Abstract

ABSTRAKAntena Vivaldi merupakan salah satu jenis antena yang diimplementasikan pada radar penembus permukaan (Ground Penetrating Radar, GPR). GPR adalah salah satu metode non-destructive testing yang biasa digunakan untuk mengetahui kondisi beton/jalan raya. Penelitian ini merancang sebuah antena Vivaldi untuk digunakan pada GPR dengan frekuensi kerja 1 GHz – 2 GHz. Metode yang digunakan untuk merancang dan mengoptimasi antena Vivaldi adalah dengan mengubah beberapa parameter untuk mencapai spesifikasi yang diinginkan. Parameter tersebut antara lain lebar antena, panjang antena dan tapered slot. Optimasi yang dilakukan tetap memperhatikan pola radiasi antena agar tetap terarah. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan antena Vivaldi dengan dimensi 350x300 mm dengan return loss di bawah -10 dB pada rentang frekuensi 1 GHz – 2 GHz. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa perubahan nilai parameter lebar antena dan tapered slot menggeser frekuensi kerja antena secara signifikan.Kata kunci: Ground Penetrating Radar, Vivaldi, return loss, parameter antena ABSTRACTThe Vivaldi antenna is one type of antenna that is implemented on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). The method that used to design and optimize Vivaldi antennas is by changing several parameters to achieve the desired specifications. These parameters include antenna width, antenna length and tapered slot. Optimization carried out still observes the radiation pattern of the antenna to keep it directed. The results showed that 350 x 300 mm antennas with return loss below -10 dB in the frequency range of 1 GHz - 2 GHz. Abstract

This paper deals with the prediction method using hidden Markov model (HMM) for rain rate and rain propagation attenuation for K-band satellite communication link at tropical area. As is well known, the K-band frequency is susceptible of being affected by atmospheric condition, especially in rainy condition. The wavelength of K-band frequency which approaches to the size of rain droplet causes the signal strength is easily attenuated and absorbed by the rain droplet. In order to keep the quality of system performance for K-band satellite communication link, therefore a special attention has to be paid for rain rate and rain propagation attenuation. Thus, a prediction method for rain rate and rain propagation attenuation based on HMM is developed to process the measurement data. The measured and predicted data are then compared with the ITU-R recommendation. From the result, it is shown that the measured and predicted data show similarity with the model of ITU-R P.837-5 recommendation for rain rate and the model of ITU-R P.618-10 recommendation for rain propagation attenuation. Meanwhile, statistical data for measured and predicted data such as fade duration and interfade duration have insignificant discrepancy with the model of ITU-R P.1623-1 recommendation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to implement a Raspberry Pi server-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service in a small office using the G.711, G.722 and Opus codecs where these codecs do not have a license (free) and have been integrated in various softphones and to see the sound quality resulting from the communication carried out and to see the quality, voice compression (codec) which is the most appropriate / stable on the Wireless LAN network. In testing this VoIP network using G.722, G.711, and Opus audio codecs based on signal strength (RSSI) on the Wireless LAN network as data to be analyzed using the MOS E-Model ITU-T G.107 method. Call testing is done 10 times on each codec. The average delay is 20,507 ms for the G.722 codec, 20,435 ms for the G.711 codec and 20,492 ms for the Opus codec. The average packet loss was 0.711% for G.722 codec, 0.870% for G.711 codec and 1.427% for Opus codec. Based on the results of calculations using the E-Model ITU-T G.107 MOS method, the average yield is 4,155 for the G.722 codec, 4,133 for the G.711 codec and 4.059 for the Opus codec. Based on the results of calculations using the MOS E-Model method, it is generally found that the G.722 codec has better quality than the three codecs tested, because it is more resistant to packet loss based on signal strength (RSSI) received by each client so that the R Factor conversion to MOS yields the highest average MOS value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze fiber optic networks for SCADA communication networks. The method used takes into account variables such as signal quality, fiber optic attenuation, and interference data on fiber optic networks in SCADA communication systems. The device required in this study is an OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflector). From the results of this study's analysis, the initial activation measurements still require repairs to the fiber optic cable at several points to meet the standards applied at PT. Indonesia Comnets Plus. On the DUrikosambi-Kembangan link, the measurement results after repairs using an OTDR have an average attenuation of 2.399 dB and an average attenuation value from the link power budget calculation of 4.673 dB. From the results of attenuation measurements using an OTDR on both links, there are differences in attenuation values ​​in each core, indicating a decrease in the quality of the link.

