Abstract

The low quality of education refers to teachers' low work motivation and job satisfaction. These two variables are important because they affect their performance in madrasas. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze the relationship between teacher work motivation and madrasah teachers job satisfaction in the last ten years. This research uses meta-analysis and systematic review using JASP 0.14.1.0 software. The data found as many as 25 papers through a search, and nine papers were selected according to predetermined characteristics. The data taken from the selected articles is the number of samples (N) and the correlation value (r) in each paper, and then the effect size is analyzed. The study results found that the effect size value resulting from the relationship between the two variables was 0.610, with a moderate category at a 95 per cent confidence level at an interval of 0.450 to 0.770. The meta-analysis results in this study have stated the consistency of the results of previous studies and have strengthened existing theories, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between work motivation and madrasah teachers job satisfaction. Recommendations from the results of this study, it is necessary to conduct further research on job satisfaction of honorary teachers at every level of madrasah education.

Abstract

The development of education in Indonesia is experiencing increasing change and progress, particularly in Islamic-based educational institutions such as madrasas. This study aims to examine in-depth the governance of student development in a boarding school-based education model as an effort to realize an effective and superior Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Tangerang. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation studies. The data analysis process followed the interactive framework of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with validity guaranteed through triangulation of sources and techniques. The research findings indicate that the implementation of managerial functions including planning, organizing, mobilizing, and supervising has been harmoniously integrated with the principles of school-based management. This synergy has been proven to create an educational ecosystem conducive to optimizing student potential. This managerial transformation has had a substantial impact on improving academic and non-academic achievements, strengthening students' disciplined, religious, and independent character, and strengthening the image and public trust in the institution. To ensure sustainable quality, this study recommends a comprehensive strategic approach to addressing managerial obstacles, particularly related to strengthening budget allocation, improving coordination, and developing the competencies of boarding school supervisors. Theoretically and practically, this research confirms the significance of transforming boarding school-based student development management in accelerating the achievement of highly competitive madrasahs

Abstract

This study examines efforts to reposition the Islamic Education Management (MPI) Study Program within the Islamic Religious Higher Education (PTKI) ecosystem through a strategic review of national regulations and curriculum adaptability to workplace demands. This research aims to formulate strategic steps to align the curriculum and quality management practices with industry needs to improve graduate competitiveness. Although the MPI curriculum development has referred to the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), tracer study data still shows low absorption of graduates into managerial positions and relevant educational fields. Meanwhile, DIKTIS policies, such as the PTKI Curriculum Guide and KMA No. 347/2022, have established quality standards, but their implementation remains hampered by structural and cultural barriers at the study program level. Using literature study methods and institutional policy analysis through official documents and empirical data from several PTKIN, this study finds an urgent need for a paradigm shift from administrative management to outcome-based quality management supported by cross-sector collaboration. The repositioning of MPI demands the presence of an adaptive curriculum, strategic partnerships with the industrial world, and the active role of DIKTIS as a solution-oriented policy facilitator.

Abstract

Digital transformation has increasingly reshaped how Islamic educational institutions manage information, communicate institutional value, and attract prospective students. However, limited empirical evidence explains whether institutional image still mediates the relationship between digital-based educational information management and student interest, particularly in Islamic secondary education. This study examines the direct effect of Digital-Based Educational Information Management (DBEIM) on Student Interest and tests the mediating role of Madrasah Image among State Islamic Senior High Schools in Banten Province, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory survey design was employed, involving 535 student respondents selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The measurement model confirmed adequate reliability and validity, with indicator loadings ranging from 0.720 to 0.915, Cronbach’s Alpha values between 0.935 and 0.961, Composite Reliability values between 0.949 and 0.973, and AVE values between 0.715 and 0.818. The structural model showed that DBEIM had a strong positive effect on Student Interest (β = 0.711, t = 18.245, p = 0.000) and significantly improved Madrasah Image (β = 0.654, t = 14.321, p = 0.000). However, Madrasah Image did not significantly affect Student Interest (β = -0.040, t = 0.632, p = 0.528) and did not mediate the DBEIM–Student Interest relationship (β = -0.022, t = 0.624, p = 0.533). These findings challenge the assumption that institutional image consistently functions as a mediating mechanism and suggest that, among digital-oriented madrasah students, interest is shaped more directly by digital utility, information accessibility, and service responsiveness than by general institutional image
