Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode pembelajaran berbasis masalah (Problem Based Learning/PBL) dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islami ke dalam proses belajar mengajar di SMA Swasta Nurhasanah Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL mampu mendorong siswa untuk berpikir kritis, memecahkan masalah secara mandiri maupun kelompok, serta mengaitkan materi pelajaran dengan nilai-nilai Islami seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan kerja sama. Guru berperan aktif dalam merancang skenario pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan religius, serta menciptakan suasana kelas yang mendukung pembentukan karakter Islami. Kesimpulannya, metode PBL efektif dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islami dalam pembelajaran, meskipun masih terdapat beberapa tantangan seperti keterbatasan waktu dan kesiapan siswa dalam beradaptasi dengan metode ini.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of communication between instructors and students in the process of Qur’an memorization (tahfidz) at the Tahfidz Al-Qur’an Al Manshuriyah Islamic Boarding School in Deli Serdang. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. The informants included the foundation’s leader, instructors (ustadz/ustadzah), and students. The findings reveal that the communication patterns applied by the instructors are varied and personalized, incorporating verbal and non-verbal communication along with emotional approaches. Teachers combined motivational and corrective communication with a balance of firmness and gentleness to maintain students’ enthusiasm and comfort in memorization. Factors such as emotional condition, motivation, communication style, and the pesantren’s environment influenced the effectiveness of communication. The study also identified several communication challenges, including students’ fear or shyness, differing backgrounds, and fluctuating motivation—overcome through personalized, empathetic approaches and positive reinforcement. In conclusion, strong interpersonal communication between instructors and students plays a pivotal role in the success of tahfidz development and the formation of resilient student character.

Abstract

This research discusses the Role Of Al-Quran Teachers In Overcoming Children's Difficulties In Reading The Al-Quran (Iqro Method) At Tadika Nurulhidayah Budi Patani South Thailand, with the main problem: What is the role of Al-Quran teachers in overcoming children's difficulties in reading the Al-Qur'an at Tadika Nurulhidayah school Budi Yaring South Thailand 2023/2024 academic year. Through the principal, Al-Quran teacher, and students of the Tadika Nurulhidayah Budi South Yaring school, Thailand. Used as a data source to obtain a portrait of the teacher's role in overcoming difficulties in reading the Koran. This type of research is field research and the approach used is a qualitative approach. Data collection uses interviews, observation and documentation. The data validity method uses triangulation of methods and sources. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that: The role of teachers in overcoming children's difficulties in reading the Qur'an at the Tadika Nurulhidayah Budi Yaring Selatan Thailand school for students is considered optimal. With the many efforts that have been made, students' ability to read the Qur'an should be... getting better. Teachers have made many efforts to help their students who are still having difficulty reading the Qur'an, but some of the students have no interest in learning. They know that their reading ability is still lacking, but their desire to learn is which does not exist yet. Until now, the Quran teachers at Tadika Nurulhidayah Budi Yaring Selatan Thailand school are still trying to develop students' interest in learning to read the Quran.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the One Day One Ayat (ODOA) method in improving Qur’anic memorization among students at Pondok Pesantren Syarif Ar-Rasyid. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews with 30 students who had participated in the ODOA program for at least one month. The results showed that the ODOA method was effective in enhancing the quantity and consistency of memorization. Students were able to meet daily targets and showed increased motivation, discipline, and spiritual connection during the memorization process. The findings also indicate that the structured nature of the ODOA method helped develop a sustainable memorization habit without overwhelming students. The environment of the pesantren, support from teachers, and daily routines played a significant role in the success of this method. Therefore, the ODOA method is considered a practical and impactful strategy in improving Qur’an memorization, especially when supported by proper guidance and consistency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning outcomes on students' noble character (akhlak mahmudah) at MTs Al-Umm Medan Marelan. Using a quantitative correlational approach, the research involved 60 students as the sample. Data were collected through tests to measure IRE learning outcomes and questionnaires to assess students’ moral behavior. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between IRE achievement and the development of akhlak mahmudah. The regression analysis revealed that 32.6% of the variation in students’ moral behavior is influenced by their IRE learning outcomes. This finding indicates that while religious education contributes to character development, other external factors such as family environment, peer influence, and social context also play a role. The study highlights the importance of integrating moral values into the IRE curriculum through affective learning, religious habituation, and teacher role modeling. It is recommended that schools adopt a holistic educational approach to strengthen both intellectual and moral dimensions of students' development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of dhikr activities in developing emotional regulation among female students (santriwati) at Pondok Pesantren Darul Mukhlisin Serdang Bedagai. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that regular dhikr practice, both after obligatory prayers and at specific times, plays a significant role in helping students manage negative emotions such as anger, anxiety, and stress. Teachers and dormitory supervisors observed that students who consistently engage in dhikr demonstrate greater patience, discipline, and higher learning motivation. The study concludes that dhikr is not merely a ritual act of worship but also serves as an effective Islamic psychotherapeutic medium to enhance inner peace and build positive character among students.

