Abstract

The development of Padang City as a city that carries the creative industry began to be felt after the transition fromthe earthquake in 2009. The city of Padang began to improve to become the center of the creative industry in WestSumatra. The large variety of carvings and famous food and handicrafts has made the potential realm of MiningMajadi the national and foreign spotlight. Creative work produced by the community has become a trend inIndonesia, especially among the younger generation. The creative industry that is developing in Padang City hasmade a significant contribution, but has not been managed properly and has an impact on overlapping functions ofthe area and causes inconvenience for tourists. The research method used in this study is the Servqual Method. Thedata collection method used is divided into two activities, namely primary surveys consisting of field observations,interviews, and distributing questionnaires and secondary surveys consisting of literature studies and data collectionthrough related agencies. The research object is the creative industry in the city of Padang. This research producescalculations with the method Servqual, there are four attributes that have the highest gaps, namely the level ofservice fulfillment that is still far from the level of customer expectations. These attributes includecomfort/facilities/, tour guides can explain information clearly, friendliness. Location near creative industries closeto tourism locations, discounts on services, and materials.

Abstract

Information technology in an organization is very important to support organizational assets. An information technology audit needs to be carried out to determine the level of suitability of the current situation with the expected target. This study aims to manage audit findings and produce recommendations for improvement and sustainable management. This study uses the COBIT 5 framework. The chosen domain is DSS (Deliver, Service, and Support). The results of the study show that the average scale is 3.67 with a capability level of 4. The recommendations that appear can be used as a reference for achieving information technology targets at the Padang Class I A Religious Court.

Abstract

The development of Information Technology (IT) is currently growing so rapidly. So that the information system has penetrated almost every field of everyday life. There are several types of technology that are usually used by companies, especially to support the human resource management section in managing information in companies and one of them is by implementing technology from an information system regarding attendance. The role of IT in organizational operational processes, the Cooperative Industry and Trade office uses a fingerprint record system for taking attendance. The attendance-taking tool has a sophisticated electronic system that only reads the fingerprint patterns of each employee. With this fingerprint attendance, employees can be motivated to arrive early because fingerprint attendance cannot manipulate employee attendance in the office. This study uses the COBIT 4.1 method which focuses on the DS (Delivery and Support), and ME (Monitor and Evaluate) domains. By calculating the maturity level, the DS value of 4.58 is obtained at level 5, namely Optimized Level, which means that agencies have implemented information technology very well and agencies need to maintain system stability so that it continues to develop, while the ME calculated on a scale of 3.99 is at the level 4, namely managed level, which means that security in the system is quite good and only needs to be evaluated so that the vision and mission of the agency are achieved.

Abstract

The system applied by CV Jogja Convection which is one of the distributors in the city of Padang. In the data processing information system that supports sales which includes goods data, customer or customer data, and others. The design of this system is one of the choices to help the distribution of goods such as sales at CV Jogja Convection. The information system created is based on a website and has a function as a medium for the distribution of goods CV Jogja Convection. This web-based information system can speed up accurate data entry and fast search processes in sales information systems in particular.

Abstract

This scholarly investigation delves into the strong desire for academic scholarships within the student body, especially prominent among socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals. The study aims to formulate a hybrid data mining paradigm by synergizing the K-means and C4.5 methodologies. K-means is applied for clusterization, while C4.5 facilitates prediction and decision tree instantiation. The research unfolds in sequential phases, commencing with data input and progressing through meticulous pre-processing, encompassing data selection, cleaning, and transformation. The novelty lies in successfully integrating the K-means and C4.5 methodologies, culminating in the hybrid data mining method. The dataset comprises 200 students seeking scholarships, revealing effective stratification into three clusters—cluster 0, cluster 1, and cluster 2—with 119, 48, and 33 students, respectively. The K-means method proves highly suitable, especially when combined with C4.5, for predicting scholarship recipients. A subset of 81 students from clusters 1 and 2 undergoes predictive modeling using C4.5, resulting in a commendable 85% accuracy, with 17 accurate forecasts and 3 minor inaccuracies. This research significantly enhances scholarship selection efficiency, particularly benefiting socioeconomically disadvantaged students.