Abstract

Pneumatics learning in vocational schools during the pandemic faced challenges due to limited hands-on practice. Augmented Reality (AR) is expected to be an interactive learning media solution that can increase student motivation and understanding. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model through the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Validation was carried out by experts in material, media, and instructional design, as well as individual and small group trials on 11th-grade Industrial Electronics Engineering students. The developed AR media received a "very feasible" category from the experts and a positive response from students with an average feasibility score above 80%. The use of AR was also proven to help students visualize the components and workings of pneumatic systems more realistically. These results indicate that AR-based learning media has great potential for widespread implementation in vocational education.

Abstract

Abstract Smartphone use by children has become an increasing phenomenon along with technological advances. On the one hand, smartphones can be an effective educational tool, facilitating access to information, learning applications, and improving digital skills. However, on the other hand, excessive use can cause negative impacts such as impaired concentration, decreased physical activity, limited social interaction, and the risk of exposure to inappropriate content. In addition, long-term screen exposure is associated with health problems such as sleep disorders and eye fatigue. Therefore, the role of parents and educators is very important in limiting and supervising smartphone use, and ensuring that its use is carried out wisely and according to the child's developmental needs. As a partner in the Community Service program with the Faculty of Engineering, UNJ, Muara Gembong is one of the sub-districts with a fairly large child population, which is around 30% of the total population. Therefore, the Community Service Team provided training on the use of Family Link as a tool so that parents can supervise and control smartphone use in children. After being given training, participants' knowledge regarding the positive and negative impacts of cellphone use and knowledge regarding applications to supervise smartphone use in children increased from 57.14% to 85.71%. Keywords: Smartphone, Family Link, Monitoring, Children, Muara Gembong Abstrak Penggunaan telepon pintar oleh anak-anak telah menjadi fenomena yang semakin meningkat seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi. Di satu sisi, telepon pintar dapat menjadi alat edukasi yang efektif, memfasilitasi akses terhadap informasi, aplikasi pembelajaran, serta meningkatkan keterampilan digital. Namun, di sisi lain, penggunaan yang berlebihan dapat menyebabkan dampak negatif seperti gangguan konsentrasi, penurunan aktivitas fisik, interaksi sosial yang terbatas, serta risiko paparan konten yang tidak sesuai. Selain itu, paparan layar dalam jangka waktu panjang dikaitkan dengan masalah kesehatan seperti gangguan tidur dan kelelahan mata. Oleh karena itu, peran orang tua dan pendidik sangat penting dalam membatasi dan mengawasi penggunaan telepon pintar, serta memastikan bahwa penggunaannya dilakukan dengan bijaksana dan sesuai kebutuhan perkembangan anak. Sebagai mitra dalam program Pengabdian pada Masyarakat dengan Fakultas Teknik UNJ, Muara Gembong merupakan salah satu kecamatan dengan populasi anak yang cukup banyak yaitu sekitar 30% dari total penduduk. Oleh karenaya Tim Pengabdian pada Masyarakat memberikan pelatihan penggunaan Family Link sebagai tools agar orang tua dapat mengawasi dan mengontrol penggunaan telepon pintar pada anak. Setelah diberikan pelatihan, pengetahuan peserta mengenai dampak positif dan dampak negatif penggunaan HP serta pengetahuan mengenai aplikasi untuk mengawasi penggunaan telepon pintar pada anak mengalami peningkatan dari 57,14% menjadi 85,71%. Abstract

