Abstract

Jumlah sapi perah di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya masih sedikit jika dibandingkan daerah lain yang sudah menjadi sentra pengembangan sapi perah. Prospek pengembangan ternak sapi perah memerlukan kesiapan penyediaan pakan yang memadai untuk mendukung penambahan populasi ternak sapi perah. Tujuan penelitian: 1) Menganalisis tipologi peternakan dan logistik pakan; 2) Menganalisis prospek pengembangan pada peternakan sapi perah. Penelitian dimulai dari bulan Juni – Juli 2023 melalui metode survei menggunakan analisis deskriptif pada tipologi peternakan dan logistik pakan, serta strategi pengembangan (analisis SWOT). Kabupaten Tasikmalaya prospektif untuk pengembangan sapi perah menurut hasil penelitian dengan mempertimbangkan terlebih dahulu aspek logistik pakannya untuk dapat mendukung upaya peningkatan populasi ternak sapi perah. Hasil analisis prospek pengembangan sapi perah, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya berada pada Kuadran I. Strategi pengembangan sapi perah yang paling sesuai yaitu strategi agresif (growth oriented strategy) dengan prospek utama pada kemajuan usaha melalui kekuatan dan peluang yang dimiliki. Strategi yang disarankan yaitu: 1) Peningkatan pada sarana untuk logistik pakan, 2) Integrasi sapi perah dengan pertanian (padi, jagung), 3) Introduksi teknologi pengolahan pakan, 4) Memaksimalkan penggunaan lahan untuk penanaman hijauan berkualitas, dan 5) Mengoptimalkan peran koperasi dalam menyediakan pakan yang dibutuhkan. Saran penelitian yaitu pertimbangan kajian logistik pakan dan hasil analisis prospek pengembangan ternak untuk pengembangan sapi perah.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of sodium bicarbonate and fermented concentrate feed on protein consumption and nitrogen retention in sheep. The experiment utilized 18 male local sheep, aged 78 months, with an average body weight of 19.442.37 kg. The animals were fed a diet consisting of ammoniated rice straw (25%) and concentrate (75%). The study employed an in vivo experimental approach using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), with initial body weight as the blocking factor and six replicates per treatment group. The treatments were as follows: P1= ammoniated rice straw (25%) + concentrate (75%); P2= ammoniated rice straw (25%) + concentrate (75%) + sodium bicarbonate; and P3= ammoniated rice straw (25%) + concentrate (75%) fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisiae (3%) + sodium bicarbonate. The measured variables were protein consumption and nitrogen retention. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), followed by the Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) test. The mean protein consumption was 129.5810.84 g/head/day (P1), 127.3815.46 g/head/day (P2), and 161.115.32 g/head/day (P3). The mean nitrogen retention was 84.515.50 g/head/day (P1), 83.657.59 g/head/day (P2), and 117.1612.46 g/head/day (P3). HSD analysis revealed that the combination of sodium bicarbonate and fermented concentrate feed (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) resulted in the highest protein consumption and nitrogen retention, with increases of 24.33% and 38.64%, respectively, compared to other treatments.

Abstract

Latar Belakang. Suatu Penelitian telah dilaksanakan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian daun kelor dan minyak sawit terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik secara in vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 27 Juni 2020 sampai dengan 12 September 2020. Materi dan Metode. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah cairan rumen 3 ekor domba yang diperoleh sesaat setelah pemotongan, dan sebelumnya domba telah diberi pakan dengan perlakuan yang sama dengan penelitian. Ransum perlakuan yang digunakan terdiri atas R0 = Pakan kontrol tanpa daun kelor dan minyak sawit, R1 = Pakan kontrol + 2% tepung daun kelor dari bahan kering (BK) pakan, dan R2 = Pakan kontrol + 2% tepung daun kelor dari BK pakan + 0,5% minyak sawit dari BK pakan. Penelitian dilakukan secara in vitro, variabel yang diukur yaitu Kecernaan Bahan Kering dan Bahan Organik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan organik. Simpulan. Disimpulkan bahwa campuran suplementasi 2% tepung daun kelor dan 0,5% minyak sawit mampu meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering pakan domba sebesar 4,1 % dan kecernaan bahan organik pakan domba 3,2 %.

