Abstract

Kelompok seni Jaran Kepang Langgeng Mudo Sari Kecamatan Bandungan Kabupaten Semarang sudah mulai mengembangkan bentuk pementasannya, namun hasil dari pengembangan belum optimal karena disebabkan beberapa faktor yaitu, pertama terbatasnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelatih, penari, pemusik dan dalang dalam penggarapan seni Jaran Kepang, dan kedua sarana yang dimiliki paguyuban terbatas. Tujuan artikel ini yaitu menjelaskan hasil pengembangan seni jaran Kepang yang dilakukan baik dari sisi kualitas dan kuantitas. Menggunakan pendekatan community development dan partisipatif dengan metode diantaranya pendidikan masyarakat, difusi ilmu pengetahuan, memberi fasilitas, konsultasi, dan pendampingan. Hasil menjelaskan bahwa pengembangan bentuk pertunjukan Jaran Kepang dan elemen-elemen pertunjukannya dilakukan dengan baik, dengan frekuensi pementasan yang meningkat, dan berbagai motif gerak dalam pertunjukan yang sudah ada sebelumnya hanya terbatas dan monoton sekarang berkembang menjadi lebih variatif. Saai ini paguyuban telah mengembangkan elemen pertunjukannya mulai dari gerak, iringan, rias dan busana, property, dan pola lantai. Paguyuban juga secara berkala dan rutin mempertunjukan Jaran Kepang yang telah dikembangkan sehingga dapat diapresiasi oleh masyarakat luas.

Abstract

The present work explores the implementation of kupingan method in the karawitan music training process to foreign participants with written tradition background. Moreover, it aims to identify, analyze, and elaborate the strength and weaknesses of kupingan method in transfer knowledge of gamelan skills. The present study employed a descriptive-qualitative method and class-action research design. The research objects involved the training of Javanese karawitan music to Tlaga Madu group from the University of Michigan in 2019. The data were obtained through observation of participation, interview, and document study. The data were further validated by triangulation technique and analyzed by steps as follows: identification, classification, verification, reduction, and explanation. The results indicate that kupingan method is applicable in the karawitan music training for foreigners, yet, to a very limited extent. By implementing the method, the training participants can master simple gending (colotomic structure) instrumental of learning materials, such as basic technique and patterns of instruments in the small-format gending lancaran form. On the other hand, the materials of complex gending with larger formats than lancaran are more effective to be disseminated by karawitan notation that is written in detail and elaborated with a demonstration of the song play.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the phenomenon of bamboo music buskers in Semarang from an urban music perspective, focusing on their role in the city's cultural landscape and the dynamics of social interactions in public spaces. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative approach with participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews with buskers, and documentation analysis. Data collection was conducted in several strategic locations in Semarang, such as the town square, markets, and other crowded centers. The results of the study indicate that bamboo music buskers play a significant role in enriching the color of urban music in Semarang. They not only function as street entertainers, but also as cultural agents who introduce and preserve traditional music in a modern context. Bamboo music, with its unique and organic characteristics, attracts the attention of people from various circles and often creates warmer social interactions between buskers and their listeners. In addition, this study found that bamboo music buskers face challenges in the form of social stigma and government regulations that are less supportive of their activities in public spaces. The implications of this study indicate that bamboo music buskers have the potential to be developed as a city cultural asset that can support local tourism and strengthen Semarang's cultural identity. In addition, this study recommends the need for more inclusive policies and support for the sustainability of urban music rooted in local traditions, so that it can create more dynamic and culturally diverse public spaces.

Abstract

The research was directed entirely to determine the impact of Promotion, Product Quality, and Brand with the method of partial hypothesis and simultaneous hypotheses on the Purchase Decision of the POCO smartphone product in the online store Xiaomi Official Store ID. The study used 100 respondents with the technique of the Random Sampling method. The method applied in this research is primary data starting from the questionnaire. This research shows that the Promotion affects the Purchase Decision of the POCO product in the Xiaomi Official Store ID online store. The quality of the product influences the Purchasing Decision for POCO products at the Xiaomi official store ID online shop. Markers influence the purchase decision of POCOs products in the online store of the Xiaomi official store ID. There is an enormous influence between Promotion, Product Quality and Brand on the decision to purchase POCO products in Xiaomi official shop ID online.

