Abstract

Language has a very close relationship with human thought and culture. Some argue that the relationship of language with thought and culture is a subordinate relationship, i.e. language becomes part of human thought and culture. There are also those who argue that the relationship of language with human thought and culture is a coordinated relationship, i.e. language influences both, or vice versa that thought and culture influence language. Language and culture are two things that will be discussed in this study. Both will be studied through the views of experts on the interpretation and analysis of sura al-Baqarah verses 31-33, surah ar-Raḥmān verses 1-4, and surah Yūsuf verse 2, and various views of linguists. This research is literature research using content analysis techniques to formulate conclusions. The main data of this study is the literature of interpretation and linguistics. The conclusion of the data analysis is that language can be a deal and sometimes it is inspiring, and sometimes it is imitating the sounds of nature. While culture is the result of human thought that is very closely related to language. The relationship between culture and language can be sub-ordinative or coordinated.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the application of the whisper-chain game in learning Arabic listening skills, and the advantages and disadvantages of the whisper-chain game. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of research using case studies. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of this study indicate that the application of the whisper-chain game conducted by the researchers at SMP Darussalam 2 Watukosek Gempol in Arabic listening skills was carried out well and succeeded in increasing the criteria for students' scores in Arabic listening skills. The strengths and weaknesses that exist are not so difficult for students and do not become an obstacle for teachers, so they can still be overcome with teacher performance skills. In each lesson, students were more focused on listening and listening to lessons other than Arabic subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the actualization of the value of defending the state as a mental revolution of students in realizing the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in the era of the Covid 19 pandemic with the Coordinated Management of Meaning (CMM) approach. CMM focuses on the self and its relationship to others, as well as the interpretation of the meaning of a message. State defense that has been carried out by students in the era of 1945 with the current era is very different. Currently, Indonesia is facing a threat in the form of an invisible enemy attack, namely Covid 19. Therefore, students must be present at the forefront in the form of defending their country. The actualization of the basic values ​​of defending the state as a mental revolution for students is very much needed in the era of the Covid 19 pandemic in order to improve the quality of life and contribute to the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Through the actualization of state defense, it is hoped that it will be able to face attacks from the viral phenomenon that threatens the stability of the country. Santri are expected to take an active role in fighting and resolving Covid 19, because santri have moral intellectuals, high militancy, and the spirit of voluntary self-help jihad. This research uses an interpretive-constructivist approach. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative with purposive sampling method in taking the sample. The data collection methods used are in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study are in the form of six levels of the value of defending the state of students as a mental revolution in realizing the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in the era of the Covid 19 pandemic which has been actualized by students.

Abstract

This community service program is carried out in the form of library management assistance based on SLiMS at Darut Taqwa High School, Purwosari Pasuruan. Libraries have an important role in building a learning community, as well as school libraries. The school library is a strategic educational facility, because apart from supporting learning activities. The school library is also one of the barometers of school quality standards. Darut Taqwa High School was chosen as a mentoring partner on the basis that this institution is one of the institutions in Pasuruan Regency that has received an A (excellent) accreditation. However, the quality standard of library administration is still far from the national library standard. This assistance uses the participatory approach. The steps for implementing this assistance are focused on 1) selecting the assisted person, 2) installing the SLiMS application, 3) the SLiMS operation tutorial, and 4) managing the SLiMS-based library. The results of this assistance are 1) the availability of library staff at Darut Taqwa High School who understands SLiMS-based library management, 2) the availability of a SLiMS-based library automation system, 3) the creation of a system for managing library materials, members, and library administration, and 4) the creation of a good library layout that is quite close to the minimum standard of the national library.

