Abstract

This research aims to develop interactive learning media, especially digital flipbooks, to overcome learning loss in history learning. The research method involves the stages of needs analysis, design creation, media development, media testing, and evaluating its impact on student understanding. The research subjects in this study consisted of 12 expert validators with 3 experts each for each aspect. Expert validators are selected based on their expertise in the fields of learning, historical materials, media and language. Apart from that, this research also involved 50 Pertiwi Medan Private High School students who were randomly selected to assess the media produced. Data was collected by interviews and distributing questionnaires. Data analysis involves comparing test results using paired t-tests. The research results show that the digital flipbook media developed is valid for use in overcoming learning loss. The t test results show a significance value of 0.000, which means there is a difference in scores before and after using digital flipbook media. The conclusion of this research shows that the development of digital flipbook learning media has great potential in overcoming learning loss in history learning and has a significant positive impact on student learning outcomes.Keywords: Digital flipbook, Learning Loss, History Learning.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of teacher support and self-efficacy in influencing student engagement in the Mas Tahfizhil Quran education program. Student engagement is an important factor in the success of tahfizh programs, but the factors that influence it are not yet fully understood. Quantitative research methods were used by collecting data through questionnaires distributed to Mas Tahfizhil Quran students. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistical techniques and regression to evaluate the relationship between the variables studied. The results showed that teacher support had a significant influence on student engagement in the tahfizh program, with strong support from teachers tending to increase the level of student engagement. Apart from that, students' self-efficacy is also proven to have a significant impact on the level of engagement, where students with better self-efficacy tend to be more involved in learning activities. This research provides a better understanding of the factors that influence student engagement in the Mas Tahfizhil Quran education program, as well as practical implications for increasing the effectiveness of the program through increasing teacher support and fostering student self-efficacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada pembelajaran sejarah kelas X di SMA Swasta Dharmawangsa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru sejarah telah menerapkan strategi pembelajaran berbasis proyek, diskusi kelompok, dan studi kasus untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Namun, implementasi masih terkendala oleh keterbatasan fasilitas teknologi, kesiapan guru, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep pembelajaran mandiri. Upaya yang dilakukan sekolah meliputi penyediaan perangkat digital, pelatihan guru, dan bimbingan belajar tambahan bagi siswa. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui penilaian proyek, reflektif, dan proses, namun masih memerlukan penguatan agar lebih relevan dengan materi sejarah. Dengan optimalisasi fasilitas dan peningkatan kompetensi guru, implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sejarah.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji respons masyarakat Asia Tenggara terhadap kedatangan kekuatan kolonial Barat antara abad ke-16 hingga abad ke-20, yang membentuk ulang otoritas politik, struktur ekonomi, dan kehidupan sosial di kawasan tersebut. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah beragamnya reaksi yang ditunjukkan oleh para penguasa tradisional dan masyarakat lokal terhadap dominasi Barat yang mengancam kedaulatan dan mengganggu sistem yang sudah ada. Melalui tinjauan pustaka, penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi deskriptif kualitatif dan bersumber dari buku-buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan catatan sejarah mengenai ekspansi kolonial serta perlawanan masyarakat pribumi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respons Asia Tenggara sangat bervariasi. Beberapa pemimpin, seperti Raja Mongkut dari Siam, memilih modernisasi dan diplomasi untuk mempertahankan kemerdekaan negara mereka, sementara yang lain memilih perlawanan melalui konflik bersenjata atau gerakan sosial berbasis agama, seperti gerakan Katipunan di Filipina dan pemberontakan Banten di Indonesia. Eksploitasi ekonomi, pajak yang memberatkan, perampasan tanah, dan runtuhnya sistem tradisional menjadi penyebab utama meletusnya pemberontakan petani. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk perlawanan tersebut menjadi dasar munculnya kesadaran nasionalisme dan gerakan kemerdekaan pada abad ke-20.

Abstract

This study examines how nationalism developed in Southeast Asia by examining the background to its emergence, the driving factors, and the formation of nation-states in several countries, including the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Indochina, and the Malay Peninsula. In this region, nationalism emerged as a response to Western colonialism, which influenced politics, economics, society, and culture. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach based on literature, this research demonstrates the differences in nationalist movements influenced by the social structure, education, and colonial dynamics in each country. The results of this study confirm that nationalism in Southeast Asia has specific characteristics in each country, but is generally driven by injustices resulting from colonialism, advances in modern education, and the rise of national consciousness in the early 20th century.
