Abstract

Background: Based on 2013 Indonesian Basic Health Research (IBHR), anemia prevalence among pregnant women in Indonesia was still high. Some studies found that knowledge is one of the main factor which affects the consumption of iron tablet among pregnant women. The Pondok Kacang Timur Health Center (Puskesmas Pondok Kacang Timur) in South Tangerang City was selected as our study site due to their coverage on iron tablet consumption was the lowest in the city. South Tangerang City itself is a new city or town located in the southern part of the Jakarta Capital City (DKI Jakarta). Aims: This study aimed to know the association between knowledge about iron tablet and iron tablet consumption among pregnant women in Pondok Kacang, South Tangerang City, Indonesia. Methods: This study was analytical descriptive research with cross-sectional method. It was conducted from 25 July to 20 August 2016. The sample size was calculated using Lemeshow formula so it was obtained a total of 120 formerly pregnant women who currently have infant age of 0 to 6 years old as participants. The data collection was done through interviews using a questionnaire. Results: The study revealed that only 34.2% of respondents took iron tablet as given by health worker during their pregnancy. Mean score of knowledge was 7.8 of 13 questions. It was found that there was a correlation between knowledge and iron tablet consumption. Conclusion: The study suggests to improve knowledge of pregnant women in order to increase their compliance on iron tablet consumption.

Abstract

Pestisida membawa bencana sangat hebat terhadap kesehatan petani dan konsumen akibat mengkonsumsi produk yang mengandung residu. Tujuan penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh pengetahuan, dan sikap terhadap penggunaan pestisida oleh petani padi dan sayur. Desain penelitian menggunakan cross sectional study. Populasi penelitian adalah petani padi dan petani sayur di Desa Ciasihan Kabupaten Bogor. Besar sampel sebanyak 225 petani yang diambil secara purposive, pada Mei sampai Juli 2022. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan cara wawancara dianalisis menggunakan uji ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menemukan petani yang kadang-kadang, tidak pernah dan sering menggunakan pestisida sebagai upaya terakhir pengendalian hama memiliki pengetahuan yang berbeda signifikan dibandingkan dengan kategori lainnya. Petani yang selalu menggunakan pestisida saat mendekati waktu panen memiliki pengetahuan paling rendah dibandingkan dengan yang lainnya. Petani yang selalu menggunakan jenis pestisida sesuai dengan sasaran organisme pengganggu tanaman, dan selalu menggunakan pestisida sebagai upaya terakhir pengendalian hama memiliki sikap yang lebih tinggi dan berbeda signifikan dibandingkan dengan yang lainnya. Secara umum penggunaan pestisida oleh petani belum menunjukan perilaku yang baik. Pengetahuan dan sikap petani menunjukan perbedaan yang signifikan berdasarkan penggunaan pestisida.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that is a major cause of ill health and one of the leading causes of death worldwide. This study aims to analyze the effect of home health on the incidence of tuberculosis in the working area of the Sawangan Health Center, Depok. The design used is case control, to determine the effect of home health on the incidence of tuberculosis. The population in this study were the people in the working area of the Sawangan Public Health Center, Depok. The sample size was 60 respondents, consisting of 30 samples of tuberculosis sufferers and 30 samples as controls. Data were collected by observation, then the results of the study were analyzed using the chi-square test with univariate and bivariate analysis. The significance level uses ? 0.05. The results of the study found a significant effect of the ventilation area, lighting, and humidity of the house on the incidence of tuberculosis. There is no significant effect of the type of floor and the density of the house on the incidence of tuberculosis. The health condition of the house in general influences the incidence of tuberculosis, so that local health workers need to educate the public about creating housing conditions that meet health requirements.

Abstract

The incidence of dysmenorrhea in Indonesia has reached 64.5%, based on a survey conducted at one school in Garut Regency, as many as 60-70% of female students experienced primary dysmenorrhea. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the age of menarche, menstrual cycle, family history, physical activity, frequency of fast food consumption, and history of exposure to cigarette smoke with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea. The method in this research uses cross-sectional with a total sample of 176 samples determined using stratified random sampling by determining probability using probability proportional to size then tested univariately and bivariately using Chi Square with α = 0.05. The results of the study showed that factors associated with the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea included age at menarche, family history, frequency of fast food consumption, physical activity, and history of exposure to cigarette smoke. Meanwhile, the menstrual cycle is not related to the incidence of primary dysmenorrhea. Suggestions that researchers can give include students being more careful and aware of themselves to prevent primary dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

An indication of the body's adequate dietary intake and nutrient use is called nutritional status. Teenagers who are overweight face significant challenges. According to the 2018 West Java Province Health Profile, 10.9% of adolescents aged 16 to 18 were overweight, and 4.5% were obese. The district with the greatest prevalence of overnutrition, Depok, had an 18.1% prevalence. With a population of SMA Sejahtera 1 Depok pupils and a sample of 97 individuals chosen through purposive sampling, this study employed a cross-sectional design. Weight and height measurements were used to measure the dependent study variable, nutritional status, and a questionnaire was used to measure the independent variable. computer software for univariate and bivariate data analysis (Chi-Square test). According to the study's findings, 60.8% of respondents had better nutritional status. The frequency of consuming junk food (p-value = 0.704), modern beverages (p-value = 1.000), and nutritional status are unrelated. The conclusion is that there is no relationship between the frequency of consumption of junk food and the nutritional status of students, but teens who frequently consume junk food and modern beverages are more likely to be overweight or obese. Recommendations for students to focus more on their health and to watch what they eat and drink, avoiding contemporary drinks and junk food too frequently.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Sugar Sweetened Beverages (SSB) atau disebut juga dengan minuman berpemanis adalah suatu minuman yang mengandun zat pemanis berkalori tinggi sebagai salah satu kandungan atau bahan di dalam suatu minuman. Kegemaran remaja dalam mengonsumsi minuman bersoda dapat berdampak pada masalah kesehatan. Maraknya pemasaran produk makanan dan minuman melalui media sosial memberikan pengaruh pemilihan asupan makan pada remaja. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran perilaku konsumsi SSB dan hubungannya dengan aktifitas pada sosial media yang berkaitan dengan makan dan minum pada mahasiswa perkotaan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan disain studi potong lintang. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa perguruan tinggi muhammadiyah yang berada di Jakarta. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik proporsive sampling. Sehingga diperoleh sampel sebesar 134 responden. Pengisian kuesioner dilakukan secara mandiri oleh responden (self-administrated) melalui aplikasi google form. Hasil: Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan perilaku minum minuman berpemanis mayoritas tinggi (55,2%). Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan variable memberikan “LIKE” pada produk minuman berkalori tinggi (p value:0.223), membeli Makanan/Minuman secara daring (Food Delivery) (p value:0.223), melihat Makanan/Minuman yang diiklankan di Sosial Media (pvalue=0.017), Membagikan makanan/Minuman yang diiklankan di berbagai Sosial Media (p value:0.308), mencari dan melihat review terhadap makanan/minuman (p value:0.245), mencari dan melihat review terhadap tempat makan / cafe / restoran (pvalue=0.044), membuat review / konten / postingan terkait makanan / minuman pada media social Anda (p value:0.126). Kesimpulan: Perilaku konsumsi Sugar Sweetened Beverages (SSB) pada mahasiswa perkotaan terkategorikan tinggi. Aktifitas media sosial berupa melihat makanan/minuman yang diiklankan di sosial media dan aktifitas mencari dan melihat review terhadap tempat makan / cafe / restoran berhubungan signifikan dengan perilaku tersebut.
