Abstract

This paper discusses trends, challenges, and perspectives in logistics system of Indonesia during and post (new normal) of Covid-19 pandemic. PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restriction) caused a number of supply chains to be cut and made railroad transportation activities decreased. On the other hand, WFH (Work From Home) caused sector of e-Commerce to grow during the pandemic. Challenges in logistics system of Indonesia during the pandemic are changes in distribution patterns, changes in handling processes, changes in facilities and equipment, changes in business processes, and changes in networks. Adaptations in logistics system during the pandemic are using ICT (information and communication technology) such as TMS (Transportation Management System) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and considering health. WMS (Warehouse Management System) still has a great opportunity to be utilized. The adaptations raise a new discipline in Industrial Engineering, namely logistics hygienic. The use of various ICTs in logistics system together with implementation of health protocols are expected to be a solution for logistics system in Indonesia, especially for the new normal of Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melanjutkan penelitian sebelumnya dalam menganalisis solusi rancangan jaringan distribusi yang dihasilkan oleh penelitian tersebut. Kelemahan dari penelitian sebelumnya adalah solusi yang dihasilkan oleh algoritma transportasi yang digunakan belum dibandingkan dengan solusi optimal. Oleh karena itu solusi yang dihasilkan oleh algoritma transportasi yang digunakan belum diketahui kualitasnya. Masalah transportasi berkaitan dengan pendistribusian komoditas dari kelompok pusat pasokan, yang disebut sumber, ke kelompok pusat penerima, yang disebut tujuan, sedemikian rupa sehingga meminimalkan total ongkos distribusi. Penelitian ini memformulasikan masalah transportasi ke dalam model programa linier dan menyelesaikannya dengan menggunakan LINGO 12.0. Penelitian ini berhasil memperbaiki penelitian sebelumnya dengan menghasilkan kualitas solusi optimal dan ongkos distribusi total yang benar yaitu Rp13.355.604.000. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan pentingnya penggunaan kedua metode, baik itu algoritma transportasi dan model programa linier pada masalah transportasi untuk memverifikasi hasil dan meminimasi kesalahan.

Abstract

[Id]Pengukuran ongkos logistik nasional merupakan indikator yang penting bagi sebuah negara untuk mendukung pembuatan kebijakan nasional, target operasional, dan modal sumber daya. Selain itu, pengukuran ongkos logistik nasional juga memberikan pengukuran performansi, membuka jalan kepada tindakan perbaikan, serta merupakan infrastruktur yang penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi. Indonesia telah memiliki model pengukuran ongkos logistik nasional yang disesuaikan dengan ketersediaan data di Indonesia. Data yang dibutuhkan untuk menghitung ongkos logistik Indonesia mencapai 600 data. Data tersebut akan dikumpulkan setiap tahun karena ongkos logistik nasional juga akan dihitung setiap tahunnya. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan sistem basisdata yang dapat mempermudah pengelolaan data yang digunakan untuk menghitung ongkos logistik Indonesia.Kata kunci: Basisdata, ongkos logistik Indonesia, sistem.[En]National logistics cost measurement is an important indicator for a country to support national policy making, the targeted deployment of operational, and capital resources. Besides that, national logistics cost measurement is enable measurement of performance, pave the way for corrective actions, and an important infrastructure for economic growth. Indonesia already has its own national logistics cost model which is appropriated with the availability of the data in Indonesia. There are about 600 data that are needed to calculate Indonesia logistics cost. Those data will be collected every year for national logistics cost also will be calculated every year. Therefore, it needs database system that can simplify the management of the data that are used to calculate Indonesia logistics cost.Keywords: Database, Indonesia logistics cost, system.

Abstract

Simulation is one of the techniques of operationsresearch and management science that is most usedwidely. The goal of simulation is to estimate theperformance measures of the evaluated system usingcomputers. This paper provides the simulation oftellers to estimate and then improve its performancemeasure which is the utilization. The initial utilizationof XYZ Bank is 24.13% on average. Two scenario areconducted to improve the utilization. Scenario 1improves the utilization by 32.26% on average andscenario 2 improves the utilization by 47.84% onaverage. This paper suggests XYZ Bank to applyscenario 2 that can improve the utilization by 23.72%.

Abstract

The growth rate of four-wheeled vehicles in particular increased significantly each year. This is supported by several aspects of which increase people's purchasing power, the rate of population mobility is increasing, and they still lack the means of public transport that is safe, convenient and timely. Since 2015 the government has been operating new Toll Road from Cikampek to Palimanan (CIPALI) which aims to reduce number of congestion on the northern coast line, especially in the holiday season of Eid. This study aimed to analyze the level of safety Cipali toll road using a Road Hazard Mapping (RHM). The method used is a combination of direct observation data collection and analysis via Google Maps. The results of the study obtained a draft RHM which can be used as a reference for the driver before entering the Cipali toll both from Cikampek to Palimanan and vice versa.Keywords: safety driving, cipali, road hazard mapping (RHM)

Abstract

The current study considered the effect of organization culture capability and relationship building capability on supply chain operational performance with the mediating role of supply chain technology adoption. This study focused on the Indonesian supply chain companies. Data were collected from the employees of supply chain companies. Questionnaires were distributed with the help of area cluster sampling techniques and 7-point Likert scale was preferred. Total 350 questionnaires were distributed with the help of email. Data were analysed with the help of Partial Least Square (PLS). Results of the study investigated that organization culture capability and relationship building capability both have an important contribution in supply chain operational performance through supply chain technology adoption. Moreover, supply chain technology adoption playing a mediating role. Thus, majorly this study contributed by highlighting the mediating role of supply chain technology adoption.

