Abstract

Jember Sari wedding dress is a original wedding dress of Jember regency. Jember Sari wedding dress consists of kebaya, beskap and jarit. The purpose of examining Jember Sari wedding dress is in order to mantain a regional wedding dress and preserve the existing culture. The result of the study is the apperarance motive of Jember Sari weding dress as follows; (1) Socio-cultural factors, due to the fusion process of Javanese and Madura culture. The Javanese and Madurese etnics coexisted in Jember, thereby the new culture is called “Pandhalungan” culture. One of the Pandalungan culture is the wedding dress of Jember Sari. (2) In 2003, HARPI "Melati" appealed to every region in order to obtain the regional wedding dress. After that, based on the idea of the HARPI "Melati" chairman Jember, then HARPI performed out the excamination and research towards Jember Sari wedding dress in 2005. Abstract

Batik is a native culture of Indonesia. The first batik making was in Sumber Jambe which is the center of batik in Jember Regency. Problem formulation in this research is how the background of Rezti's Batik Mboeloe industry in Tegalsari Village, Ambulu District, Jember Regency in 2011 and how the development of Rezti's Batik Mboeloe in Tegalsari Village, Ambulu District, Jember Regency, 2011-2018. This research was designed with historical research methods, where the stages of the process consist of 4 steps, namely: 1. Heuristics; 2. Criticism; 3. Interpretation; and 4. Historiography. The development of batik is a form of the creative economy by bringing up various product motif innovations that are able to survive until now. The results of this research, the establishment of the Rezti's Batik Mboeloe industry, have the same potential as Sumber Jambe and Rumah Batik Rolla, although the Ambulu batik industry can be said to be relatively new. Rezti’s Batik Mboeloe Industry offers affordable products with good quality and has batik motifs that are not the same as Sumber Jambe and Rumah Batik Rolla. An interesting development of Rezti's Batik Mboeloe Industry motifs is the lifting of the marine motifs that are characteristic of the Reztik Batik Mboeloe Industry. Suggestions in this study This researcher is expected to be a reference in the development of writing other historical writing studies, this research is expected to provide additional historical knowledge about Indonesian Batik Industry. Abstract

Ketoprak merupakan seni pertunjukan tradisional terkenal yang tetap eksis hingga sekarang. Salah satu kelompok Ketoprak yang masih konsisten mengadakan pagelaran dan mengembangankan seni ketoprak adalah "Mustiko Budoyo" di Desa Tempuran Kecamatan Kota Blora kabupaten Blora. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah latar belakang berdirinya ketoprak Mustiko Budoyo di Blora pada tahun 1976 dan bagaimana dinamika Ketoprak Mustiko Budoyo di Blora tahun 1976-2018. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan metode penelitian sejarah. Langkah-langkah dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Heuristik; (2) Kritik; (3) Intepretasi; Dan (4) Historiografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdirinya Ketoprak Mustiko di latar belakangi oleh kondisi sosial-budaya masyarakat yang mayoritas bekerja sebagai petani memiliki kehidupan spiritual yang selalu melibatkan seni pertunjukan khususnya Ketoprak. Ketoprak Mustiko Budoyo telah mengalami banyak perubahan dan perkembangan yang mencakup aspek Lakon, pemain, Tata Busana, Tata Rias, Panggung, dan Peralatan. Saran dalam penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan tambahan pengetahuan tentang sejarah Ketoprak Mustiko Budoyo. Keywords: ketoprak, Mustiko Budoyo, Blora.

Abstract

The oral tradition of Untung Suropati is message or stories about Untung Suropati that aretold from generation to generation oral. The oral tradition does not include eye witnesswhich is oral data, but is transmitted from one generation to another. Function of oraltradition of Untung Suropati value is a projection system or reflection and as aneducational amenity. The results of the research obtained are contextual backgrouds of theoral tradition in the form of recitations that have been exitedfor a long time, posibly sincethe death of Untung Suropati. The oral tradition in the form of procession Kirab Pataka waexamined by a team established by Hari Jadi Kota Pasuuan cooperated with DinasPendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota Pasuruan in 2002. The oral tradition in the form ofdance drama (dramatari) introduced by art studios of Dharma Budaya. Embodiment ofUntung Suropati story in each of the oral tradition obtains a different story. Historicalvalue in the oral tradition which can be engaged as a historical source is the form ofprocession Kirab Pataka.