Sistem Transfer Daya Wireless merupakan sistem yang digunakan untuk memanfaatkan energi elektromagnetik yang tersebar bebas di udara dengan mengolah sumber energi untuk mengisi daya pada perangkat elektronik berdaya rendah. Salah satu sumber energi yang mudah diperoleh karena ketersediaannya yang cukup melimpah adalah access point (Wi-Fi). Rectenna adalah perangkat yang dapat digunakan untuk mengubah gelombang elektromagnetik di udara menjadi arus listrik searah. Rectenna terdiri dari antena dan rangkaian penyearah (rectifier). Antena digunakan untuk menangkap gelombang elektromagnetik yang dipancarkan oleh sumber RF. Daya yang dierima oleh antena akan diteruskan ke rangkaian rectifer, untuk diubah menjadi arus listrik searah (DC). Penelitian bertujuan untuk merancang, membuat, dan mengukur parameter rangkaian rectifier pada rectenna yang mampu bekerja pada jangkauan frekuensi 2,45 GHz. Setelah dirancang dari hasil simulasi menggunakan software ADS 2011didapatkan frekuensi kerja 2,449 GHz, output voultage 2,027 Volt, Return S11(Return Loss) -34,87, dan VSWR 1,037. Pada hasil pengukuran pada signal generator pada frekuensi 2,45 GHz didapatkan output voltage dengan input -5 dBm sebesar 54,8 mV, S11 (Return Loss) sebesar -10,416 dB, dan VSWR sebesar 1,862. Hasil pengukuran kedua dengan menggunakan access point Wi-Fi pada jarak 5 cm didapatkan output voltage sebesar 2,066 Volt, sedangkan pada jarak 20 cm didapat output voltage sebesar 0,092 mV.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the best internet network quality in the one-stage and two-stage Fiber to The Home network by knowing the FTTH network parameters, the parameters used are Link Power Budget, Bit Error Rate (BER), Q-Factor, and Quality of Service (QoS). In analyzing an FTTH network, it uses a qualitative content analysis method. The results show that the single-stage network is better when viewed from the manual calculation of total attenuation, but the attenuation results can also be with those in the field. The results of the manual calculation of the link power budget of the two stages to get a downlink of -22.98088dBm and uplink to get -23.7436dBm. The results of the manual calculation of the link power budget for one stage for downlink are -22.90088dBm and uplink are -23.6636dBm.

Abstract

The research aims to develop comic learning media in the Optical Communication System course for students of the Electronic Engineering Education Study Program, State University of Jakarta, as well as to test the feasibility level based on material experts, media experts and students. This study uses the Research and Development (RnD) method with the Hannafin and Peck model which includes; 1) requirements analysis, 2) design, 3) development and implementation. The results of the development of comic learning media in the Optical Communication System course are used in Standard, Architecture and Power Calculation materials for GPON, GPON Backhaul for LTE/LTE-A, and GPON as 5G Backhaul. The results of research and development are 1) comic learning media in the Optical Communication System course for students of the Electronic Engineering Education Study Program UNJ which has been developed based on the Research and Development (RnD) method with the Hannafin and Peck model. The resulting product is a web comic into 43 pages and can be accessed at https://fliphtml5.com/crfdj/oteq. 2) The results of the feasibility test by material experts obtained an assessment percentage of 81.6%, meaning that the product was very feasible. 3) The results of the feasibility test by media experts obtained an assessment percentage of 95.6%, meaning that the product was very feasible. 4) field trials to students of the Electronic Engineering Education Study Program UNJ in the Optical Communication System course obtained an assessment percentage of 85%. Based on the feasibility category, it can be concluded that the comic learning media developed in the Optical Communication System course can be categorized as very feasible to be used as learning media
