Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of government communication in conveying public policies through social media. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of content analysis of official social media accounts of government agencies, in-depth interviews with key informants, and online observation of public involvement. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of government communication on social media still varies between agencies, influenced by communication strategies, language styles, and forms of content presentation. Policy messages are often delivered formally and less communicatively, so they are not fully understood by the public. Two-way interaction is also still limited, resulting in low responsiveness to public comments and questions. Supporting factors for communication effectiveness include the professionalism of the management team, consistency of uploads, and the use of attractive visual content. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced include low digital literacy of the apparatus, limited communication budget, and the absence of standard digital communication guidelines. This study recommends the need for a more humanistic and participatory communication approach so that the delivery of public policies can be more effective and impactful.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and reactualize the concept of Islamic preaching (da’wah) from the perspective of the Qur’an and Sunnah in the digital era through an ethical, communicative, and contextual approach. In Islam, da’wah is not merely a process of delivering religious messages but also a form of social communication grounded in Qur’anic moral and spiritual values. Using a qualitative library research method and hermeneutic analysis, this research examined more than thirty academic papers published between 2020 and 2025 that discuss Qur’anic da’wah and digital preaching practices. The findings reveal a paradigm shift in contemporary da’wah from monologic preaching toward dialogical, visual, and participatory forms through digital media such as YouTube, TikTok, and podcasts. Core Qur’anic values such as bil-hikmah (wisdom), mau’izhah hasanah (gentle advice), mujadalah billati hiya ahsan (constructive dialogue), and wasathiyah (moderation) remain the ethical foundation of digital da’wah communication. Moreover, digital da’wah plays a crucial role in strengthening religious moderation and enhancing Islamic literacy among younger generations, despite facing challenges such as misinformation and the commercialization of religion. This study proposes a conceptual model of Qur’anic da’wah in the digital era that integrates revelation, modern communication, and social responsibility.

Abstract

The issue of organic waste management in rural areas remains an environmental challenge that requires community-based participatory approaches. Ciampea Asri Village, located in Ciampea District, Bogor Regency, is a densely populated area experiencing a significant increase in household waste over the past few years. Most organic waste, such as food residues and leaves, is either burned or disposed of in temporary dumps, contributing to air pollution and environmental degradation. Through a community service program grounded in environmental communication, this activity aims to enhance community participation in organic waste management by developing and utilizing a Compost House as an educational and environmental communication medium. The implementation method uses a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach which involves 35 residents of RW 06 Ciampea Asri Village in the problem identification stage, composting training, and compost house construction, to digital-based environmental campaigns. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-tests to assess increased knowledge, as well as field observations to see changes in waste management behavior in ecological aspects in the community. The results indicated a 31% increase in environmental literacy, the processing of 180 kg of organic waste into 50 kg of usable compost in a weekly. This program contributes to achieving SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by fostering ecological awareness, self-reliance, and a culture of collaboration among the residents of Ciampea Asri Village.
