Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Simplified Data Encryption System (SDES) simulation on student learning outcomes in Cryptography lessons. The research employed a quasi-experiment. Data analysis to test the SDES simulation model was performed using ANOVA 2x2. The U-Mann Whitney Test was chosen to examine differences in student learning outcomes of treatment groups and control groups, while the effectiveness of the media is determined by differences in student learning outcomes between the pre-test and post-test results in the two groups. The test results show that: (1) There is a difference between the treatment group and control group, indicated by the U-Mann Whitney Test result (Ucount = 15 Utable = 23; α = 0.05), which means there is a difference of student learning outcome between students given learning by DES simulation media and those by PowerPoints Media. (2) There is a difference in the cryptography learning outcomes for the students with the high initial ability between the treatment group and the control group. The test result is Ucount = 0.5 Utable = 2; at α = 0.05. (3) There is no difference in student learning outcomes for low initial ability student groups using the DES simulation media, with high ability students group using PowerPoints Media; the statistical test results show Ucount = 11 Utable = 2; at α = 0.05. This study concludes that using U-Mann Whitney, it can prove that the SDES simulation model developed is effective for improving student learning outcomes in Cryptography lessons.

Abstract

Abstract The rapid advancement of information technology and telecommunications has caused Internet of Things (IoT) technology to be increasingly developed and utilized in various activities and tasks at the home, office, school, industry, and others. 24-hour connectivity and various automation features make IoT an effective way to remotely monitor and manage jobs. In the context of learning in Vocational High Schools (SMK), ideally, the use of IoT technology applications is taught by teachers in the field of industrial electronics expertise. The uneven understanding and technical skills of teachers about the application of IoT technology is one of the factors that have not updated the ability of vocational students with IoT technology information. From these problems, the solution offered is to provide technical knowledge and skills to teachers about the use of IoT using a microcontroller so that they can teach it to students. The workshop/training was conducted online which was attended by 20 (twenty) teachers from several vocational schools in the Jakarta, Bekasi, Cibinong, and Bogor areas. In this workshop, theoretical and practical learning about the use of IoT technology is given. The material taught is the development of IoT, the use of the ESP32 IoT development board, and some practical examples using the ESP32 board. In this workshop, IoT learning e-modules (theory and practice) were also distributed which can be used by teachers for independent learning and as teaching materials in SMK. From the workshop, an overview of the understanding and technical skills of teachers regarding IoT technology was obtained which still needs to be improved. The participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the IoT workshop because they got new and useful information and knowledge to improve their competence in the field of industrial electronics technology. The usefulness of this workshop was felt by the participants who gave a positive impression of the material taught by the instructor/lecturer. Abstrak Pesatnya kemajuan teknologi informasi dan telekomunikasi, menyebabkan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) makin berkembang dan dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai kegiatan dan tugas di rumah, kantor, sekolah, industri, dan lainnya. Konektivitas 24 jam serta berbagai fitur otomasi menjadikan IoT sebagai cara efektif untuk memantau dan mengelola berbagai pekerjaan dari jarak jauh. Dalam konteks pembelajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), maka idealnya pemanfaatan aplikasi teknologi IoT diajarkan oleh para guru bidang keahlian elektronika industri. Belum meratanya pemahaman dan keterampilan teknis guru tentang aplikasi teknologi IoT, menjadi salah satu faktor belum ter-update nya kemampuan siswa SMK dengan informasi teknologi IoT. Dari permasalahan tersebut maka solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknik kepada guru tentang pemanfaatan IoT menggunakan mikrokontroler sehingga dapat mengajarkannya kepada siswa. Workshop/pelatihan dilaksanakan secara daring yang diikuti peserta guru dari beberapa SMK di wilayah Jakarta, Bekasi, Cibinong dan Bogor sebanyak 20 (dua puluh) orang. Dalam workshop ini diberikan pembelajaran teori dan praktikum tentang pemanfaatan teknologi IoT. Materi yang diajarkan adalah perkembangan IoT, pemanfaatan ESP32 IoT development board, dan beberapa contoh praktikum menggunakan ESP32 board. Dalam workshop ini juga dibagikan e-modul pembelajaran IoT (teori dan praktik) yang dapat digunakan para guru untuk pembelajaran mandiri dan sebagai bahan ajar di SMK. Dari workshop tersebut didapatkan gambaran terkait pemahaman dan keterampilan teknis para guru tentang teknologi IoT yang masih perlu ditingkatkan. Para peserta sangat antusias mengikuti workshop IoT karena mendapatkan informasi dan pengetahuan yang baru dan berguna untuk meningkatkan kompetensinya di bidang teknologi elektronika industri. Kebermanfaatan workshop ini dirasakan sekali oleh para peserta yang memberikan kesan positif dari materi yang diajarkan oleh instruktur/narasumber.

