Abstract

Vehicle license plate detection is a system used to automatically recognize and identify license plates on passing vehicles. This system is useful to assist in managing traffic, reducing crime, and increasing the efficiency of the transportation system. However, in its implementation, license plate detection often encounters difficulties due to variations in shape, color, and lighting conditions. In addition, vehicle license plates are also cut off or distorted in digital images, which can complicate the detection process. To solve these problems, an effective method is needed to identify objects from digital images. This study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of two popular algorithms used for vehicle license plate detection, namely YOLO (You only look once) and RCNN (Region Convolutional Neural network). The performance evaluation of the two algorithms uses the same dataset so that their accuracy can be compared. The results showed that the YOLOv4 algorithm has a higher level of detection accuracy than RCNN with an accuracy of 96% and 87,8%, respectively. Based on these results it can be concluded that YOLOv4 is more suitable for use in vehicle license plate detection applications with prioritized speeds.

Abstract

The application of hydroponics in the agricultural sector is very effective for maximizing limited land in urban environments (urban farming). This one farming system requires extra supervision to get quality crop yields. One aspect to which farmers must pay attention is monitoring the water level in the tank so that the water discharge needed by hydroponic plants is properly fulfilled. In order to provide convenience to farmers in carrying out this monitoring, this research is designed to monitor the water level of the tank based on a website. The use of ultrasonic sensors in this study is as a distance sensor. Sensor data that has been obtained from the ultrasonic sensor is then processed by the Arduino Uno and sent to the NodeMCU ESP8266 to be sent to a database that is connected via the internet network so that it can be used by users anywhere and anytime through websites connected to the internet. The level of accuracy of the data on the website is 100% according to the reading results from the Arduino IDE application and a ruler as a comparison measure.

Abstract

The android-based Bangka Belitung tourism information system is used to make it easier for tourists in Bangka Belitung and those from outside, to obtain information about tourism, cultural customs, souvenirs, and culinary delights available in Bangka Belitung. This android application is made using the waterfall method which consists of several stages, namely requirements analysis, system design, programming, testing, and implementation. This application will display detailed information on tours, cultural customs, souvenirs, and culinary delights in Bangka Belitung. Based on the results of black box testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) by conducting questionnaires to 10 users, the percentage results are 89%. Therefore, the authors developed a Bangka Belitung tourism information system using Android Studio and PhpMyAdmin as MySQL database management. With this Android application, it can make it easier for local tourists and tourists from outside Bangka Belitung to find information about tourism in Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

Human life today is very dependent on electrical energy. In almost everyday life, people need electricity, whether in offices, households, education, industry, and others. Excessive use of electricity can cause waste both in terms of costs and energy itself. Careful monitoring is needed to find out how much electrical power is used in electronic equipment. The important thing for users to pay attention to is monitoring electrical power consumption so that the use of electronic equipment remains within the time and cost limits that have been previously set. Therefore, the aim of this research is to make it easier for users to carry out this monitoring through a website-based system. Data from the PZEM-004T sensor is processed by the ESP32 microcontroller, then sent to the database via the internet network. In this way, this information can be accessed by users anytime and anywhere via websites connected to the internet. The level of data accuracy on the website reaches 100%, according to the reading results from ESP32 and Power Quality Analyzer as a comparison.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country that generally faces the risk of widespread mosquito distribution in each of its regions. With the abudance of mosquito distribution, the spread of mosquito larvae will also increase. As a result, mosquito larvae fins suitable places to breed in hard-to-reach areas. Therefore, a tool is needed to monitor these mosquito larvae when they are in water reservoir or containers that are difficult to access. The method used in this final project is You Only Look Once (YOLO). Based on the system can perform detection but is not yet working optimally. The system can detect well in places with bright light intensity or not too dark. The test result of this system show that it can detect many mosquito larvae at once. The accuracy results obtained from testing range from 51% - 89%.

Abstract

Goldfish (Carassius Auratus) is a beloved ornamental fish among enthusiasts. In the care of Goldfish, feeding plays a crucial role in supporting their growth, thus the feed provided must correspond to the size, quantity, and nutritional content required by the fish. One way to determine the appropriate amount of feed is by measuring the fish's weight. However, conventional measurements may suffer inaccuracies due to several factors, such as the observer's skill level and the tendency of fish to move. The aim of this research is to develop a system capable of determining the feed amount for the fish based on their weight. In this study, the Author utilizes image processing technology using image segmentation techniques to measure the weight of ornamental fish in determining the appropriate feed quantity. Based on test results, this system can measure weight by simultaneously placing Goldfish in an aquarium, resulting in length accuracy of 88.57%, width of 86.18%, and weight of 86.61%, determining feed quantity at 85.87% accuracy with a feed difference of 1.64 grams. Meanwhile, measuring individual fish/tails produces length accuracy of 92.96%, width of 77.15%, and weight of 94.12%, as well as feed quantity determination at 99.43% accuracy with a feed difference of 0.08 grams.

Abstract

Helmet theft is a common problem for motorcycle users, especially on campuses. An Internet of Things (IoT) security system with location access via Telegram is designed to enhance helmet security. This system uses the HC-05 Bluetooth module as a master on the motorcycle and a slave on the helmet. If the connection is lost, a buzzer will sound and the ESP8266 module will send a notification to Telegram. The SIM900A module receives user commands, allowing them to send a "FIND" message to determine the location of the helmet or motorcycle based on data from the GPS module. This system enables real-time monitoring and tracking of lost helmets via Telegram.

Abstract

Pendidikan yang bermutu sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pendidik, termasuk di tingkat Taman Kanak-Kanak, di mana pengelolaan kehadiran sering kali masih dilakukan secara manual. Sistem absensi manual berisiko mengalami kesalahan pencatatan dan manipulasi data, sehingga diperlukan solusi yang lebih efisien dan akurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem manajemen presensi berbasis teknologi RFID dan pengenalan wajah di TK Darma Bakti guna meningkatkan akurasi pencatatan kehadiran dan efisiensi manajemen izin guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan prototipe yang diterapkan dalam pengembangan sistem manajemen presensi di TK Darma Bakti. Teknik analisis data mencakup pengujian fungsionalitas sistem melalui pengujian black box dan User Acceptance Testing (UAT) dengan skala Likert untuk mengukur tingkat kepuasan dan keefektifan sistem dari sudut pandang pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem RFID dan ESP32-CAM mampu mencatat kehadiran guru secara real-time, meminimalkan kesalahan dan manipulasi data. Sistem ini juga menyediakan fitur pengajuan izin melalui aplikasi Android dan pelacakan presensi melalui website. Pengujian dengan responden menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan pengguna yang tinggi, mengindikasikan bahwa sistem ini berhasil memenuhi kebutuhan pengelolaan presensi di TK Darma Bakti. Meskipun demikian, keterbatasan jangkauan RFID yang terbatas menjadi perhatian, dan penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk mengembangkan teknologi RFID yang lebih luas serta meningkatkan keamanan pengenalan wajah. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup peningkatan efisiensi dan transparansi dalam pengelolaan presensi dan izin guru, yang berpotensi meningkatkan kualitas manajemen pendidikan di tingkat Taman Kanak-Kanak.
