Abstract

21st century skills prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in life and careers in the world of work. One thing that needs to be developed is self-confidence which is an important character in achieving learning goals. The sample of this research is 34 students of MAN 2 Jember. The data technique used is a questionnaire. Data processing is done using SPSS. The results of the study of students' self-confidence at the pretest obtained an average score of 52.67 which indicates the category of moderate confidence and self-confidence of students at the post-test obtained an average of 81.33 which indicates that the category of high self-confidence means confidence students' self between pretest and post-test increased by 28,667. The research recommendation is that it is necessary to build a learning environment that can increase students' self-confidence. Based on the results of the study and its relationship with previous research, it shows that the ARCS learning model has an effect on increasing students' self-confidence.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research aims to improve students written scientific argumentation through the application of  problem based learning into enviromental pollution main subject at class X Science. The research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR). It was carried out in two cycles in which each cycle consists of  four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of the research was 38 students of X Science.The source of the data came from teacher and students. Technique of collecting data used tests, interviews, and documentation. The main data about students written scientific argumentation covers three aspects, they are: claim, evidence, and reasoning. The technique used to validate this data was triangulation method. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis technique. The research procedure used eas the spiral method. The reasearch target was improvement of written scientific argumentation increase ≥30% from base line.The result showed the application of problem based learning can improve written scientific argumentation students at class X Science. Percentage performance students written scientific argumentation in pre-action is 36,55% with a low category, consists of claim at  50,88% with a medium category, evidence at  35,09% with a low category; and reasoning at 23,68% with a low category. Percentage performance students written scientific argumentation in the first cycle increased to 57,89% with a medium category, consists of claim at  64,91% with a high category, evidence at  56,14% with a medium category; and reasoning at 52,63% with a medium category. Percentage performance students written scientific argumentation in the second cycle increased to 86,55% with a very high category, consists of claim at  97,37% with a very high category, evidence at  85,97%  with a very high category; and reasoning at 76,31% with a high category. Data increase written scientific argumentation from pre-action to second cycle has been increased according to the target is ≥30%. Key Words:written scientific argumentation, problem based learning, enviromental pollution.

Abstract

In this paper we present the distortion and the Fekete-SzegÄo problem of subclass of Bazilevi·c functions, B1(®). First, we present the result of Singh concerning the sharp value of the coe±cients for B1(®), ja2j, ja3j and ja4j. Second, we give a solution of the Fekete-SzegÄo problem, i.e. an estimateof ja3 ¡ ¹a 2 2j for any real and complex numbers ¹ where a2 and a3 are the coe±cients of functions f in B1(®), where B1(®) is de¯ned by (2), i.e. for each ® > 0 and for z 2 D, Re f 0 (z) f(z)z ®¡1 > 0. These results are sharp for the functions f0 de¯ned by (3) for any real number ¹ which satis¯es ¹ < (1 ¡ ®)=2, or ¹ ¸ (4 + 3® + ® )=[2(2 + ®)] and for any complex number ¹ which satis¯es j3 + ® ¡ 2¹(2 + ®)j ¸ (1 + ®) 2 . These results are sharp for the functions f1 de¯ned by (4) for the other real and complex numbers ¹. Next, we use similar methods to get estimates for linear expressions involving higher coe±cients of function in B1(®). 2

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendiskripsikan keanekaragaman tanaman  di sepanjang tebing sungai Dengkeng yang berhulu sungai di gunung Merapi serta pengaruhnya terhadap kualitas tebing sungai. Asumsi dasar dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa semakin baik dan stabil kondisi tebing sungai, maka semakin baik kualitas air sungai tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melakukan survey dan pendataan jenis dan jumlah species tanaman yang tumbuh secara alami maupun yang dibudidaya oleh masyarakat di sepanjang daerah aliran sungai dengkeng. Dari hasil penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa kondisi tebing sungai Dengkeng perlu mendapatkan perlakuan khusus dengan menambah jenis maupun jumlah tanaman yang sesuai untuk konservasi daerah aliran sungai.  Kata kunci  :    Keanekaragaman Vegetasi, Kualitas Tebing Sungai, Kualitas Air Sungai,  Koinservasi Daerah Aliran Sungai

