and document analysis were the sources of data in this research.  This study reveals that aqidah (God trust) values are the most values people believe as the total renderness to Allah as the absolute truth.  Reying on Allah wish, people involve activities of plantation rice for success. The second value is syariah (law)  from where people rule and apply their social and daily life activities.  The third value is moral (akhlak) to maintain their surrounding in peace, safe and sustainable.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan salah satu ilmu yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan peradaban kehidupan manusia. Aljabar adalah salah satu bidang dalam matematika yang merupakan tonggak utama dalam perkembangan bidang-bidang lainnya, akan tetapi jumlah mahasiswa peminat aljabar khususnya di Universitas Mataram sangatlah sedikit begitu pula dengan hasil-hasil tulisan ilmiah pada bidang ini. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi, minat dan pengetahuan mahasiswa khususnya peminat aljabar di Universitas Mataram dalam bidang aljabar dan aplikasinya. Metode pendekatan yang akan diterapkan adalah melalui workshop yang berisi isu-isu dalam aljabar yang sedang hangat dibicarakan dan beberapa aplikasinya. Adapun hasil dari kegiatan workshop isu-isu strategis dalam aljabar ini adalah motivasi, minat, dan pengetahuan mahasiswa peminat aljabar di Universitas Mataram meningkat dalam bidang aljabar dan aplikasinya. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan tersebut sangat bermanfaat bagi para mahasiswa peminat aljabar di Universitas Mataram, yaitu dalam hal meningkatnya pengetahuan dan wawasan mahasiswa peminat aljabar di Universitas Mataram terhadap topik-topik aljabar yang sedang menjadi trend masa kini khususnya yang mengarah pada aplikasinya dalam dunia nyata Selain itu, mahasiswa juga lebih mudah menentukan rencana topik-topik penelitian baik untuk dijadikan bahan karya ilmiah maupun topik skripsi.

Abstract

Kriptografi dan teori kode merupakan dua cabang matematika yang terkait langsung dengan teknologi informasi modern. Dua cabang ini merupakan aplikasi dari konsep-konsep dasar dalam ilmu aljabar. Namun, saat ini jumlah peminat aljabar ataupun matematika secara umum sangatlah kurang. Padahal, ilmu ini sangat diperlukan untuk pengembangan teknologi komunikasi informasi yang lebih aman dan reliabel. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi, minat, dan kesadaran siswa sekolah menengah terhadap pentingnya aljabar dan matematika secara umum. Metode pendekatan yang akan diterapkan adalah melalui workshop yang berisi pemaparan tentang teknologi komunikasi modern dan konsep aljabar yang ada di belakangnya. Kegiatan workshop dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Praya. Setelah kegiatan ini, para siswa SMAN 1 Praya memiliki tambahan pengetahuan terkait aplikasi aljabar di dalam dunia teknologi modern. Selain itu, para siswa juga memiliki tambahan motivasi untuk mempelajari matematika, khususnya aljabar.
