Abstract

Party costume dress is one type of the party dress which is often used in a party with a certain dress code or costumes. Party costume dresses usually made with full of artistic value obtained from its inspiration and interpreted into a unique form. An inspiration can be obtained from various things, one of them is Phantom Gracious. Phantom Gracious is a concept derived from a hybrid engineering with scientific and other field of technology, produce a mysterious look, unique, somewhat spooky yet beautiful and wonderful look. Phantom Gracious impressions can be expressed in various ways, can be by using some dark colors, some monstrous materials like modular textiles, or can be by using a simple material like sequin as a garniture. The author explores the sequin technique that are placed on different media from previous one, not directly attached to the cloth with the aid of thread, but rather affixed to the wire media. The wire formed in such a way as the twigs and then attached to the dress as a garniture. Using this exploration of sequin technique will add some unique, mysterious, elegant and glamour value, and the expectation of using this exploration is the result of product have an appropriate impression with the concept of Phantom Gracious and can be accepted among the fashion lover and costumes industry.

Abstract

The This research is about the benefit of studying results management of the business boutique fashion as pioneering readiness of the business muslim women distro. The aim of this research of being to receive the data about the benefit of studying results management of the business boutique fashion was considered from competence and the aim of the business boutique fashion of the concept command, the etiquette of business fashion, the strategy of business boutique fashion, the management of human resources of business fashion, and the management production and marketing of the business boutique fashion. The method that was used in this research that is the descriptive method with the collector's implement of the data took the form of the poll. The sample of research used the purposive sample, that is the student of boutique concentration in Studi Program of fashion design Education Faculty of the Technology and Vocational Education, the generation of 2011 and 2011 that was total 34 people. Results of this research showed that more than half of students stated results of studying the management business of boutique fashion as being inspected from business boutique fashion of the concept command, the etiquette of business fashion, the strategy of business boutique fashion, the management of human resources of business fashion, and the management production and marketing of the business boutique fashion. Abstract

Based on the preliminary studies on the subjects studied this research review develoment of multimedia instructional videos industrial sewing machine operation. This study aims to identify learning materials, create a multimedia design instructional videos, perform and analysis of the results of validation. The proper method for this study is the method of approach R D (Research and Development). This study was conducted in Education Studies Program dressmaking Family Welfare Department of Education Faculty of Technical Education and Vocational Education University of Indonesia. The study population is learning materials expert and multimedia experts. Results of the validation by experts of material to get an average value of 94,2% percentage feasibility, by multimedia experts earn an average percentage of 80,6%. The tests concluded based on a standard feasibility of developing  multimedia instructional videos industrial sewing machine operation to fall into the category fit for use.

Abstract

Tugu Keris Siginjai adalah salah satu monumen terbaru yang berasal dari Jambi. Sampai saat ini tugu tersebut telah menjadi ikon Jambi dalam sudut pariwisata dan juga budaya. Monument tersebut merupakan simbol yang menggambarkan kenangan kota jambi. Keris Siginjai menjadi pusaka secara turun temurun yang diwariskan oleh Kesultanan Jambi. Tugu keris siginjai memiliki sembilan struktur besi pipa galvanis berbentuk spiral yang saling merangkai membentuk satu kesatuan. Penopang keris siginjai dan menyelimuti patung angsa. Serta terdapat beberapa motif batik khas jambi pada tugu keris siginjai. Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk melakukan eksplorasi tugu keris siginjai dalam membuat inovasi baru berupa busana pesta siang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Project Based Learning yang didalamnya berisi pemilihan tema, analisis, rancangan produk, proses pembuatan, dan evaluasi untuk mendapatkan produk yang diinginkan. Abstract

Inovasi mengandung makna perubahan, inovasi sangat berguna di segala bidang kehidupan, oleh karena itu memahami beberapa hal terkait inovasi memang diperlukan. Inovasi diperlukan untuk mempertahankan produk, baik jasa maupun barang agar terus diminati oleh pelanggan atau konsumen. Desa wisata merupakan desa yang memiliki potensi yang dapat menggerakkan orang orang untuk berkunjung dengan tujuan berwisata. Pada desa wisata membutuhkan inovasi dengan memanfaatkan potensi lokal yang diunggulkan. Pengembangan kawasan desa wisata Ciletuh, sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangkan potensi alam hanjeli desa sekitar Ciletuh Unesco Global Geopark, merupakan strategi mengenalkan potensi alam yang melimpah dan dapat diolah menjadi ciri khas desa wisata Ciletuh. Hanjeli merupakan produk unggulan Desa Wisata Waluran Mandiri tetapi belum dimanfaatkan dengan optimal sebagai produk kreatif di bidang lain selain pangan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut metodologi pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh sivitas akademika prodi Pendidikan tata busana di dalam memecahkan permasalan adalah menggunakan Actioan researchAction Research dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang melibatkan sasaran antara kader PKK dan sasaran langsung masyarakat/ perempuan muda sebanyak 20 orang di Desa Waluran di Kawasan Desa Wisata Ciletuh. Hasil dari Action adalah terdapatnya produk selain makanan dan strategi untuk mengexplorasi potensi hanjeli dengan diterapkan teknik ecoprint-tie dye yang menghasilkan motif tekstil yang menarik, ramah lingkungan dan merupakan tren fesyen yang sangat digemari masyarakat, terutama generasi muda/pengunjung desa wisata Ciletuh.