Abstract

Music is an important component of Christian worship in churches, which serves as the accompanying music. This is particularly true in charismatic churches, which primarily use contemporary music that evolves with current trends. In charismatic Christian worship, music plays a role in accompanying and creating the atmosphere for praise and worship songs. This research addresses the issue of symbolic interaction between worship leader and the accompanying music in Christian worship at Isa Almasih Church, Deliksari Gunungpati Semarang. This research employed descriptive qualitative method and used data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Triangulation was used to ensure the data validity. For analysis, this research used data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The findings show that the symbolic interactions between the worship leader and music ministers during worship involves music elements such as pitch, dynamics, rhythm, tempo, melody, and tone color or timbre. This symbolic interaction is formed through agreements made during practice sessions between the worship leader and the music ministers.

Abstract

This research examines the band music training strategy at GKJ Sampangan Kradenan, Semarang, as a community learning phenomenon without a permanent trainer and formal curriculum. The phenomenon shows how the church community can nurture the musical talents of the congregation through a flexible, collaborative, and participatory approach. The research used a descriptive qualitative method through a case study, using participatory observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results show that the band music training in this church relies on the spirit of cooperation, collective responsibility, and shared learning practices that demonstrate the principles of Community of Practice (Wenger, 1998). Although informal, this strategy proved effective in building team cohesiveness, improving musical quality, and fostering active participation from various layers of the congregation in church music ministry.

Abstract

Since 2022, the Merdeka Curriculum has incorporated literacy and numeracy into arts and culture education. However, a major challenge faced by arts and culture teachers is that not all of them fully understand or have mastered how to integrate literacy and numeracy into their teaching, particularly in the development of existing teaching modules. The purpose of this community service initiative is to provide mentoring in developing teaching modules that integrate literacy and numeracy into the subjects of music, dance, and visual arts for the Arts and Culture Teachers’ Working Group (MGMP). The method used in this program involved several stages: beginning with the dissemination and introduction of key concepts, followed by practical assistance in developing literacy- and numeracy-based teaching modules, and concluding with simulations to support the practical implementation of learning. The results of this initiative show that the development of literacy and numeracy skills can be facilitated through theoretical and practical learning materials, differentiated and contextual methods, educational field trips, various learning media and tools (both digital and conventional), as well as through the use of effective teaching models, strategies, and assessment techniques. The benefits of this program include improved teacher understanding of literacy and numeracy, enhanced teacher competence in module development, increased creativity in delivering learning materials, the establishment of collaborative and professional learning environments, and the successful creation of arts and culture teaching modules that incorporate literacy and numeracy. Based on these outcomes, it can be concluded that the development of integrated literacy and numeracy teaching modules for music, dance, and visual arts subjects in the MGMP for arts and culture has provided significant and valuable benefits.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh Budaya Organisasi dan Lingkungan Kerja terhadap Kualitas Kerja Karyawan dengan Kepuasan Kerja sebagai variabel Intervening. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan mengambil case pada PT. Pasifik Energi Trans Medan. Sampling pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling, sehingga yang dijadikan sampel penelitian ini hanya pada karyawan sebanyak 64 orang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang kemudian di analisis dengan menggunakan analisis jalur (Path analysis). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pada jalur atau sub struktural 1 yaitu Budaya Organisasi dan Lingkungan Kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Kerja baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Hasil dari jalur atau sub struktural 2 memperlihatkan bahwa Budaya Organisasi dan Kepuasan Kerja secara parsial tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kualitas Kerja Karyawan. Sedangkan, Lingkungan Kerja secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kualitas Kerja Karyawan. Secara simultan Budaya Organisasi, Lingkugan Kerja dan Kepuasan Kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kualitas Kerja Karyawan. Sedangkan, secara parsial terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung antara Budaya Organisasi dan Lingkungan Kerja melalui Kepuasan Kerja terhadap Kualitas Kerja Karyawan dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 0,0253 dan 0,0976. Dari semua variabel, Lingkungan Kerja adalah variabel paling dominan yang mempengaruhi Kualitas Kerja Karyawan.Kata Kunci: Budaya Organisasi, Lingkungan Kerja, Kepuasan Kerja, Kualitas Kerja Karyawan
