Abstract

Applications of microcantileversas biosensors have been explored by many researchers for the applications in medicine, biological, chemistry, and environmental monitoring. This research discusses a design of measurement method and simuations forpiezoresistivemicrocantileveras a biosensor, which consist of designing Wheatstone bridge circuit as object detector, simulation of resonance frequency shift based on Euler Bernoulli Beam equation, and microcantilever vibration simulation using COMSOL Multiphysics 3.5. The piezoresistivemicrocantilever used here is Seiko Instrument Technology (Japan) product with length of 110 μm, width of 50 μm, and thickness of 1 μm. Microcantilever mass is 12.815 ng, including the mass receptor. The sample object in this research is bacteria EColi. One bacteria mass is assumed to 0.3 pg. Simulation results show that the mass of one bacterium will cause the deflection of 0.03053 nm and resonance frequency value of 118.90 kHz. Moreover, four bacterium will cause the deflection of 0.03054 nm and resonance frequency value of 118.68 kHz. These data indicate that the increasing of the bacteria mass increases the deflection value and reduces the value of resonance frequency.

Abstract

PID controller is the most popular feedback controller in industry. It has been known that PID controller is capable to provide a good control performance despite having a simple algorithm and easy to understand. However, the most common problem of using this control system is that it is difficult to stipulate the most appropriate constants to each controller or tuning. This project implemented advanced PID tuning which involves several tuning methods to acquire best performance on system or plant which is volatile or critically stable such as controlling height levitation pingpong ball. The tuning methods used and compared were Ziegler-Nichols (ZN) and Chien-Hrones-Reswick (CHR). Tuning process and monitoring were performed in real time using Simulink-Arduino. Based on experimental result, CHR method gave better performance compared to ZN method. ZN resulted in overshoot, rise time, settling time, and steady state error of 48%, 0.85s, 3.8s, and ±2cm respectively, while CHR method resulted in overshoot, rise time, settling time, and steady state error of 14%, 1.15s, 1.4s, and ±1cm respectively.

Abstract

Nowaday time indicator as hour and calendar constitutes necessary for thing a lot of person to trip routines. In general, the clock and the calendar can only be seen by normal people. People with special needs, its example is blind will have difficulty in using the clock and the calendar Get bearing with that problem, therefore to help that blind is designed and made by time indicator tool with voice output. Generally, the tool's instructions when using RTC DS1307, is microcontroller ATmega16 and ISD 25 120. Information about hour, minute, date, month, and year obtained from DS1307 RTC is accessed using microcontroller ATmega16, then from the data when the information obtained is matched in the voice storage unit on ISD25120. As a results,will be obtained time information data such as voice. Besides, time setting, alarm, battery level indicator, and charge the battery with the sound as well is the tool is equipped permanently. Finally, this tool can help the blind people to be more independent in making it easier to tell the time in living day-to-day activities.

Abstract

In Islam, prayer is an obligation that must be carried out by any of its adherents who already qualified. In one day and one night there are five time prayers, namely Isya, Dawn, Noon, Asr and Maghrib. One of the greatest deeds reward is prayer in congregation at mosques or mosque at the time it was signed in prayer. Usually several mosques or mosque own marker arrival time of prayer are created automatically, making it easier for the muezzin to call the adhan. However it was still a small fraction. There are still many mosques or mosques who do not have means of automatic prayer time this marker. For that know the times of prayer 5 times a day is very important for any religion in the Islamic prayer run the 5 time period with a precise and well. To that end pointer prayer schedule is very important that there. So now many mosques or in homes that are usually already contained a calendar and prayer time enduring performer, but it looks very small so it cannot be seen from a distance. Based on that experience and the importance of this, the authors do make the viewer prayer time in real time that can change with the change of the day, and can be seen from a considerable distance. So that it can function more optimally and can maximize the time available.

Abstract

Increasing the amount of air pollution that causes global warming and the lack of attention to harmful gases such as CO and NO2 can have negative effects on health can even cause death if it is ignored by those who breathe it. And one of the most popular communications media today is mobile. Therefore, it is necessary to create a tool that can monitor air quality levels and by utilizing advances in technology monitoring system can be seen from a far via SMS. In this paper, we use the type ATmega AVR microcontroller unit 16 as a control center and a GSM modem as a network system that handles communication between the microcontroller to the network using the SMS application. In addition, the system uses the C language as the configuration between the microcontroller and mobile network systems. Air pollution levels were measured with gas sensor MQ-7 that serves to measure levels of CO and MQ-5 to measure NO2 levels. The test results of sensor calibration and sensor MQ-5 MQ-7 which issued the ADC output is changed by using the formula provisions ppm ADC becomes a value in accordance with the standards set by ISPU (Air Pollution Standards Index).

