Abstract

Kegiatan   Pengabdian   Pada   Masyarakat   (P2M)   ini   bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam Mengembangkan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran mulai dari membuat perangkat sampai dengan menyusun evaluasi. Sasaran pengabdian adalah guru-guru SMP Nasional Makassar.  Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam dua tahapan, yaitu workshop dan evaluasi. Pencapaian tujuan tersebut dilakukan melalui Workshop Pengembangan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran kurikulum 2013 dengan  metode  observasi, workshop, ceramah penugasan,  dan angket. Pelaksanaan kegiatan Workshop ini telah dilaksanakan yang diikuti oleh 30 guru . Pada kegiatan ini diberikan konsep penguatan materi terkait Kurikulum 2013. Dari hasil seluruh rangkaian kegiatan workshop pengembangan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran maka dapat diperoleh hasil: (1) Guru-guru mendapatkan motivasi, ilmu serta wawasan tentang pengembangan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) yang baik, meskipun masih ada sedikit kekurangan pada Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, (2) peserta workshop merespon dengan positif kegiatan ini, hal ini dapat diilihat dari hasil kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata sebesar 3,65, dengan persentase sebesar 87, 92%, (3) Kemampuan peserta mengembangkan RPP kurikulum 2013 sangat baik dengan memperoleh rata-rata hasilnya sebesar 2.73 dengan persentase 91.00% . This Community Service Activity (P2M) aims to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers in developing lesson plans starting from making learning media to preparing evaluations. The target of community service is Makassar National Junior High School teachers. The service activities are carried out in two stages, those are workshops and evaluation. To reach the aims, the workshop on the development of the learning implementation of  the Curriculum 2013 through observation, workshops, lecture assignments, and questionnaires was carried out. the participants of this workshop were 30 teachers. In this activity, the concept of strengthening the material related to the 2013 Curriculum was given. The results of the entire series of the workshop on the development Lesson Plan are: (1) Teachers received motivation, knowledge and insight about the development of a good lesson plan (RPP), although there is still a slight deficiency in the development of learning media, (2) the workshop participants responded positively to this activity. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire that shows the average 3.65, with the percentage of 87, 92%, (3) the ability of the participants in developing curriculum 2013 lesson plan is very good in which the average is 2.73 with the percentage of 91.00%.

Abstract

Not all students can absorb the material well, therefore researchers are interested in conducting research related to how students obtain information based on their personality. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive method, aims to describe students' conceptual understanding with sensing and intuition personality, with 2 subjects. Data collection techniques are tests and interviews. The test used is a personality test to select the subject. Furthermore, a concept understanding test was given to see his ability based on seven indicators of concept understanding, after that an interview was conducted to get more information about understanding the concept. The measurement of concept understanding uses the results of diagnostic tests, namely able, less able, and unable. Understanding the concept of personality sensing (S1), which is less capable of indicators of restating concepts, developing necessary and sufficient conditions, and using, utilizing, and choosing certain procedures but being able to give examples and non-examples of indicators, presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations, and apply concepts to problem solving. The emerging trend is to practically answer questions, focus on results, be specific and detailed in explanations. Careful in processing information and making decisions, as well as careful, realistic and concrete. The majority of indicators are understood by S1 so S1 tends to understand the concept. Understanding the concept of students with intuition personality (S2), which is less capable on indicators of developing necessary and sufficient conditions and using, utilizing, and choosing certain procedures but able on indicators of restating concepts, classifying objects based on their properties, giving examples and non examples, presenting concepts in the form of mathematical representations, and applying concepts to problem solving. The tendencies that emerge are imaginative, abstract, conceptual and answer in their own way. See the linkages and focus on the process. The majority of indicators are understood by masters, so masters tend to understand concepts.

Abstract

One of the abilities to be achieved through learning mathematics is the ability to solve problems. The problem is not just found in mathematics but also in their daily activity. The student needs to know how to solve a problem because there are many problems in the future that they must solve. Problem-solving in every student is different. The cause is the cognitive style that the student has. The student receives, manages, and makes the conclusion according to their cognitive style. The study aims to describe students' mathematical problem-solving abilities on the Pythagorean theorem material concerning field-independent and field-dependent cognitive styles. The method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with problem-solving test instruments, interview guidelines, and GEFT tests. Determination of the subject using the GEFT test to obtain a subject with an independent field of cognitive style and independent field of 2 subjects each. Problem-solving tests and interviews were used to obtain data on the subject's problem-solving abilities. The problem-solving indicator used is based on Polya's theory. The results showed that the subject with independent field cognitive style was able to do problem-solving well. While the subject with a field-dependent cognitive style is quite capable of solving problems, this is because there are some mistakes in writing answers. However, based on the interview, it was found that the subject was able to solve the problem but was in a hurry to solve the problem.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the mathematical communication skills of statistical material in terms of the self-confidence of class VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung. This research is a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 6 students of class VIII-9 who were selected based on self-confidence grouping, namely 2 students who had high self-confidence, 2 students who had moderate self-confidence, and 2 students who had low self-confidence. The instruments used in this study were self-confidence questionnaires, mathematical communication skills tests, and interview guidelines. the data analysis techniques used are data condensation, data presentation, and data verification. The results show that: 1) Students who have high self-confidence, have an average mathematical communication ability of 91.67 which is included in the high category, based on indicators show that they are able to master written text, drawing and mathematical expressions indicators, 2) students who have moderate self-confidence, have an average mathematical communication ability of 45.8 which is included in the medium category, based on indicators showing that they are less able to master written text, drawing and mathematical expressions indicators and 3) students who have low self-confidence, have an average the average mathematical communication ability is 16.7 which is included in the low category, based on indicators showing that they are not able to master written text and mathematical expressions indicators, for drawing indicators.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the mathematical problem solving ability of fractions in terms of learning styles in the seventh grade students of MTs Peris Ganra. Indicators of problem solving ability used in this study are (1) understanding the problem; (2) make a settlement plan; (3 carry out the plan; and (4) re-examine. Meanwhile, the visual learning style, auditory learning style, and kinesthetic learning style.This type of research is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research was carried out at MTs Peris Ganra Jl. Ganra sub-district education, Soppeng Regency. The subjects in this study amounted to 3 students who represented each of each learning style. The instruments used in this research are learning style questionnaires, problem solving tests, and interview guidelines. The results of this study indicate that (1) visual subjects are able to understand the problem, are able to make plans, are able to carry out plans, and are able to make conclusions and re-evaluate the final results obtained. (2) Auditory subjects are able to understand problems, are able to make plans, are able to carry out plans, and are able to draw conclusions and re-evaluate the final results obtained. (3) Kinesthetic subjects are able to understand problems, are able to make plans, and are able to carry out plans but do not make conclusions and re-evaluating because in working on the questions students are not able to write plans before completing the completion steps on the questions and also do not re-examine the final results obtained.