Abstract

One of the problems that frequently happen in distribution management is the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). VRP aims to create an optimal route, which has a minimum total distance to meet consumer demand. This problem is being experienced by UD. XYZ which causes cost overruns. The purpose of this study is to design product distribution routes to minimize distribution costs at UD. XYZ. The method used is a saving matrix with a dynamic program approach, nearest neighbor, and nearest insertion. Furthermore, the analysis of the sensitivity of the load and fuel is carried out. The saving matrix method with a dynamic program approach is able to reduce the distance traveled per week from 184.44 km to 136.65 km. In addition, the dynamic approach is also able to reduce distribution costs by 15.16% or Rp. 36,559.35 per week with distribution costs for the existing condition of Rp. 241.096.60 to Rp. 204.537.25. Salah satu permasalahan yang sering dialami dalam manajemen distribusi adalah Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). VRP bertujuan untuk membuat suatu rute yang optimal, yaitu memiliki total jarak minimum dalam memenuhi permintaan konsumen. Permasalahan ini sedang dialami oleh UD. XYZ yang menyebabkan pembengkakan biaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang rute distribusi produk untuk meminimasi biaya distribusi pada UD. XYZ. Metode yang digunakan saving matrix dengan pendekatan program dinamis, nearest neighbor, dan nearest insertion. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis sensitifitas muatan dan bahan bakar. Metode saving matrix dengan pendekatan program dinamis mampu memperkecil jarak tempuh per minggu yang semula 184,44 km menjadi 136,65 km. Selain itu pendekatan dinamis juga mampu menurunkan biaya distribusi sebesar 15,16% atau Rp36.559,35 per minggu dengan biaya distribusi kondisi saat ini Rp241.096,60 menjadi Rp204.537,25.

Abstract

Good inventory management can plan, control, and manage the company's inventory to consumer demand. Poor inventory management has a significant impact on the company. Excess raw materials will affect high inventory costs, and a lack of raw materials will impact dissatisfied consumers. Therefore it is necessary to have a valid inventory policy. This research aims to minimize PT XYZ's inventory costs using the Continuous Review and Periodic Review methods. The research was conducted by taking data from PT XYZ and then doing ABC analysis, normality test, Continuous Review and Periodic Review methods, and sensitivity analysis. The results showed that the most optimal inventory policy for minimizing inventory costs is the continuous review method (s, S). The results of this study can be used as a reference in determining inventory policies to minimize costs. Manajemen persediaan yang baik mampu merencanakan, mengendalikan, serta mengelola persediaan perusahaan terhadap permintaan konsumen. Pengendalian persediaan yang buruk sangat berdampak bagi perusahaan. Kelebihan bahan baku akan berdampak pada tingginya biaya persediaan dan kekurangan bahan baku akan berdampak pada tidak puasnya konsumen. Oleh karena itu perlu ada kebijakan persediaan yang tepat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meminimasi biaya persediaan PT XYZ menggunakan metode Continuous Review dan Periodic Review. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil data dari PT XYZ lalu dilakukan analisis ABC, uji normalitas, metode Continuous Review dan Periodic Review serta analisis sensitivitas. Hasil penelitian didapatkan kebijakan persediaan dalam meminimasi biaya persediaan yang paling optimal adalah Metode continuous review (s,S). Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam menentukan kebijakan persediaan untuk meminimasi biaya.

Abstract

VRP (vehicle routing problem) belongs to the problem of NP-hard. It makes the computation time becoming longer as the number of data increases. This statement is in accordance with previous research which solved the VRP for the rice distribution system in Bandung which consisted of 40 demand points in the form of traditional markets using the optimal method. The computational time required is 167 hours 52 minutes 38 seconds. Therefore, a heuristic method is needed to solve VRP with a more efficient computation time and an acceptable solution. The purpose of this paper is to complete the VRP by using an annealing simulation to design a rice distribution system in Bandung. Simulated annealing (SA) is a local search algorithm (meta-heuristic) that is able to get out of the local optimum. Its ease of implementation, the use of hill-climbing motions to avoid local optimal, and the convergent nature, have made SA a popular technique over the past two decades. After comparing the results to the ILP model, the computational experiments show what the SA algorithm developed in this paper is able to produce a relatively small gap in terms of total transportation cost, which is 1.26%. This paper has also succeeded in improving the previous paper by reducing the computation time to 19 seconds using the developed SA algorithm.

Abstract

Poor supply chain management can cause operational costs to swell, which consumes business funds while slowing down the delivery process to customers. The Redjosari Sugar Factory currently has a decline in the percentage level of productivity and is still below the predetermined production target. This is because it has not been able to identify and monitor its success or failure and has not decided for performance measurement standards. For this reason, it is necessary to measure the performance of the factory. This study aims to determine the KPI criteria for measuring performance in production activities and to design a monitoring system. The research was conducted using the BSC and SCOR methods. Tools are needed to identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in its application and then combined with the AHP method. Furthermore, the monitoring system design and Kendall Tau test were carried out. The study results obtained 11 KPIs for measuring supply chain performance in the production activities of the Redjosari Sugar Factory. In addition, the performance measurement system designed in this study is a dashboard monitoring system based on the Microsoft Excel application. The dashboard monitoring system that has been created can be used to monitor the performance of supply chain activities through the level of production activity at each KPI and monitor the overall progress of the performance results of each perspective on the BSC model. Based on the results of the Kendall Tau correlation analysis between the monitoring system and the effectiveness of the production process, it was found that there was a relationship between the two variables and had a strong relationship. The results of this study can be used as a reference for improving performance at the Redjosari Sugar Factory.