Abstract

This community service focuses on equipping assisted subjects with knowledge about the use of PVC pipe waste in the environment. This service program is an actualization of the collaboration that has existed between Yudharta University Pasuruan and Madrasah Aliyah Syamsul Arifin Kraton Pasuruan. This mentoring program uses a service learning approach through three stages including the preparation, service, and reflection stages. The impact of this change in service includes students being able to understand various types of waste and their impact on the environment, being able to make handicrafts using used plastic pipe waste materials, and being able to understand marketing strategies for handicraft products by utilizing existing facilities in the surrounding environment. This service activity is expected to be a pioneer of collaboration between institutions, especially in increasing the creativity and independence of students in various schools in the Pasuruan Regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hafalan mufradat dengan metode drill pada siswa kelas 3 Madrasah Diniyah Al-Hidayah Jembrung Pelem Gempol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan dua siklus. Tahapan pada masing-masing siklus meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurut hasil tes dengan menerapkan metode drill pada siklus I dan siklus II selalu mengalami peningkatan. Jumlah rata-rata nilai pada siklus I adalah 61,11% dan siklus II meningkat menjadi 74,5%.

Abstract

The feasibility of the Arabic textbook is at least assessed from the four aspects imposed by the National Education Standards Agency, namely aspects of language, content, presentation, and graphics. This research examines the content which includes hiwār and qirā'ah aspects in Arabic books published by the Ministry of Religion in 2020 based on the Decree of the Minister of Religion no. 183 2019. The focus of this research is to determine the suitability of the contents of the book with spiritual, social, knowledge and attitude core competencies. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of library research, with primary data in the form of Arabic language textbooks for class VII KMA published in 2020. Data collection techniques were documented, then analyzed using content analysis. The results of this research indicate that there is a match between the contents of the book material and the four core competencies which are the focus of this research.

Abstract

Mufradat adalah himpunan kata atau khazanah kata yang diketahui oleh seseorang atau entitas lain, atau merupakan bagian dari suatu bahasa tertentu. Mufradat di definisikan sebagai himpunan semua kata-kata yang dimengerti oleh orang tersebut dan kemungkinan akan digunakan untuk menyusun sebuah kalimat baru. Penguasaan siswa pada pembelajaran mufradat merupakan masalah pokok atau sentral yang harus ditangani secara intensif agar siswa mampu dalam menguasai kosakata (mufradat). Oleh karena itu multimedia based learning akan menjadi pemecah masalah tersebut.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah, (1) mengetahui penerapan Multimedia Based Learning terhadap penguasaan Mufradat. (2) mengetahui pengaruh Multimedia Based Learning terhadap penguasaan Mufradat siswa kelas X MA Ya-Ikhsan Andonosari Tutur.Pendekatan yang digunakan oleh peneliti dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental one group pretest posttest. Sedangkan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes, wawancara, dan observasi.Dari hasil penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa pembelajaran mufradat menggunakan multimedia based learning memiliki signifikan yang tinggi dalam mengingkatkan penguasaan mufradat siswa. Hal ini didasarkan pada hasil akhir uji paired samples test memiliki hasil nilai signifikansi kurang dari 0,05 yaitu Sig.(0,000) < 0,05 sehingga H₀ ditolak, maka H₁ diterima. Dalam artian, penerapan multimedia based learning memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penguasaan mufradat siswa kelas X MA Ya-Ikhsan Andonosari Tutur, hal ini dapat diketahui berdasarkan perbedaan hasil nilai yang signifikan antara sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan setelah diberikan perlakuan penerapan multimedia based learning.

Abstract

Education has been one of the most affected sectors since the corona pandemic. Like many countries affected, the Indonesian government has taken several precautions needed to reduce the spread of the virus. This causes obstacles in all educational activities, especially in the teaching and learning process. This article aims to illustrate assistance in redesigning learning model in this pandemic period by applying an online service-learning approach. The results show that educators are given many choices of online media that can be used for the teaching and learning processes, ranging from social media (WhatsApp and Facebook), learning management systems media (google classroom, Edmodo), and video conferencing (Zoom, google meet). In redesigning this learning model, educators mostly used WhatsApp as the main media in delivering the material in online classes, while the Google Classroom LMS media was used for managing the students' assignments
