This research aim to for the mendeskripsikan of extracurricular execution of Drumband in SMAN 3 Solok South District of Sangir. this Type Research is qualitative with descriptive method of analysis. Technique data collecting by book study, observation, interview, and documentation. Research Instrument is ownself constructively observation sheet perceiving activity of teacher/coach during activity take place. Technique analyse data by collecting primary data classification and of sekunder later;then process as according to device which have been made. Research finding that is performing a practice 1 times within a week every day Saturday, with select participant of class of X and of XI which have had ability play at Drumband during SMP. Abstract This article was written to describe the used of the group work to improve student’s learning outcomes in the musical art subject at grade VIII7 SMP Negeri 2 Batusangkar. Group work learning approach has a very important role in growing maturity and improve children's ability to master the material whatever they want through learning together to achieve maximum learning. Based on the result of the experiment, it was found that the average score of experimental group was higher than the average score of control group. Based on a t-test, it was obtained that tcounted > tTable, which means that there is a significant difference of learning outcomes between the students who learn by using group work learning approach and conventional technique in the subjects of Musical Arts at SMP Negeri 2 Batusangkar. This significant difference between the score of learning outcomes of the two classes, the data show that group work learning approach gives positive effect toward learning outcomes at level of confidence 95%. Abstract This study aims to identify and describe students’ perceptions towards the learning of dance grade XI SMAN 5 South Solok. This qualitative research used descriptive analysis by describing and analyzing data that were collected through observation, interviews and questionnaires. Subjects of the research were students of grade XI, at first semester SMAN 5 South Solok. There were 5 classes in this grade, they are XI IPA 1, IPA 2, IPS 1, IPS 2, and IPS 3. Object of study was dance subject. The samples in this study were 50 students (25% of the total population). Technique of data analysis was conducted by using percentages. Based data analysis, it was found that students’ perception toward the learning of dance was categorized as poor (20.74%), the perception of students’ want to learning dance was categorized as poor (36.29%), students' perceptions on assessment of dance learning can be categorized as good (66.50%). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the average percentage of students’ perception towards the learning of dance at SMAN 5 South Solok was 41.17% or it is categorized as poor.

Abstract Mostly, teachers’ class management was seen to be lack with appropriate learning methods for the students. In fact, there were numbers of learning methods that were possible to be implemented by teachers in the learning process especially for dancing. One of them was the group method. This research aimed at determining the influence of using this method. The design of research was the class action research. The objects of the research were 24 fifth grade students of SD Plus Marhamah. The learning process was conducted within two cycles. The findings of the research showed that there was an improvement on students’ dancing abilities. It was observed from their increased scores from the first cycle to the second cycle. In the first cycle, students’ dancing average score was 61.87. The score increased in the second cycle to 73.75. It was concluded that the implementation of the group method had successfully improved the fifth grade students’ dancing abilities at SD Plus Marhamah Padang. The improvement was seen from the increased dancing scores gotten by the students. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Menari, Metode Kelompok

Abstract This study includes all of the experiments penelitiaan draft only randomized control group design with sampling techniques used are Culster sampling. To get results on the cognitive learning to use the test results to learn, for the affective and psychomotor used observation sheet. The study's findings that student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain to obtain the experimental class average - average 80.82 while the control class has an average - average 70.79. Abstract The article aimed at explaining and revealing the implementation of School-Based Curriculum in the learning of arts at SMP Negeri 5 Lubuk Alung. The design of the research was descriptive qualitative. The data obtained from observation, interview, and library research. The data was analyzed using phenomenology technique. The research resulted that the implementation of School-Based Curriculum was not as how it was expected. It is due to the fact that teachers did not understand the learning material so that what was in the lesson plan did not suit the material. Moreover, the teacher did not have musical arts education background. Thus, it effects on wrong way of implementation.

Absract This research aimed at describing students’ motivation in learning dancing at SMP Negeri 3 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya. The objects of this research were the students of VIII.1 at SMP Negeri 3 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Their motivation in learning dancing was related to both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. The design of this research was qualitative research. The data was done in 2012/2013 at SMP Negeri 3 Koto Baru Kabupaten Dharmasraya. The data were obtained from observation, interview, and literature review. The findings of this research showed that there were some indicators in both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation for students in learning dancing. The indicators of intrinsic motivation were attendance, attention, motion, question, and exercises. The indicators of extrinsic motivation were compliment and punishment. Abstract This article was aimed at describing the implementation of evalution technique in Arts and Music subject at SMP Negeri 4 Kecamatan Guguak. This was a qualitative research that used descriptive-analysis method. The result of the research indicated that the evaluation technique applied by the teacher was only on cognitive and psychomotor aspects while the affective aspect was ignored. Thus,it was concluded that the evaluation done by the teacher did not run as it was expected. Kata Kunci : teknik penilaian

Abstract The research aimed at describing the improvement of students ability in playing recorder through group approach students of grade V Nusa at SD Adabiah Padang, in form of Classroom Action Research. The method used was group approach. The research was conducted in two cycles which consisted of planning, action, observation and reflection. The first cycle was done in three meetings and second cycle was done in two meetings. After the research was conducted, the students’ ability in playing recorder which was low at the beginning was gradually improved. It was seen that the data obtained where the students’ ability was only 69 before the research and 88,06 after the research.