Abstract

Salah satu tokoh yang dapat dijadikan inspirasi busana pesta ini yaitu tokoh Odette pada film Barbie Of The Swan Lake. Film ini menceritakan seorang gadis yang menemukan hutan ajaib, dan disihir oleh Rothbart sehingga berubah menjadi angsa. Dengan karakter Odette batik hati dan penyayang. Namun pada bentuk kostum yang dikenakan Barbie Odette diidentik dengan hiasan bulu angsa. Dimana busana tersebut diubah menjadi busana pesta malam model ballgown. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplor bentuk model dan keunikan dalam busana Barbie Odette menjadi busana pesta malam model ball gown yang dipadukan dengan Feminim Romantic Style yang menjiwai karakter Odette. Penelitian dan pengembangan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini berdasarkan pada model PPE (planning, production, and evaluation) yang dikembangkan oleh Richey dan Klein. Hasil penelitian adalah Dengan karakter Odette batik hati dan penyayang. Namun pada bentuk kostum yang dikenakan Barbie Odette diidentik dengan hiasan bulu angsa. Dimana busana tersebut diubah menjadi busana pesta malam model ballgown. Ringkasan dari penelitian ini adalah pembuatan busana pesta malam dengan sumber ide tokoh Odette dalam film animasi Barbie Of The Swan Lake ini memiliki kualifikasi baik dengan presentase perolehan 80% dan 85% berdasarkan hasil penilaian Ahli Busana. Dari hasil penilaian tersebut menunjukan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan masih belum sempurna dan perlu adanya perbaikan dari hasil pembuatan busana pesta malam ini. Dengan demikian, diharapkan hasil rancangan busana pesta malam dengan mengeksplor busana Odette menjadi busana pesta malam model ballgown, dapat menjadi referensi busana pesta malam di Indonesia.Kata kunci : Busana Pesta Malam, Karakter, Odette

Abstract

The Knobbed Hornbill is one of Indonesian endemic animal who lives in Sulawesi Island. This bird only exist in one island, indirectly effected to very few population of Knobbed Hornbill and vulnerable to extinction. By that condition, Knobbed Hornbill must be preserved and introduced it to Indonesian society. The qualitative method applied in this research is Knobbed Hornbill literature study, visual analysis, and experiment to make strings of beads also modified the base shape of braiding. The result of this research will be applied to semi formal women daytime party dress. This outfit will visualized the color, shape, and habits of Knobbed Hornbill. Braiding and string of beads will be used as intermediary media to explain the point of the product. The aims of this research is to spread awareness of Indonesia endemic animal which is Knobbed Hornbill, and prevent this bird to extinct .

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of ribbon quilling technique as a decorative element in fashion design, focusing on cherry blossom motifs applied to a daytime party dress. Quilling, originally a 17th-century European paper craft, is adapted using grosgrain ribbon to create flower-shaped ornaments with a soft and elegant visual character. The novelty of this research lies in the use of ribbon-based quilling as an alternative approach for decorating formal wear, which has been scarcely explored in fashion design practice. This study employs a practice-led research approach through four main stages: exploration, design, realization, and evaluation. The exploration stage involves gathering visual references and adapting the quilling technique to the characteristics of grosgrain ribbon; the design stage includes sketch development and ornament placement; the realization stage covers the creation and application of quilling on the dress; and the evaluation stage is conducted based on the principles of unity, balance, and proportion by a fashion design expert. The results demonstrate that ribbon quilling technique can enhance the aesthetic value of formal wear by combining handcrafted skills with contemporary design approaches. These findings open opportunities for further development in accessories, costumes, and bridal wear, as well as contributing to fashion education and the preservation of handcraft-based decorative techniques.