Abstract

Jalalludin Muhammad Akbar is the third king of the Mughal Empire. The Mughal empireis an Islamic-style kingdom that flourished in the western Indian region in the 16thcentury. Mughal in Akbar experienced a golden era that runs a policy strategy such as thepolitical, economic, religious and cultural fields. This study aims to (1) examine thebackground of Jalalluddin Muhammad Akbar's government in India in 1556-1605 AD, (2)to examine the role of Jalalludin Muhammad Akbar in applying Mughal governmentpolicy in India, (3) to examine the results achieved Mughal Work in India on the reign ofJalalludin Muhammad Akbar in India. This research uses historical research methods,with four phases of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The policy ofSultan Akbar's rule was seen as the forerunner of the Mughal forces by the unity of theHindustan society under the Mughal alliance. In the political field Sultan Akbar optimizedthe political system of sulh-e-kul with a base of military power. The economy implementsa trading system with a fair tax system in accordance with income. Multiculturalism in theHindustan lands alters Akbar's thoughts on the field of Mughal religion and art, theapplication of Divine Providence is used inter-religious intolerance in India while in thearts there is a cultural acculturation to cultivate Mughal characteristics. The adoption ofAkbar's policies in 1556-1605 AD led to social change in society to balance the systemrunning in India. These changes led to progress and good relations between Mughal andthe people of Hindustan.

Abstract

Social and economic movement in this case is a change in the community around the tomb of Gus Dur at Cukir village years 2009-2016 towards the better. The changes that occurred in the economy is evident impact on income and the improvement of the education of children around the tomb, say previous earnings ranging between Rp. 1,500,000 monthly increase of around Rp. 2,000,000 every weekend. While social changes seen from the kind of occupations, how interact people around the tomb interact to sellers from outside the Cukir village and enterprise spirit of communities around the tomb, for example changes in the type of occupations from agricultural sector into the trade sector. The problems that were examined are: (1) how is the socio-economic conditions before 2009? (2) what are the factors that cause social and economic movement? (3) how the socio-economic movement around the family tomb complex in the village of Gus Dur Cukir years 2009- 2016?. The purpose of this study are: (1) to assess the socio-economic conditions of society before 2009; (2) to examine factors that cause social and economic movement; (3) to assess the socio-economic changes of society around the family tomb complex in the village of Gus Dur Cukir years 2009-2016. This study used heuristic method with the stage of history, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The approach used Economic Sociology and the theory of modernization. Abstract

Studi kerajinan wayang sudah ada sejak lama di Desa Dukuh Dempok, Kecamatan Wuluhan, Kabupaten Jember. Industri rumahan kerajinan wayang kulit merupakan usaha mikro menengah di Kabupaten Jember. Ada tiga industri rumahan dari tahun 1995 hingga 2018 di desa Dukuh Dempok, yaitu industri rumahan yang didirikan oleh Eko, industri rumahan Robby, dan industri rumahan Happy. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian historis di mana langkah-langkahnya adalah heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori modernisasi yang ditulis oleh J.W Schoorl dan pendekatan yang diambil adalah analisis konsep sosial ekonomi yang merupakan implikasi sosiologi untuk kegiatan kompleks mengenai produksi, distribusi, perdagangan, pola konsumsi barang dan jasa.

Abstract

Abstract Megalithic culture in Jember Regency has existed for thousands of years which has been proven by ancient objects on Mount Watangan and the discovery of other archaeological objects at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District with different naming and the only finding of the Kangkang stone in Jember Regency. . The problems studied in this research are; How many archaeological remains of megalithic culture at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District, Jember Regency? How is it spread? What are the types and functions of the archaeological remains of the megalithic culture? What is the conception of belief that underlies the creation of archaeological remains of megalithic culture at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District, Jember Regency? What is the picture of the social and economic life of the community making archaeological remains of megalithic culture at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District, Jember Regency?. The research methods used are: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. As for the results of this study, the total number of archaeological remains of megalithic culture that was successfully inventoried by researchers at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District, Jember Regency, was 7 pieces of which the type of megalith was 2 stone mortars, 1 pictorial monolith, 1 dolmen grave, 3 stone mortars, the conception of belief held by the supporting community is the religious conception of Ancestor Worship that ancestral spirits always protect living relatives. the supporting community has recognized the pattern of permanent housing as a place to live. The existence of graves shows social stratification and differentiation. The affluent economic situation is evidenced by the ability to bury its citizens using dolmen graves and they have an egalitarian pattern. Abstract

This article examines the Green Revolution as one of the development programs in Indonesia during the New Order government. The scope of this article is that Wuluhan sub- district with high productivity in Jember Regency. The study is discusses 1) How was the New Order's political and economic policies that underlie the Green Revolution in Indonesia?; 2) How was the implementation of the Green Revolution in Wuluhan District, Jember Regency in 1969 - 1998?; 3) What is the impact of the implementation of the Green Revolution program on changes in production methods and productivity of agricultural products and the welfare of farmers in Wuluhan District, Jember Regency 1969-1998?. The method used in this research is the historical research method. using document sources, interviews, and supporting secondary sources. The result of this research is the New Order government's policy is based on the Trilogy of economic development. The form of the Green Revolution Policy in Indonesia is Bimas. The application of Panca Usaha as a program from Bimas can be accepted by wuluhan farmers even though there are several obstacles to the KUD, PPL institutions, and the use of agricultural materials such as pesticides. Production and productivity of rice plants has increased. The welfare of farmers can be improved, followed by improvements in the economy and other aspects of society in general
