Abstract

Low interest of student to entrepreneurship is a pity as the global university entre­preneurial spirit students survey. To improve the students entrepreneurial perform­ance, such factors take part influencing entrepreneurial performance, such as inno­va­tiveness, risk taking, proactiveness, competitive aggresiveness, autonomy, and of course entrepreneurial mindset. This research aims to determine the effect of those variables on entrepreneurial performance of college students of management which are A accredited in Malang City, Indonesia. The samples are 374 students from five universities. The analysis technique used is the test of Goodness Fit Model and Path Coefficients test with the help of the program SmartPLS 2.0 and SPSS. The results indicate that the entrepre­neurial mindset has significant effect on innovativeness, risk taking, proactiveness, competitive aggresiveness, and autonomy. Moreover, the characteristics of innovativeness, risk taking, proactiveness, competitive aggre­sive­ness, and autonomy have significant effect on the entrepreneurial performance of college students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the effects  of the role overload and role conflict on job performance with job stress as mediating variable in the cellular-phone trade-centers. The population consists of the employees working in cellular phone-shops in Trade Centers located in Surabaya, East Java. By using purposive sampling, the characteristics of 316 were selected based on their aged such as over 17 years old, residing in Surabaya, and working the cellular phone traded centers in Surabaya.  The data were analyzed multiple regression. It was found that the role overload and role conflict have positive effects on job stress. However, the role overload, role conflict, and job stress have negative effects on job performance. Finally, the role overload and role conflict also have effect on job performance through job stress as a mediating variable.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship plays an important role in determining the level of economic growth of a country. This study aims are to explorethe impact of entrepreneurial mindset on innovativeness, risk-taking, competitive aggressiveness, autonomy, and proactiveness onentrepreneurial performance. This research uses Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze thedata.. It gathered data of 364 respondents, which were the bachelor students of management program of public universities inSurabaya, Indonesia. The results show that entrepreneurial mindset has a significant impact to innovativeness, risk-taking,competitive aggressiveness, autonomy, and proactiveness. It also enhances positive and significant impact to entrepreneurialperformance of the students. It implies that the entrepreneurship education of public universities in Surabaya, Indonesia succeedsto change the students’ mindset and orientation. The government needs to increase entrepreneurship education centers andbusiness incubator centers at various universities.
