Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee competence and work facilities on service quality within the Social Affairs Office of East Kalimantan Province. A quantitative research approach was employed, using questionnaires distributed to all 50 employees as the total population. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression along with classical assumption tests to ensure the validity of the model. The results show that both employee competence and work facilities have a positive and significant effect on service quality, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.452, indicating that 45.2% of the variation in service quality can be explained by these two independent variables. Notably, work facilities exert a stronger influence (β = 0.285) compared to employee competence (β = 0.164). These findings highlight the importance of balancing employee competence development and the improvement of work facilities to ensure more effective, efficient, and responsive public service delivery.

Abstract

The availability of raw materials for the Food and Beverage industry is a sector that continues to grow and contributes greatly to supporting national economic growth. This opens up opportunities for Food and Beverage Subsector companies to increase their profit growth. Therefore, in increasing profit growth, it can be seen from two factors, namely production costs and current ratio. This study aims to analyze the effect of production costs and current ratio on profit growth in Food and Beverage Subsector companies. Data were collected through documentation techniques, which had a sample of 7 companies for 9 years (2015 - 2023) and a total of 63 data using purposive sampling techniques. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the study show that production costs have a smaller t-count value than the t table, which is -2,400> 2,000 and a sig. value. 0.019 < 0.05 or significance value is smaller than 0.05, then the production cost variable (X1) is stated to have a significant effect on profit growth (Y). While the current ratio has a calculated t value that is smaller than the t table value, which is 0.143 < 2,000 and a sig. value of 0.887 > 0.05 or significance value is greater than 0.05, then the current ratio variable (X2) is stated to have no significant effect on profit growth (Y). The implication of this study is the importance of managing operational costs efficiently. Companies should be careful in making financing decisions, because production costs that are too high can hinder profit growth. And efficient management of current assets remains important to maintain financial stability.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the influence of financial literacy and financial attitude on the financial behavior of students in the Management Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. The results show that financial literacy and financial attitude have a positive and significant effect on students' financial behavior, both partially and simultaneously. Financial literacy, which includes aspects of knowledge, skills, and confidence in managing money, is assumed to be closely related to wise financial decision-making. On the other hand, financial attitude, which reflects an individual’s views and judgments toward financial matters, also contributes to the formation of daily financial habits. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative method. Data were obtained from 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling and analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the influence between variables. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating financial education and fostering positive attitudes in supporting healthy personal financial management among students. Therefore, educational institutions are expected to play an active role in developing practical financial literacy programs and encouraging the formation of responsible financial behavior. These efforts serve as a crucial foundation for equipping students with the necessary skills and mindset to navigate future financial challenges effectively and independently.

Abstract

Capital structure has been a long-standing topic of discussion, representing the proportional arrangement of debt, preferred shares, and common shares in a firm. It holds a vital role in maximizing the effective use of resources and improving cash flow for stakeholders. To examine this relationship in depth, panel data from 2018 to 2022 was gathered for eight pharmaceutical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The study assessed several primary indicators of capital structure, including the debt-to-equity ratio, short-term leverage ratio, long-term leverage ratio, and the total debt ratio. Company performance was evaluated using Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE), while variables such as inflation, liquidity, growth rate, tax rate, and firm size were controlled to strengthen the analysis. The results indicate that all categories of debt ratios—whether short-term, long-term, or total—tend to have a considerable negative effect on ROA. On the other hand, some debt measures, notably short-term total debt, are positively associated with ROE. The long-term debt ratio, however, shows a negative but statistically insignificant relationship with ROE. Furthermore, among the various determinants of company performance, liquidity ratios are found to be insignificant, underscoring the characteristics of the link between capital structure and performance.

Abstract

This research aims to apply green supply chain management and 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) to the utilization of wood waste and to determine to what extent wood waste is useful for human life. A total of 30 articles related to green supply chain management, 3R, and Wood Waste Utilization have been identified following the recommended systematic literature review methodology. The methodology in this research uses a systematic literature review approach. The systematic literature review research above shows that green supply chain management is combined with GIS for geospatial decision-making and the transportation of wood waste in the furniture industry to utilize wood waste. Wood waste is mainly produced by the woodworking or furniture industry as solid waste (wood chips, small pieces of wood, sawdust, and wood ash). By implementing green supply chain management and 3R in managing wood waste, it is hoped that wood waste will have added economic value and make more helpful use of waste. The results of wood waste management, such as mini carving crafts, particle board, and wood ash as a concrete mixture and shiny ceramics, biomass, and wood waste, are used to reduce iron oxide. Managing and utilizing wood waste will help increase the income of wood artisans and reduce production costs. Apart from that, managing wood waste as environmental preservation and maintaining forest sustainability. Like other systematic literature review studies, this research has limitations, such as translation procedures, data collection over time, and the need for systematic references. Future research can include additional variables interconnected with green supply chain management and 3R

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation on environmental performance through pro-environmental behavior among employees of five-star hotels in East Kalimantan. The research is motivated by the importance of implementing green human resource management (GHRM) practices to support sustainable development, especially in rapidly developing regions such as the future National Capital (IKN), which emphasizes the concept of a green city. The research object consists of 114 randomly selected employees from five-star hotels in East Kalimantan. The study uses a quantitative approach with survey methods, and data analysis is conducted using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via the SmartPLS program. The results indicate that intrinsic motivation has a positive and significant effect on environmental performance (p=0.008), while extrinsic motivation does not have a significant effect (p=0.967). Pro-environmental behavior also has a positive and significant effect on environmental performance (p=0.000). The R-square value for environmental performance is 0.441, meaning that 44.1% of the variation in environmental performance can be explained by intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, and pro-environmental behavior. These findings suggest that developing intrinsic motivation and promoting pro-environmental behavior are key strategies for enhancing organizational environmental performance. The discussion highlights the importance of intrinsic motivation in encouraging employee initiative and commitment to pro-environmental practices, while extrinsic motivation needs to be structured more effectively to be impactful. The study recommends that hotel management pay more attention to developing intrinsic motivation through training, recognition, and self-development opportunities, as well as implementing GHRM practices oriented toward environmental sustainability. Future research can expand the research variables and increase the sample size to strengthen the generalization of the findings.
