Abstract

Smoking behavior in adolescents is one of the global problems faced by most countries in the world. The prevalence of smoking among youth aged 10-14 years has increased from 9% in 1995 to 17.4% in 2021. This study aims to determine the distribution of marketing of cigarette products and cigarette advertisements around schools in Badung Regency. Schools were targeted for mapping starting from the elementary, middle and high school/vocational school levels. Cigarette traders and advertisements are carried out by applying a Geographic Information System (GIS). The results showed that most of the observed schools had cigarette sellers around the school. In addition, cigarette advertisements in the form of banners can be found attached to shops or stalls near schools. Cigarette sellers and advertisements are mostly found around Junior High Schools (SMP). The closest distance between cigarette sellers and cigarette advertisements found is 100 meters from the school. The high smoking behavior among young people is related to the density of sales (retail) of cigarettes and the proximity of retail to schools or homes. In addition, cigarette sellers also display attractive tobacco promotions (Tobacco advertisements, promotions and sponsorships/TAPS) at points of sale (Point of Sale/PoS), placed specifically at certain locations and times of purchase. This will increase the chances of smoking initiation among adolescents and hinder smoking cessation efforts for active smokers.

Abstract

Rabies is one of the causes of death in the world. Therefore rabies is a global health problem. In Ubud District, cases of Rabies Transmitting Animal Bites (GHPR) doubled compared to the previous year with the second highest average number of cases in Gianyar Regency. The GHPR case in Ubud does not only affect the local community but also some tourists who stay and vacation in Ubud. If this problem is not addressed it will have a direct impact on the decline of the tourism industry in Ubud. This research aims to obtain an overview of the level of knowledge and prevention behavior of tourists regarding rabies in Ubud as a tourist destination in Bali. This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. The sample for this research was 96 tourists who stayed and vacationed in Ubud, both domestic and international tourists. Data was collected through interviews with questionnaires and measurements then analyzed by univariate. The results of this research show that the majority of tourists already have high knowledge of rabies, namely 65% for international and 63% for domestic. As with knowledge, the majority of tourist prevention behavior is classified as good, namely 79% for international and 73% for domestic. It is recommended that the government and related agencies carry out policy improvements to increase public knowledge regarding changes in health behavior in terms of the use of information media to socialize the dangers of rabies to the public, especially the use of electronic media.

Abstract

The main problem in controlling hypertension in Indonesia is low adherence to treatment hypertension patient. An important effort that is currently being done is to change patient behavior to be more compliant with treatment. Factors that influence medication adherence. It is important that it is studied in full, compiled on a strong theoretical basis and proven scientifically empirical. One of the factors that play an important role in increasing success. Treatment is therapeutic communication between health workers and patients. However, during the syndemy (synergy and pandemic) period of covid-19 with restrictions on interaction hinder the process of therapeutic communication so that there is a need for digital transformation. For Therefore, this study aims to assess the factors of medication adherence, compile and prove digital therapeutic communication models can improve adherence to treatment of hypertensive patients at Ubud Health Center 1, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province. Research implementation consists of 3 stages, namely: 1) Research cross-sectional study with a sample size of 390 hypertensive patients selected by simple random sampling. Data collected by interview using structured questionnaires in selected patient homes; 2) Modeling digital therapeutic communication and 3) Proof of models with quasi-experimental designs using a cluster randomized controlled trial design. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was used for factor analysis of medication adherence and the Poisson regression test was used to test and assess the capabilities of digital therapeutic communication models for improve adherence to treatment of hypertensive patients. Factors that are proven to improve adherence to treatment is a type of communicator (β=0.297), content of the message conveyed (β=0.237) and the type of digital media (whatsapp) used (β=0.443). Therapeutic communication model. Digital is proven to increase medication adherence by 4.1 times (95% CI: 0.845-11.557). It can be concluded that therapeutic communication with WhatsApp media is very effective carried out supported by the ability of the communicator and the content of the message conveyed.