Abstract

Doorstop train is one of the developments in the world of transportation homeland of progress being made in advance of this is to wear the wall as a barrier. This system is just a small prototype that describes an application for a train that moves automatically, compared to the actual implementation of the system is still far from the real state. This system has several theories include using the Arduino Uno microcontroller, sensors, stepper motors and power supply. The purpose of this tool is to reduce accidents, to prevent users from breaking through latch rail vehicle and that the driver does not slip on the sleepers. Palang pintu kereta api merupakan salah satu perkembangan di dunia transportasi tanah air terlebih dari perkembangan yang dilakukan ini yaitu memakai dinding sebagai penghalang. Sistem ini hanyalah sebuah prototipe kecil yang menggambarkan sebuah aplikasi untuk kereta api yang bergerak ini secara otomatis, dibandingkan penerapan sesungguhnya system masih jauh dari keadaan sesungguhnya. Sistem ini mempunyai beberapa teori diantaranya adalah mikrokontroler dengan menggunakan Arduino Uno, sensor, motor stepper dan juga power supply. Tujuan pembuatan alat ini adalah untuk mengurangi kecelakaan, untuk mencegah pengguna kendaraan menerobos palang pintu kereta dan agar pengendara tidak terpeleset di bantalan rel.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop teachers' skills in conducting research on the learning environment as a reflection to create a positive classroom emotional climate. The teacher conducts research to analyze students' perceptions of emotions in the learning environment. This research is based on community service activities for teachers related to emotions in the learning environment. The activity involved 48 teachers, of which 14 teachers carried out survey research involving 1049 students from the junior and senior high school levels. The research conducted by the teacher used a survey with the Classroom Emotional Climate (CEC) instrument consisting of nine dimensions, namely Care, Control, Clarity, Challenge, Motivation, Consolidation, Collaboration, Attitude, and Behavior. Almost all dimensions get positive student responses with high (3.41-4.20) and very high (4.21-5.00) classifications. Teachers who are involved in conducting research, have implemented good emotional management. The results of reflection on student perceptions have helped teachers to carry out learning and manage interactions to create positive learning. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan guru dalam melakukan penelitian lingkungan pembelajaran sebagai refleksi untuk menciptakan iklim emosional kelas yang positif. Guru melakukan penelitian untuk menganalisis persepsi siswa terkait emosi dalam lingkungan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini berdasarkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kepada guru-guru terkait emosi dalam lingkungan pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian melibatkan 48 guru, yang selanjutnya sebanyak 14 guru melaksanakan penelitian survey yang melibatkan 1049 siswa dari level SMP dan SMA. Penelitian yang dilakukan guru menggunakan survet dengan instrumen Classroom Emotional Climate (CEC) yang terdiri dari sembilan dimensi yaitu Care, Control, Clarity, Challenge, Motivation, Consolidation, Collaboration, Attitude, dan Behaviour. Hampir seluruh dimensi mendapatkan respon siswa yang positif dengan klasifikasi tinggi (3.41-4.20) dan sangat tinggi (4.21-5.00). Guru yang terlibat dalam melaksanakan penelitian, telah melaksanakan pengelolaan emosi kelas yang baik. Hasil refleksi terhadap persepsi siswa telah membantu guru untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran dan mengelola interaksi untuk menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang positif.

Abstract

Abstract The development of legal regulations with the enactment of Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE) has accommodated electronic evidence including closed circuit television (CCTV) recordings which can be used as evidence in court. In many educational institutions/agencies such as schools/madrasas/campuses, many CCTVs are installed to monitor the situation inside the classroom, outside the classroom and around the school. The phenomenon of the widespread installation of CCTV cameras in schools makes it important to have CCTV installation, maintenance and repair skills for teachers, technicians or school laboratory assistants. In addition, CCTV skills can also be taught to students of the electronics engineering expertise program as part of the additional technical expertise that vocational students need to have. The method of implementing Community Service is in the form of online (online) training by providing CCTV installation and maintenance training to teachers/laborers/technicians located at SMKN 2 Bekasi City. The number of participants who attended were 27 people according to the set target. All participants take part full-time in each training session and contribute to discussions via zoom meetings. The evaluation results show that after participating in this training the participants are able to use electronic measuring instruments, install at least 1 CCTV and understand the technicalities of maintaining and repairing CCTV. Abstrak Perkembangan regulasi hukum dengan berlakunya UU No.11 tahun 2008 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (UU ITE) telah mengakomodasi alat bukti elektronik termasuk diantaranya hasil rekaman Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) yang dapat dijadikan sebagai alat bukti di persidangan. Di banyak instansi/lembaga pendidikan seperti sekolah/madrasah/kampus, CCTV banyak dipasang untuk memantau situasi di dalam kelas, di luar kelas maupun di sekitar sekolah. Fenomena maraknya pemasangan kamera CCTV di sekolah menjadikan keterampilan pemasangan, perawatan dan perbaikan CCTV penting dimiliki oleh guru, teknisi atau laboran sekolah. Selain itu keterampilan tentang CCTV dapat pula diajarkan kepada para siswa program keahlian teknik elektronika sebagai bagian keahlian teknik tambahan yang perlu dimiliki oleh siswa SMK. Metode pelaksanaan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berupa pelatihan online (daring) dengan memberikan pelatihan pemasangan dan perawatan CCTV kepada guru/laboran/teknisi yang bertempat SMKN 2 Kota Bekasi. Jumlah peserta yang hadir sebanyak 27 orang sesuai target yang ditetapkan. Seluruh peserta mengikuti penuh waktu setiap sesi pelatihan dan memberikan kontribusi dalam diskusi via zoom meeting. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini peserta mampu menggunakan alat ukur elektronika, memasang minimal 1 buah CCTV dan memahami teknis merawat dan memperbaiki CCTV.

Abstract

The community service workshop aimed to develop the teachers' professionalism in creating a positive classroom emotional climate. Teachers need to take effective action to improve the quality of structured learning which can be done by improving their professionalism in influencing a positive classroom climate. 48 teachers from SMA Tambun Bekasi participated in this community service workshop. The methodology used in the research included presentations, informative discussion, demonstration, exercise, and practice which were carried out through four main stages. The four main stages were introduction, implementation, guidance, and evaluation. This study used the Classroom Emotional Climate (CEC) instrument. The CEC instrument consists of nine dimensions, namely caring, control, clarity, challenge, motivation, consolidation, collaboration, learning attitudes, and behavioral emotion regulation. After participating in the workshop, the teachers were able to implement what they have learned from the workshop to improve the positive emotional classroom climate of their classroom. Moreover, they have also conducted an evaluation using the CEC instrument taught in the workshop.
