Abstract

To keep fish in the traditional ponds, the fish farmers must understand about the water circulation and pond irrigation, so that monitoring the volume of water also needs to be done because the amount of water volume in ponds became important factor in the maintenance of bandeng fish or shrimp. A water monitoring based sms gateway can help the farmers to control the pond water height from long distance without having to check periodically.

Abstract

Untuk memelihara ikan di tambak tradisional, para pembudidaya ikan harus memahami tentang sirkulasi air dan irigasi tambak, sehingga pemantauan volume air juga perlu dilakukan karena jumlah volume air di tambak menjadi faktor penting dalam pemeliharaan ikan bandeng atau udang.SMS gateway berbasis pemantauan air dapat membantu petani untuk mengontrol ketinggian air kolam dari jarak jauh tanpa harus memeriksa secara berkala.

Abstract

On the ship there is accommodation room that is used as a residence for the crew. Ship accommodation room generally consists of bedrooms, sanitary rooms, dining rooms, warehouses, the wheelhouse, and others. The construction of ship accommodation room must meet user safety and comfort standards. Alternative materials that can be used in the construction of ship accommodation room are bio-based insulation materials. Banana stem is a material that has the potential to be developed into bio-based insulations. In this research, a bonding method will be conducted by combining the banana stem with polyurethane. The results of this study are a tendency to decrease the thermal conductivity of bio-based insulation materials on the mass variation of banana stem.

Abstract

The accommodation room on the ship is used as a resting place for the crew and as a storage place for goods on the ship so insulation is needed in each room to withstand the heat propagation on the ship. One type of insulation material on a ship is mineral wool which is made from polyurethane. Polyurethane is a plastic foam that is a mixture of polyol and isocynate and one of the ingredients is polymer which can be obtained from natural materials that contain lots of cellulose such as bagasse and sawdust. the addition of sawdust and bagasse that can be done is 40% of the total volume of the mixture. Then it is carried out to get the thermal conductivity value of each mixture of sawdust, bagasse, and polyurethane with various dosing ratios on the sawdust, to further calculate the cooling load. The test results show the best conductivity value is the mixing of wood powder 0.2 gr which is 2.65 w / mk which can withstand the rate of heat up to 311.59 KW.

Abstract

The quality of freshness of fish caught by traditional fishermen must be maintained, one way is by adding coolbox insulation so that it can insulate heat on fishing boats. So far, fishermen use sterofoam as a temperature barrier to maintain the freshness of the fish. The use of sterofoam can pollute the environment. In this research, water hyacinth composite fiber and coconut fiber are used to manufacture coolbox insulation to replace sterofoam as a coolbox insulation material on fishing boats. Water hyacinth powder and dry coconut fibers are mixed into polyurethane with a mass percentage of 40% and 50% which will be compared with pure polyurethare, testing is then carried out to obtain the lowest temperature time and temperature data. The test results show that the percentage of 60% polyurethane and 40% of water hyacinth powder and coconut fiber has an insulation power closer to pure polyurethane with a resistance time of 690 minutes with the lowest temperature of -3 ° C.

Abstract

The piping system is used as a fluid transfer that is in the form of gas or liquid. In fluid flow it depends on pressure and velocity. Mathematical depiction of fluid can be seen from a straight line pattern. These patterns will form a corresponding flow nets. As a depiction of fluid flow in accordance with the shape of the pipe in the piping system and its velocity, it can be done by several methods, one of which is the finite difference method, this method includes mathematical and physical methods, where mathematical modeling can explain the physical properties of a fluid in a pipe. From this research, two variations of pipe shape were obtained, namely the straight pipe shape and the widening pipe shape, from the results obtained. That the fluid flow equation can be visualized in a mathematical way from the physical equation in a fluid.

Abstract

CAPTCHA refer to Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. CAPTCHA are used to ensure that the operators are human not robots. The basic idea of using CAPTCHA is segmentation and recognition. Random characters, graphic images, or CAPTCHA audio become possible solutions to improve security and resilience for protection systems. In this paper used CAPTCHA random characters. However the CAPTCHA text needs to be analyzed again whether it is still solved by the computer or not it needs to be analyzed, improved, and developed to avoid automatic interference. Data set of text CAPTCHA paypal or so-called paypal HIP with 20 pieces of training data to get the template as much as 36 images that is from the numbers 0-9 and the letter A-Z. This particular paypal HIP data is limited by not using numbers 0 and 1 with the letters O and Q because of the similarity between the data. The method used starts from pre-processing, segmentation, and classification. Pre-processing techniques used consist of removing noise by tresholding and using cleaning techniques. We use bounding box and padding for segmentation method. And then for classification used counting pixel, vertical projections, horizontal projections, dan template correlation. By using these methods will be known which method can recognize CAPTCHA text accurately so as to affect the robustness of the CAPTCHA text.