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui adanya  perbedaan kemampuan  berpikir kritis  antara model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada mata pelajaran biologi  siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam eksperimen semu (Quasy experiment). Desain penelitian adalah  Post-Test Only with Nonequivalent Group dengan menggunakan kelas eksperimen (penerapan model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map) dan kelas perbandingan (penerapan pembelajaran konvensional).   Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sejumlah 188. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cluster sampling  dan diambil 2 kelas sebagai kelas eksperimen dan perbandingan. Kelas yang digunakan sebagai kelas eksperimen adalah kelas XI IPA 6 dan  kelas perbandingan adalah kelas XI IPA 5. Sampel berjumlah 62 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes uraian, lembar observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi sekolah. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji-t.  Nilai uji t didapatkan sebesar  -4,926 serta signifikansi 0,000 (signifikansi<0,05). Sintaks model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map terlaksana dengan baik. Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map yang dapat melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah ada perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara model pembelajaran INSTAD dipadu concept map dengan pembelajaran konvensional pada mata pelajaran biologi siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Surakarta tahun pelajaran 2012/2013.  Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, model pembelajaran INSTAD, concept map, pembelajaran konvensional

Abstract

Proses penyempurnaan produk kerajinan perak dengan permukaan datar dengan sistim polis dapat mempercepat produksi. Hal ini mendorong perajin utuk menambah kecepatan putaran peralatan polis tanpa memperhitungkan efektifitas kerja peralatan. Peningkatan kecepatan akan memperbesar gaya lempar yang terjadi sehingga mengurangi efektifitas proses polis, sedangkan tekanan yang semakin besar akan meningkatkan gaya gesek yang terjadi. Percobaan dilakukan pada 3 tingkat kecepatan yaitu RPM 1440, 1550 dan 1950. Tekanan yang diberikan pada masing-masing kecepatan adalah 3; 3,5 dan 4 kg. Kilau perak yang terjadi kemudian dianalisa. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa kilau perak yang paling bagus diperoleh pada RPM 1440 dengan tekanan 4 kg.Proses penyempurnaan produk kerajinan perak dengan permukaan datar dengan sistim polis dapat mempercepat produksi. Briket Batubara adalah hasil olah lanjut dari batubara yang penggunaannya dalam  proses peleburan menggunakan tungku pelebur bentuk silindris dengan penyuapan angin dari blower. Peleburan perak dan kuningan dengan menggunakan bahan bakar briket batubara dilakukan dalam tungku yang berbentuk silindris, Dari hasil peleburan logam perak maupun kuningan, temperatur yang dapat dicapai melebihi titik leleh (melting point) dari kedua logam tersebut yaitu 128°C. Abstract

This study aims to find out empirically and analyze the influence of relationship-oriented leadership behavior and HR management on work ethic through Employee Retention at the Department of Transportation, Sukoharjo Regency. The population in this study were 75 employees at the Department of Transportation in Sukoharjo Regency. The sample method was a census with a sample size of 75 respondents. The analysis technique used is to use the path analysis test, t test, F test, test the coefficient of determination and correlation analysis. The results of the hypothesis test show that relationship-oriented leadership behavior has a positive and significant effect on retention. HR management has a positive and significant effect on retention. Relationship-oriented leadership behavior has a negative and insignificant effect on work ethic. HR management has a positive and significant effect on work ethics. Retention has a positive and significant effect on work ethic. The results of the F test together with relationship-oriented leadership behavior variables, HR management and retention have a significant effect on work ethic. The results of the calculation of the total R2 value of 0.815 can be interpreted as variations in the work ethic of employees at the Sukoharjo Regency Transportation Service explained by the relationship-oriented leadership behavior variables, HR management and retention of 81.5% and the remaining 18.5% explained by other variables outside the research model as examples of abilities work and communication. Conclusion Direct and Indirect Influence illustrates that the direct path of HR management on work ethic is the dominant or effective path to improve work ethic.

Abstract

This study aims to detect financial statement fraud at PT. Garuda Indonesia in 2017-2019 used the Beneish M Score model and testing whether the Beneish M Score model can detect the occurrence of financial statement fraud at PT. Garuda Indonesia in 2018. The results of this study indicate that PT Garuda Indonesia was classified in the Gray criteria, that can be interpreted as manipulate or not manipule financial statements in 2017 and 2018 and classified in the criteria not manipulate financial statements in 2019. The results of this study also found that the Beneish M Score model could not accurately to detect the manipulation of financial statements at PT. Garuda Indonesia in 2018, because only two ratios are Gross Margin Index (GMI) and Days Sales in Receivable Index (DSRI) which detect manipulation of financial statements, so they are only classified in the gray area criteria

Abstract

A Character education is the efforts made by the school to shape, steer and build behavior students in accordance with values are to certain norms. The Character is needed to reduce students in anticipation of future challenges which is expected to be more weight and complex. The Teaching history in high school have a big responsibility to form the character of students. The problems of this research are, the base of character education at school, the implementation of character education in teaching history, and the value of character developed by teaching history. The purpose of this research, to know the base of character education at school, the implementation of character education in teaching history, and the value of a character developed by teaching history. The subject of the research is three history teacher some students. The kind of this is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The results of the value character education in history teaching is patriotic, honest, diciplined, communicative and religius. This research is expected to be a contribution to the reader literature.
