Abstract

Ijen caldera complex is a volcano that has a 7 km diameter elliptical caldera which only leaving a northern caldera wall curving towards the southward. Ijen crater as a youngest volcano and still active today stratigraphically composed of lava flow, pyroclastic flow sediments, and pyroclastic fallout. Threats that arise if an eruption occur is pyroclastic flow, pyroclastic fallout, lava flow, lahar flow, and water of ijen crater. The existance of vulcanic activity of Ijen crater impact positively to the society which live around the Ijen mountain region. Their economy rest on sulphur mining and the soil fertility which is used to potato, cabbage and coffee crop cultivation. If this happen it could be a serious threat for the environment, include the population settled around volcano and along the river upstream in the lake of this crater and is a catastrophe. The disaster can be huge because water volume of large enough crater lake and very acidic, besides the result of explotion such as hot clouds, phreatic eruption in the form of lava eruption is also possible to happen.

Abstract

The difficulties experienced by pre-service social studies teachers in mastering the pedagogical competencies that are essential for quality education are the urgent background for conducting this study. This study analyzes the difficulties of pre-service social sciences teachers in mastering and designing pedagogical competence, which is the essence of teacher quality. Using a qualitative approach and in-depth interviews with 23 UNESA Social Science Education students, this study identified a significant gap between campus theory and field practice. The main difficulties include adjusting materials and methods to diverse student characteristics, limited media and innovative learning resources, selecting appropriate learning methods, classroom management, and compiling comprehensive assessments. The main causal factors are the lack of direct teaching experience, limited PLP time, lack of practical guidance from lecturers, and self-confidence issues. Although lectures have provided a strong theoretical foundation, this provision is not enough to face classroom reality. These findings emphasize that pedagogical competence is applicative and requires intensive practice. Closer integration between theory and practice, improving the quality, duration of PLP, and contextual guidance are needed. Thus, it is hoped that pre-service social sciences teachers can become adaptive, innovative, and effective educators, contributing to improving the quality of national education.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran sangat penting menjadi penentu bagi pendidik bukan hanya sumber belajar pada saat pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share (TPS) mempunyai kelebihan dalam proses pembelajaran akan lebih menarik, karena peserta didik mampu belajar bersama-sama dan mendiskusikan jawabannya sendiri dengan teman sekelompoknya atau saling bertukar pikiran. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share (TPS) berbantuan media gambar dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pra-eksperimental dengan desain one-group pretest - posttest design. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu pre-test dan post-test. Sampel penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling dengan kelas VII-F dengan jumlah 32 peserta didik. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes. Tes tersebut berupa soal uraian. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji-T Sampel berpasangan dan Uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data pre-test memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0, 192 > 0,05 sedangkan data post-test memperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,130 > 0,05, maka data pre-test dan posttest juga dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Uji paired t test mempunyai nilai signifikasi adalah 0,000 < 0,05, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan keterampilan berpikir peserta didik sebelum tes dan sesudah tes dengan diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share (TPS). Perbedaan tersebut ditunjukkan oleh nilai signifikansi kurang dari 0.05 dengan keterampilan berpikir peserta didik meningkat sebesar 55,20 % dari nilai rata-rata N-Gain score yaitu 0,55 yang berarti kategori sedang.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media interaktif scratch dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar literasi ekonomi siswa pada materi perdagangan internasional di kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimental dan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design, yang melibatkan dua kelas yakni kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media interaktif scratch dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa soal pre-test dan post-test digunakan untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain dan uji Independent Sample T-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontol. Penggunaan media interaktif scratch terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar literasi ekonomi siswa, ditandai dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,50 pada kelas eksperimen dan 0,34 pada kelas kontrol. Penggunaan media interaktif scratch mempermudah siswa memahami konsep ekonomi yang abstrak melalui simulasi dan permainan yang interaktif, serta mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Media ini juga berkontribusi dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, dan meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Dengan demikian, media interaktif scratch terbukti efektif dan dapat dijadikan alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran ekonomi, khususnya pada materi perdagangan internasional.

Abstract

Studying abroad has become a strategic option for improving the quality of human resources capable of competing amid the rapid advancement of global technology and knowledge. Taiwan, as a country experiencing significant progress in education, technology, and economic development, has become an attractive study destination for Indonesian students. However, the impacts of this phenomenon indicate a tendency toward cultural assimilation that may lead to shifts in national identity, particularly toward Westernized characteristics. This condition highlights the need to strengthen national identity values among Indonesian students studying overseas. This PKM (Community Service Program) activity aims to provide insights into national identity while reinforcing a sense of pride and nationalism in the midst of global cultural influences. The implementation methods include workshops and sharing sessions with Indonesian students regarding their experiences in dealing with cultural challenges in Taiwan. The activities were conducted in three phases: preparation, implementation, and evaluation followed by follow-up actions. The results show an increased understanding among participants regarding the importance of preserving their identity as Indonesians, as well as the emergence of a commitment to internalize national identity values.
