Abstract

Abstract

Correlated Color Temperature/CCT from artificial lighting in casual dining area at cafés is used to guide visitors visual perception through the interior atmosphere and dish display when served. Its visual impact triggers a non-visual response in the form of the visitors perception to rise appetite. This research aims to see the strength of causal relationship between perception of the dish display and the appetite for dining. A descriptive approach is used through questionnaire to examine the magnitude of this relationship using simple linear regression. The results show that the clarity of the dish display impact strongly on visitors perception on dish display (R Square 87.81%). Then, perception on dish display gives strong impact on appetite (R Square 87%). This research concludes that neutral CCT preferences give higher impact on dining appetite since the perception on the dish display has previously evaluated positive

Abstract

Plagiarism encompasses the act of appropriating high-quality user-generated content as if it were one's own intellectual property. Image plagiarism can be conceptualized as a broader category that encompasses the challenges of detecting copied images. Identifying instances of plagiarism is of paramount importance not only for graphic designers, professional photographers, and bloggers but also for publishing entities and legal practitioners seeking to uncover unauthorized reproductions of their creations. In addressing this issue, the implementation of blockchain technology presents a viable solution. Fundamentally more than just a collection of interconnected blocks, blockchain is characterized by the systematic recording of digital signatures or hashes of each block. Blockchain is essentially more than just a collection of interconnected blocks; it is characterized by the systematic recording of a digital signature or hash of each block. To generate the hash, cryptographic methods can be applied. This study aims to develop a web-based application that is adept at detecting image plagiarism through the application of blockchain technology. Images submitted by users will undergo plagiarism detection by an application that uses blockchain methodology. This study applies the DCT method to extract features from images, then uses the AES-128 and SHA-1 methods to generate blockchain. The results of this study are in the form of a website that can be used to detect image plagiarism. From the results of the tests carried out, it was obtained that the combination of the DCT, AES-128 and SHA-1 methods can detect image plagiarism with an accuracy of 100%. This means that the combination of these methods can be applied to carry out the process of detecting image plagiarism with a very high level of accuracy.

Abstract

PT Batam Bangun Prathama is a company engaged in the distribution of building and construction materials that imports building and construction materials such as iron tiles, angle iron, and others in Riau Islands. With 25 years of experience, PT Batam Bangun Prathama has been trusted by the Riau Islands community as a distributor of complete building and construction materials so that product standards cannot be doubted. At this time the problem that is being faced by the company when conducting the initial survey is that there are often cases where there is an imbalance between supply and demand for goods. The large number of buyers and the diversity of tastes in the goods they have makes it difficult for PT Batam Bangun Prathama to predict the best-selling items so that it cannot anticipate running out of these items by providing more stock than before. To overcome this, a prediction system is needed for the sale of goods that are most requested by consumers. This prediction will be useful to make it easier for the building stock provider at PT Batam Bangun Prathama in planning the supply of goods and informing the company about the products most purchased by consumers. The results of this research are a tree of sales prediction decisions with the highest gain value, namely price, quality and warranty as factors that greatly affect the availability of goods.

Abstract

Abstract

BACKGROUND Adipose tissue is often overlooked in DNA testing due to misconceptions about its DNA content. However, its shock-absorbing qualities may be useful for high-pressure scenarios like bomb blasts. This study aimed to evaluate DNA quality and quantity in adipose tissue affected by blasts compared to that in unaffected tissue. METHODS 10 adipose tissue samples were taken from regions near and far from the blast, representing the blast-exposed and non-blast-exposed groups. The adipose tissue was stored at a low temperature for 5 days, after which an organic extraction method was applied. The purity of the DNA extract was assessed using a NanoDrop spectrophotometer, and its integrity was evaluated using 0.8% concentration gel electrophoresis at 60 V for 90 min. DNA typing was conducted using the GlobalFiler™ kit, and DNA quantity was determined with the Quantifiler™ Trio DNA Quantification kit. RESULTS Of 20 DNA extracts from adipose tissue, all samples demonstrated purity, integrity, and complete typing results. Adequate integrity was found in 90% of samples in both groups. A 50% incidence of allele shifting was observed at the D7S820 locus within the blast-exposed group. CONCLUSIONS DNA from blast-exposed adipose tissue exhibited no significant quality or quantity differences from non-blast-exposed tissue. This suggested adipose tissue’s potential as an alternative DNA source in a bomb explosion.
