Abstract

To address environmental issues, Indonesia aims to achieve a 23% renewable energy share by 2025 and 31% by 2050, according to the National Energy Plan. This article examines the regulations governing the management of rooftop solar power plant (rooftop-PV) in Indonesia and their connection to pro-environment consumer behavior. Despite Indonesia’s ambitious targets for Renewable Energy (RE) growth, progress in the field still needs improvement. Pro-environmental behavior (PEB) within the community is crucial for adopting rooftop PV as a more environmentally friendly energy alternative. This research employs a qualitative descriptive methodology with content analysis to evaluate the current situation. The research findings indicate that rooftop PV offers economic benefits through cost savings for consumers and is supported by existing regulations. However, some businesses feel that the government needs to expedite revising relevant regulations to address investment stagnation and installed solar panel capacity. Concerns arise that proposed policy changes may hinder the growth of rooftop PV businesses and the achievement of national capacity targets. The role of pro-environment consumer behavior, which has the potential to drive rooftop PV adoption, will be influenced by psychological and social factors, as well as changes in applicable regulations.

Abstract

Green waqf offers an innovative philanthropic model that bridges economic development with environmental sustainability. Despite its potential, most existing literature frames it within economic or traditional Islamic paradigms, leaving a gap in understanding its sociocultural dynamics. This study addresses that gap by analyzing the green waqf movement through the lens of social movement theory, focusing on the millennial-driven Bogor Waqf Forest in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative single-case study and hybrid thematic analysis, the research reveals that the green waqf is articulated as an embodiment of Islamic universalism integrated with ecological ethics. This articulation fosters religious and humanitarian motivations that drive millennial engagement. The movement is expressed through participatory, innovative, and digitally mediated waqf practices. These findings highlight a shift from conventional charity to ecologically conscious Islamic philanthropy. Future studies could explore comparative cases or apply quantitative methods to examine the influence of digital literacy on youth participation in green waqf initiatives.

Abstract

The interaction of culture, particularly Javanese culture, with the halal industry is a unique topic, as it examines how long-held traditional values adapt to modern developments within the halal industry, which has an Islamic identity. More comprehensive research is needed, gathering perspectives from relevant literature related to Javanese culture and the halal industry. Therefore, this study aims to gather various literature and its developments, while analyzing them to identify key themes, identify research gaps, and provide possible future research directions. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, using the PRISMA program using the Watase UAKE program, was chosen to achieve the research objectives. The research results demonstrated the relevance and validity of 47 articles out of 142 Scopus articles. The publication trend for "Javanese culture and the halal industry" has increased significantly since 2022. The main theme of Javanese culture is reflected in the keyword "Javanese culture," while in the halal industry, it is reflected in the keywords "halal industry" and "halal food." A variety of holistic and comprehensive approaches to understanding the dynamics of Javanese culture and the halal industry is needed to address various research gaps in the previous literature. Therefore, in the future, mixed-methods research will be the best choice, utilizing various theories, including Cultural Integration Theory.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Transformational Leadership on Employee Championing Behavior in the context of Organizational Change and the mediating role of Trust in Leader among employees of PT DSV Solutions Indonesia Semarang Branch. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected through an online questionnaire from 148 employees selected through purposive sampling from a population of 228 employees. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), including measurement and structural model assessments and bootstrapping for hypothesis testing. The findings show that Transformational Leadership has a significant positive effect on Employee Championing Behavior, while Trust in Leader partially mediates this relationship. These findings highlight the importance of transformational leadership and trust in strengthening employees’ support for organizational change, particularly in the Indonesian logistics industry undergoing transformation following a corporate acquisition.