Abstract

Industri perkapalan tidak akan lepas dari proses pengelasan karena dalam proses pembangunan kapal baru atau perbaikan kapal lama, proses pengelasan akan dibutuhkan untuk menyambung bagian-bagian yang ada di kapal. Kompetensi juru las merupakan faktor penting karena kapal tidak hanya digunakan untuk mengangkut material tetapi juga manusia, sehingga kualitas hasil pengelasan menjadi faktor yang harus diperhatikan. Seorang juru las yang kompeten dibuktikan dengan sertifikat kompetensi. Biaya sertifikasi kompetensi proses SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) untuk posisi 1G (flat) masih cukup mahal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan mesin las Augmented Reality (AR) dengan membandingkan hasil proses SMAW posisi 1G (flat) untuk juru las pemula (tiga mahasiswa semester II) sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan mesin las AR . Material yang digunakan untuk pengelasan adalah baja karbon A-36 dengan ketebalan 10 mm dan sudut alur 70°. Juru las akan melakukan pengelasan dengan mesin las AR untuk proses SMAW posisi 1G dalam tiga tingkat kesulitan (pemula, menengah, dan lanjutan). Juru las dinyatakan memenuhi syarat ketika mereka telah melewati ketiga tingkat kesulitan pada mesin las AR. Hasil pengelasan juru las sebelum menggunakan mesin las AR menunjukkan hasil uji penetrant yang tidak memenuhi standar ASME Section VIII Mandatory Appendix 8. Hasil uji penetrant pada hasil pengelasan proses SMAW untuk 1G (flat ) posisi setelah menggunakan mesin las AR menunjukkan dua mahasiswa telah berhasil memenuhi standar akseptabilitas dan satu mahasiswa masih belum memenuhi tetapi hasil pengelasan lebih baik dari sebelum menggunakan mesin las AR.

Abstract

Waduk Klampis berada di Kabupaten Sampang yang berlokasi di Kec. Kedundung. Namun, keberadaan waduk ini belum dapat dioptimalkan dengan baik. Kondisi saat ini belum adanya sarana yang dapat menunjang para wisatawan untuk menikmati keindahan dari Waduk Klampis. Melihat kebutuhan masyarakat akan sarana yang ekonomis dan praktis maka, diperlukan material alternatif. Salah satu material altenatif yang digunakan berupa polyvinyl chloride(PVC) yang memiliki nilai ekonomis serta ringan dan mudah dalam perawatan. Pada proses pembuatan perahu berbahan PVC diperlukan konstruksi yang kuat sehingga, dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh variasi suhu dan jarak gap terhadap hasil las menggunakan hot gas welding. Metode yang diakukan berupa pembuatan sempel dan dilakukan pengujian tarik. Hasil penelitian ini dari suhu yang digunakan (100ᵒC, 140ᵒC, dan 150ᵒC) dan variasi jarak gap (2 mm, 3 mm, dan 4 mm). Sehingga, menghasilkan nilai ultimate strange terbaik dengan jarak gap 2 mm dan suhu 140ᵒC.

Abstract

Ferry ships generally have various kinds of cargo such as passengers, motorbikes, livestock, or goods carried by passengers. The process of transferring the load requires a special path or path in its transfer which is called a Ramp door. One of the important factors in making Ramp doors is their strength, so there is a need for strength analysis in rampdoor design on certain types of ships, one of which is multipurpose ships, strength analysis on ramp doors for certain loads can be visualized using solidwork software.In a comparison of the strength analysis between using the software and calculating the stress, the difference is not that significant and the biggest difference is the calculation of the stress on the load of passengers riding motorbikes when going through the Ramp door. From the results obtained in the calculations and the software, there is a difference of 4.29 % with the safety factor in accordance with the rules of safety factor, which exceeds the number 1.