Abstract

The research that has been conducted is titled "The Dynamics of Educational Interaction in Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Islamic Cultural History Subjects at MIS TPI Al Fajar." This is based on student learning outcomes in Islamic Cultural History subjects. The dynamics of educational interaction is what happens within the learning process. The purpose of this research is to understand the dynamics of educational interaction that occurs in improving students' learning outcomes in Islamic Cultural History. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. As for the data sources for the research informants, they are the School Principal, the Islamic Cultural History subject teachers, and representatives from several 6th-grade students. The research findings indicate that the dynamics of educational interaction between teachers and students are quite good. In the learning process, the Islamic Cultural History teacher uses lecture and question-and-answer methods. However, not all students can focus and listen to the teacher well, and not all students are able to understand or answer the teacher's questions effectively. This results in a less active learning environment. In this case, the teacher communicates in a two-way manner, and the factors hindering the dynamics of educational interaction in improving student learning outcomes are the school's guidebooks, which are in the form of student worksheets, and the absence of storybooks prepared by the school as an addition to teaching and learning activities in Islamic Cultural History.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of various teaching methods in Fiqh to enhance students’ learning motivation in grade VII at MTs Project Kandepag Medan. This research is a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. The methods used include observation, interviews, and documentation to gather data regarding the implementation of diverse teaching methods and their impact on students’ learning motivation. The results reveal that the application of various teaching methods such as discussion, demonstration, question-and-answer, and group work creates a more active, enjoyable, and interactive learning atmosphere. These methods have been proven to increase students’ interest, attention, and participation in Fiqh learning. Thus, varied teaching methods in Fiqh are effective in improving students’ learning motivation in grade VII at MTs Project Kandepag Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the classroom management skills of Akidah Akhlak teachers, the implementation of these skills in overcoming passive students, and the supporting factors that influence the effectiveness of learning at MTs PAB 4 Patumbak. The background of this research stems from the phenomenon of students who tend to be passive in Akidah Akhlak learning, which requires teachers to apply effective and innovative classroom management strategies. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants consisted of the Principal Principal, Akidah Akhlak teacher and students The data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study reveal that the Akidah Akhlak teacher’s classroom management skills at MTs PAB 4 Patumbak were carried out through well-prepared lesson planning, the use of various methods (short lectures, discussions, role play, and questioning), and the utilization of visual and audiovisual media. The implementation of these skills proved effective in reducing student passivity, as indicated by increased engagement, greater willingness to ask questions, and active participation in discussions and simulations. The main supporting factors included the principal’s supervision, adequate learning facilities, teacher motivation to innovate, and students’ positive responses to the applied methods and media. In conclusion, the classroom management skills of Akidah Akhlak teachers play a crucial role in overcoming passive students and improving the overall quality of learning. Institutional support and sufficient learning facilities are significant factors that strengthen the effectiveness of these skills.