Abstract

Mountain climbing requires high vigilance and preparedness related to various conditions that may be faced. In order to improve the safety and comfort of climbers, this research designs and builds a system for detecting ground level, air pressure and temperature as well as monitoring the health of climbers with Telegram notifications based on Arduino Mega 2560. This system uses Arduino Mega 2560 technology, a board-based micro-controller that can be programmed for various applications. The system is able to detect and monitor ground level, air pressure, temperature and climbers' health conditions in real-time. In addition, the system is also integrated with Telegram, a popular communication platform. The Telegram notification facility is used to send information and alerts from the system to climbers or support teams. Thus, preventive measures or emergency treatment can be taken immediately if there is a significant change in conditions. With the design of this system, it is expected that the safety and comfort of mountain climbers can be better guaranteed, and the risk of accidents and unwanted health conditions can be minimized. This research contributes to the development of supporting technology for safer and more comfortable mountaineering activities

Abstract

The development of information technology provides great benefits and convenience, both in terms of data processing and presentation of information on inventory of existing goods in organizations, agencies or companies. One of the business processes that can be developed through information technology is the company's supply chain management process. An inventory information system using a good Supply Chain Management (SCM) method will increase the productivity and performance of the company. In conducting the research conducted at the pharmacy, the aim was to improve the old system. By conducting direct observations in the field, several weaknesses were found from the system that was running at the Arafah Padang Pharmacy. The results of the analysis are applied in an application that is able to process inventory system data using the Supply Chain Management (SCM) method. With the design of an inventory system with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) method, it can be more helpful in processing drug inventory data and the existing inventory system can increase the effectiveness and work efficiency of Pharmacy employees.

Abstract

Tingkat kelulusan mahasiswa tepat waktu adalah ukuran penting untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif sistem pendidikan tinggi. Untuk memprediksi kelulusan siswa berdasarkan data akademik, penelitian ini menggunakan algoritma Random Forest. Penelitian ini menghasilkan model prediktif dengan menganalisis faktor seperti IPK, kehadiran, dan nilai mata kuliah inti dari dataset seribu catatan mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi. Metode pembelajaran mesin ini dipilih karena kemampuan untuk menangani data yang rumit dan membuat prediksi yang akurat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma Hutan Random memiliki akurasi 87,5% dalam memprediksi status kelulusan siswa, serta presisi 86,3% dan recall 85,9 %. Tingkat kehadiran dan IPK adalah faktor paling penting dalam menentukan kelulusan tepat waktu, menurut analisis fitur penting. Model ini dapat membantu institusi pendidikan menemukan siswa yang berisiko tidak lulus tepat waktu, memungkinkan intervensi dini untuk meningkatkan tingkat kelulusan.

Abstract

Online marketplaces in Indonesia are growing rapidly and have become one of the main destinations for internet and social media users. Various marketplace services are available and accessed by the majority of Indonesians. However, with this development, consumer satisfaction with marketplace services varies, from positive, to negative, to neutral. Many consumers express their reactions on social media, including Twitter. In this study, an analysis of opinions was conducted on posts by online business customers in Indonesia on Twitter from various consumers. However, due to the large number of comments, it is difficult to conclude the customer's opinion about online shopping sites that offer the best services. Even trending topics on Twitter only display hot topics that are widely discussed without clear conclusions. To classify general opinion data on Twitter from e-commerce sites, the first step is to process tweet data using Rapidminer tools to recognize the tweet data. Then, the decision tree algorithm is used to categorize opinion data. The results showed that using cross-validation, the decision tree algorithm achieved an accuracy of 70.27 percent while using split validation, it achieved an accuracy of 66.95 percent. In this case, better accuracy was achieved using cross-validation. The results of this study can provide useful information for online businesses in Indonesia to improve the quality of their services and increase customer satisfaction. In addition, this study also provides an overview of the importance of utilizing the decision tree algorithm in categorizing opinion data on social media, especially on Twitter, as a tool for analyzing consumer sentiment towards a service or product.

Abstract

The SME products produced by the women's savings and loan cooperatives in Lubuk Basung, Agam Regency, West Sumatra are the majority of food products which are homemade on a home scale and are done by housewives. The growth and development of SMEs in the range of Maninjau Lake, Lubuk Basung, Agam Regency, especially those produced by housewives, has experienced various kinds of obstacles so that it is not optimal. Technology-based marketing strategies can be a major force to boost sales of these products. The purpose of this activity is to increase market share so as to increase turnover and profit from product sales through social media as a marketing tool for SME products. The number of participants was 47 people, consisting of housewives who were members of the cooperative. The method used is training and mentoring. The result of this training is an increase in the knowledge and ability of participants in the use of social media as a marketing tool, as indicated by a change in the average pretest and posttest scores, from a score of 71.03 to a score of 120.30. Participants' final understanding of social media Facebook is 70% greater than participants' final understanding of Instagram by 55%.
