Abstract

Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan adalah dengan memahami hal-hal yang dapat menunjang kesehatan itu sendiri. Baik pengetahuan buat diri sendiri maupun untuk keluarga dan lingkungan sekitar kita. Kelompok Tani Makmur Desa Pematang Gajah Jambi adalah kelompok yang umumnya merupakan ibu rumah tangga yang mempunyai peran penting dalam keluarga, terutama dalam penjagaan kesehatan anak-anak dan keluarganya. Kegiatan utama umumnya adalah mengurus rumah tangga. Disamping itu, sebagian ada yang mengusahakan usaha home industry sebagai penopang kehidupan keluarga yaitu dengan menanam tanaman sayuran di pekarangan rumah mereka. Kegiatan tersebut belum merupakan kegiatan yang banyak dilakukan oleh ibu-ibu Kelompok Tani Makmur. Hal ini dikarenakan belum dipahaminya bagaimana cara bertanam sayur dengan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan sendiri, baik penanaman dilahan maupun penanaman secara hidroponik dipekarangan sendiri. Disamping itu, belum adanya pemahaman akan pentingnya mengkonsumsi buah dan sayur untuk kesehatan. Melalui pengabdian pada masyarakat (PPM) ini maka tim pengabdian akan membimbing kelompok mitra tentang memberi pengetahuan tentang bagaimana memanfaatkan buah dan sayur serta mengetahui pola makan dan baik untuk menunjang Kesehatan, disamping itu memberi pengetahuan tentang cara penanaman sayur yang baik secara organik dengan pemanfaat mol rebung sebagaai pupuk organik cair. Target untuk Kelompok Tani Makmur Desa Pematang gajah adalah memahami tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan keluarga dengan memanfaatkan sayur dan buah sebagai penyeimbang asam basa tubuh. Selain itu KT Makmur sudah dapat membuat pupuk organik padat dan pupuk organik cair rebung bambu untuk tanaman sayur dipekarangan rumah mereka.

Abstract

Edamame soybeans are a variety of soybeans that act as leaf vegetables that are rich in protein, minerals and vitamins. Edamame soybean cultivation is not yet popular, even though the need and demand is quite large. Eco-enzymes are inputs that play an important role as natural hormones and provide nutrients for plants. Eco-enzyme is an organic product that goes through an anaerobic fermentation process. A decrease in the yield of cultivated plants can be caused by competition with weeds. Several general weed control options have been developed, but appropriate weed control options are needed to ensure production and ecological sustainability. Research was carried out at the Teaching and Research Farm (1°370'129" S, 103°312'0.501"), Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University. The research started in January and ended in March 2023 using a split plot design, as the main plot was the concentration of eco-enzymes and the weed control method was chosen as the sub-plot. The eco-enzyme treatments specified were 0 ml L-1(e1), 10 ml L-1 (e2), and 20 ml L-1 (e3). Weed control treatment consists of 2 (two) weed control methods, namely uprooted and cutting off. The parameters observed were morphological growth (plant height, number of root nodules, leaf chlorophyll content, and flowering time) and yield potential (number of pods, number of filled pods, and fresh weight of pods). The results showed that the differences in eco-enzyme concentration and applied weed control were not significantly different on morphological parameters (plant height, number of root nodules, and chlorophyll content of edamame soybean leaves 5 WAP) and yield potential parameters (number of pods, number of filled pods, and wet weight pods) edamame soybeans 65 DAP. Weed control through uprooting was able to increase the number of pods (4.39%), the number of filled pods (5.08%), and the wet weight of the pods (9.57%).Key words: eco-enzymes, edamame soybeans, weed control

Abstract

Vegetable cultivation using eco-enzyme application is one way to improve its production. The study aimed to evaluate the growth response of pak choi using eco-enzyme in several concentrations and its interval. The experiment used a randomized complete block design with two factors (concentrations and interval of eco-enzyme applications). The results showed that the application of eco-enzyme with a concentration of 30 mL L-1 indicated an optimal growth stimulator in pak choi, but it was not significantly different as compared to 50 mL L-1. The application of eco-enzyme twice a week was able to stimulate plant growth including plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, shoot fresh weight, and root fresh weight. Furthermore, there was a linear correlation between leaf area and plant height, leaf number, shoot fresh weight, and root fresh weight that ranged from weak to strong levels. It is recommended to apply eco-enzyme at a concentration of 30 mL L-1 twice a week for optimal pak choi production. Abstract

Sorghum is one type of cereal plant that has great potential to be developed in Indonesia because it has a wide adaptation area. Sorghum has been known and cultivated for a long time in several regions in Indonesia. The opportunity to increase production through increasing productivity is still very large because up to now the productivity that has been achieved is only 60% of the potential yield of each new variety that has a potential yield of 6 tons / ha. One of the causes of low sorghum production is due to minimum fertilization and nutrient-poor soil. Efforts that can be made to keep crop production balanced will require innovation in the supply of environmentally friendly plant nutrients, one of which is by utilizing bagasse waste into organic fertilizer. The study was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University, Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency which was located at an altitude of 35 m above sea level and Ultisol soil type. The study aimed to determine the effect of bagasse compost on the growth and yield of sorghum and to obtain a dose of bagasse compost that can provide the best growth and yield of sorghum. This study was conducted using a randomized block design (RBD) with one factor, namely the dose of organic bagasse organic fertilizer consisting of 4 levels of treatment. The treatment used in this study was (P0) administration of inorganic fertilizers, (P1) administration of 5 tons / ha bagasse organic fertilizer, (P2) giving 10 tons / ha bagasse organic fertilizer, (P3) giving bagasse organic fertilizer 15 ton / ha. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, age of flowering, root dry weight, plant dry weight, panicle length, seed weight per plant, weight of 1000 seeds, and yield per hectare. The results showed that bagasse compost treatment had a significant effect on plant height. However, there was no significant effect on the number of leaves, age of flowering, root dry weight, dry weight of plants, panicle length, weight of 1000 seeds and dry seed weight of planting and harvest index