Abstract

Kebutuhan  terhadap  akurasi  data  menjadi  mutlak  dalam  pemilihan  sebuah  alat  deteksi/sensor.Kesalahan sekecil apapun atau ketidakakuratan data yang diperoleh akan menyebabkan kesalahanyang  lain  pada  proses  berikutnya. Aplikasi piezoresistive  microcantilever sebagai  sensor dengantingkat  akurasi  dan  sensitifitas  tinggi mulai  banyak  dipelajari dan  diterapkan dalam  duniakesehatan,  biologi,  kimia  dan  lingkungan  hidup. Piezoresistive  microcantilever memilikisensitifitas  yang  sangat tinggi  (skala  attogram,  10-18).Dalam  penggunaannya, piezoresistivemicrocantilevermemerlukan instrumen pendukung dengan tingkat akurasi yang tinggi pula, sepertirangkaian kontrol penguat operasional (OP-AMP) dan pembagi tegangan. Pada kegiatan riset ini,akan dilakukan kegiatan yang  meliputi pembuatan rangkaian wheatstone bridge sebagai detektorobyek,  rangkaian  OP-AMP  menggunakan  piranti  dengan  akurasi  tinggi  seperti  INA  128, dansimulasi perubahan frekuensi resonansi berbasis Persamaan Euler-Bernoulli Beam sebagai deteksikeberadaan  obyek. Obyek  yang  dideteksi  dapat  berukuran  sampai  dengan  skala picogram.  Saatterdeteksi,  massa  obyek akan  mengakibatkan  perubahan  nilai defleksi  nilai  frekuensi  resonansi.Perubahan  ini  akan  dianalisa  dan  dipelajari  untuk  menentukan  karakteristik  metodependeteksian/penyensoran.

Abstract

Bahan bakar minyak merupakan suatu hal yang tidak bisa terlepas dari kehidupan manusia, dengan bahan bakar manusia bisa melakukan aktivitas terutama untuk kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan mulai melipis cadangan minyak membuat para peneliti untuk mencari bahan alternatif lain untuk keperluan sehari-hari, salah satu contohnya untuk menyalakan lampu serta peralatan lainnya. Dengan menggunakan metode survey ke masyarakat terutama pada masyarakat pesisir yang sehari-hari sebagai seorang nelayan, maka dengan penelitian ini kita mengembangkan sebuah alat yang bisa menggunakan energi surya dan angin sebagai energi alternatif sebagai pengganti BBM sebagai sumber energi listrik, dengan menggunakan solar cell dan turbin angin energi listrik dapat dihasilkan sebesar 250 s/d 500 watt,sebagai sumber mengisian battery. Setalah menghasilkan daya, maka alat teresbut akan masuk ke inverter yang merubah daya DC menjadi AC yang kemudian akan kita gunakan sebagai sumber penerangan di bagan tetap di daearah kepualauan Bangka-Belitung. Dengan menggunakan peralatan ini kita dapat menghemat BBM sebesar ± 50% .

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi robotika saat ini sudah sangat pesat. Teknologi Robot tidak hanya dipakai di pabrik-parik maupun laboratorium tetapi juga dipakai sebagai media pembelajaran dalam dunia pendidikan. Khusus di dunia pendidikan, teknologi robot menjadi salah satu bidang ilmu yang sangat digemari karena secara fisik dapat langsung dilihat dan diaplikasikan pada beberapa kebutuhan. Penggunaan robot sebagai media pembelajaran harus dapat memenuhi aspek pembejaran secara teoritis dan aplikasi secara langsung yang dapat disertai program-program khusus. Salah satu yang sering dijumpai adalah Robot Lengan. Agar penggunaan Robot Lengan sebagai media pembelajaran dapat berjalan efisien dan interaktif, maka konsep dari pengendalian gerakan Robot Lengan harus dipahami terlebih dahulu, antara lain pemahaman tentang koordinat end effector, terutama Robot Lengan 3 sumbu dengan 5 degree of freedom dengan hubungan master-slave dan  komunikasi via bluetooth sebagai media pembelajaran yang interaktif. Robot Lengan ini dihubungkan dengan komputer sebagai display pembacaan sensor sudut yang dikirimkan oleh master dan perhitungan forward kinematic dengan aplikasi pemrograman Visual Basic. Dari hasil yang diperoleh, Trainer Kit ini mampu dalam meningkatkan efisiensi waktu dan sebagai media pembelajaran yang interaktif dalam pembelajaran tentang teknologi Robotika.   Kata kunci: Robot Lengan, Master-Slave, Degree of Freedom (DoF)

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang proses perancangan pan-tilt camera yang digunakan untuk melacak bola. Sistem pan-tilt camera ini digunakan untuk mempertahankan posisi obyek atau bola yang terdeteksi agar selalu di tengah bingkai layar visual yang dihasilkan oleh sensor visual (kamera). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas bagaimana sistem kerja dari pan-tilt camera yang akan digunakan untuk melakukan pelacakan bola dengan metode Hough Circle Transform. Setelah dilakukan pengujian, diperoleh hasil bahwa sistem pan-tilt yang diterapkan pada aktuator berupa motor servo untuk melacak/mengikuti pergerakan bola dapat bekerja dengan baik. Pergerakan ini dapat dilakukan dengan syarat bola tersebut sesuai dengan kriteria obyek yang diinginkan (misalkan kesesuaian warna). Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya nilai radius bola dalam piksel yang berbeda sesuai dengan jarak terhadap objek. Semakin jauh objek benda, maka pergerakan pan-tilt akan semakin kecil karena objek yang dideteksi pun semakin kecil.

Abstract

This research leads to the manufacture of presence tools by implementing a face recognition and detection system, and is equipped with body temperature measurements. In this study, for face detection and recognition, the Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) Algorithm and Haar Cascade of Classifier were applied. The algorithm's working system performs face detection and recognition quickly with the use of a webcam. The scope of this research is to conduct database preparation, training, detection, recognition, and face identification. For measuring body temperature using the MLX90614 Infrared temperature sensor, this temperature sensor utilizes infrared radiation, this sensor can automatically measure energy in infrared radiation which will become a temperature scale. The testing process carried out in this study uses 100 databases of facial images that will be read during the detection process. From the test results, the face detection and recognition system will work optimally at a distance of 30-100 cm from the Web cam. while the body temperature measurement system will be more accurate at a distance of 5-15 cm from the temperature sensor MLX90614.
