Abstract

The problem of human trafficking under the guise of illegal TKI trade (Human Trafficking) is still a crime that can threaten human security throughout the world including in Indonesia and more particularly in four districts in West Nusa Tenggara, West Lombok, Central Lombok Regency, East Lombok Regency, and North Lombok Regency. IOM Indonesia's Counter Trafficking Unit is one of the international organizations that have the task of dealing with human trafficking issues. With the sense of need to play an active role in overcoming the problem of illegal TKI trade in NTB, therefore Counter Trafficking Unit cooperates with NTB government to jointly seek various strategies to create human security in the form of illegal kindergarten trade in four districts namely West Lombok regency, Central Lombok, East Lombok Regency, and North Lombok Regency of West Nusa Tenggara Province. The methodology used by researchers in this research is qualitative method with descriptive technique. This method according to the researchers will be able to describe and explore problems that occur systematically, valid, factual and accurate. Furthermore, the main purpose of this research is to see how the role of Counter Trafficking Unit in assisting NTB Government to overcome the illegal trade of migrant workers by Traffickers (Calo/ PJTKI) in NTB. The conclusion of this research is IOM Counter Trafficking Unit has a role set in handling the problem of illegal TKI trade in NTB, ie as role expection, strengthening of role conception, establishing partnership with NTB government from 2001 -2018.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis pengaruh budaya China Kuno terhadap kepentingan nasional China melalui Belt and Road Initiatives. Pemerintah China mencoba untuk menghidupkan kembali kejayaan China Kuno dalam memanfaatkan jalur perdagangan yang terletak pada Jalur Sutra Kuno melalui kerangka BRI. Artikel ini akan menggunakan konsep budaya dalam konteks hubungan internasional dan konsep kepentingan nasional. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan informasi, seperti dokumen, buku, sumber dari internet dan catatan. Penulis menemukan korelasi antara budaya China Kuno yaitu Jalur Sutra Kuno dengan inisiasi China melalui kerangka Belt and Road Initiatives. Pemerintah China menggunakan sejarah dan budaya China Kuno, khususnya Jalur Sutra Kuno sebagai landasan mereka untuk membuat sebuah kebijakan. China ingin mengembalikan kejayaan masa lampau ke masa kini, tentunya dengan berbagai adaptasi karena perubahan zaman.This article analyzes the influence of Ancient Chinese culture on China's national interests through the Belt and Road Initiatives. The Chinese government is trying to revive the glory of Ancient China by utilizing trade routes that lie on the Ancient Silk Road through the framework of the BRI. This article will use the concept of culture in the context of international relations and the idea of national interest. This study will use qualitative methods by collecting information, such as documents, books, sources from the internet, and notes. The author found a correlation between the culture of Ancient China, namely the Ancient Silk Road, and Chinese initiation through the framework of the Belt and Road Initiatives. The Chinese government uses the history and culture of Ancient China, especially the Ancient Silk Road, as their basis for making policies. China wants to return the glory of the past to the present, with various adaptations due to changing times.

Abstract

The study investigates the supply chain actors of poultry industry in Malaysian context. Involvement of grower and supplier has significant impact on supply chain and ultimately success of business while improving the performance of business. Current study entails the important actors of supply chain found crucial in poultry industry, these factors include involvement of grower, supplier and innovation of product to increase quality and enhance performance. The broiler industry has increased rapidly and expected to grow higher in future; to meet the increasing demand supply chain must be effective and responsive towards the market challenges. The research found that involvement of grower has significant impact on business performance, supplier also found to significant along with innovation capability influence business performance in poultry industry. In previous researches managerial skills are ignored but the study explains the moderating effect of management in determining the performance while considering the supply chain actor of poultry industry of Malaysia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ensure the organizational performance through internal and external drivers along with the mediating role of green supply chain management on Indonesian manufacturing industry. 5point Likert scale is used to collect the data. Random sampling technique is used on the 300 respondents from Indonesian medical officers. PLS3 is used to analyze the data. The findings of this concluded that internal drivers and external drivers are strong motivators for “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)” to practice. “Green supply chain management” practices such as management of internal environmental, cooperation and green purchasing with consumers are in practice in Indonesian “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)”. SMEs that practicing “Green supply chain management” may expand company repute and consequence in higher loyalty with improved sales, and increased profit.

Abstract

The principal purpose of the current study is to explore the nexus between supply chain financial risk, supply chain operational performance and supply chain management. To achieve the objective of the current study we have proposed two direct and one indirect hypothesis. To achieve the objective of the current study, we have employed the structural equation modeling and used the statistical package of smart PLS-3. The data by mean of an adapted survey instrument in the form of questionnaire is collected from the operation and finance managers of manufacturing firms. The results of the current study are providing support to the hypothesized results as supply chain financial risk appear in significant relationship with firm supply performance. Meanwhile the supply chain operational risk is in significant relationship with supply chain management and also significantly moderate the relationship between supply chain financial risk and supply chain management. The current study which in author knowledge is among few pioneering studies on this issue, will be helpful for financial experts, operation managers, academicians, researchers and other policy makers in formulating policies.

Abstract

The supply chain management is an emerging discipline, which during the course of three decades has emerged from an operational function to a competitive strategy. The authors have employed different theoretical models to explain the success factors of supply chain management. The current study is carried out to explain the relationship between HR practices and supply chain performance. In addition to that the current study, is also interested in finding the impact of organizational culture in the relationship between a set of HR practices and supply chain performance. To achieve the research objectives, we have employed two step smart PLS technique, which is one of the robust SEM technique of recent times. We have used the smart PLS as statistical tool to achieve the research objectives the data by mean of an adapted survey instrument in the form of questionnaire is collectedfrom the operation and finance managers of Indonesian manufacturing firms. The results of the current study are providing support to the hypothesized results. The direct and indirect relations appear positive and significant. The current study which in author knowledge is among few pioneering studies on this issue, will be helpful for financial experts, operation managers, academicians, researchers and other policy makers in formulating policies.