Abstract

Background. The aim of research was to examine the effect of hydroponic maize fodder and other forage towards Dynamics Protein Level and Enzym Protease Activity Digestive Rumen Sheep using In-Vitro Method. Materials and methods. The material that used in this research were three digestive rumen ofsheep. The research was held from January 14th, 2018 to March 7th, 2018 at the Laboratory of Science Feed and Nutrition, Faculty of Animal Science,JenderalSoedirman University, Purwokerto, Indonesia with in vitro method. The research was designed by Completed Randomized Design (CRD). The data was analyzed with analysis of variance (anova) and further testing by Honesty Significant Difference (HSD) test. The treatment consist of P1= 60 % Concentrate + 40 % Hydroponic Maize Fodder, P2 = 60 % Concentrate + 40 % Conventional Maize fodder, P3 = 60 % Concentrate + 40 % grass field and 6 repetition with 0 hours, 8 hours, 16 hours, 24 hours incubation. Data variable that measured are dynamics protein level and enzym protease activity. The result based on the test showed that provision of hydroponic maize fodder produce the highest dynamics protein level which is 0.0419 at the 8th hour of incubation compared to conventional maize fodder and field grasses. Results. Based on the results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment of feeding various types of forages at a measurement of 0 hours of real incubation resulted (P<0.05) in the highest protease activity. Utilizing of hydroponic maizefodder and maize fodder as a forage source produced the highest protease activity compared to field grass. The average of dynamics protein level basedon the treatment research P1, P2, dan P3from 8 hours, 16 hours, and 24 hours of incubation consecutively was 0.0206; 0.0079; 0.0026 percent per hours,0.0056; 0.0109; 0.0139 percent per hours, 0.0020; 0.0031; 0.0080 percent per hours. The average of protease activity based on the treatment research P1, P2,dan P3 from 0 hours, 8 hours, 16 hours, and 24 hours of incubation consecutively was 0.972; 1.107; 0.918 U/mg, 1.020; 0.965; 1.030 U/mg, 1.005; 0.947; 1.040 U/mg, 1.120; 0.978; 0.972 U/mg. Conclusion The highest protein dynamics level were seen in the hydroponic maize fodder treatment (P1) then followed by fodder maize treatment (P2) and field grass. Protease activity in fodder maize treatment (P2) showed the highest value followed by the treatment of hydroponic maize fodder (P1) then the lowest was the field grass treatment (P3).

Abstract

Background. The research aims to determine and examine the effect of adding the amino acid methionine and lysine to sheep fed wirh non-structural carbohydrates. Materials and Methods. The research material consisted of 18 male local sheep (thin tailed sheep) aged about 7-8 months. The treatments tested were R1 = ammoniated rice straw + concentrate (rice bran + coconut cake), R2 = R1 + amino acid methionine + lysine, R3 = ammoniated rice straw + concentrate (corn flour + soybean meal). The research method used is experimental in vivo, with a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The data generated during the study were analyzed using analysis of variance. Results. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the percentage of carcass, and the area of ??the rib eye tendon. The average value of the percentage of sheep carcasses in treatment R1, R2, R3, respectively, was 35,85%; 37,37%; 44,12%. In the percentage of meat, the average value of the percentage of lamb meat is 61,89%; 63,20%; 59,12%. In the percentage of fat, the average value of the percentage of lamb fat is 8,93%; 7,76%; 15,01%. And for the area of ??the rib eye area, the average value is 14,79 cm2, 15.88 cm2, 20,67 cm2. Conclusion. The addition of methionine and lysine amino acid supplementation can increase the percentage of carcass, meat and rib eye area.
