Abstract

Abstract This study aims to identify and describe the student motivation in learning dance at SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Basung Agam Regency. This is descriptive quantitative research. Object of this study is the students in learning dance in grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Basung Agam Regency. Primary data of the research were collected through questionnaires. The population of this study was grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Basung Agam Recency which consists of 5 (five) classes totally 152 students. Based on analysis indicated that students' motivation in learning dance seen from the intrinsic motivation of the students was very good 94.93% (discipline 90.22%, responsibility 96.75%, and participation 97.82%). Similarly, extrinsic motivation of the students was also very good 89.12% (facilities 90.06% , infrastructure 80.23%, and awards 97.08% ).

Abstract

This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and literature. Object of this study is Togok Desert Dance Chart Plate Lamp, Lubuk Sikarah. The findings of the studies of inheritance Dance Togok Plate Lamp In Desert Peoples Chart, Lubuk Sikarah, Solok City. In getting results. Inheritance system, there are inherit inheritance seperguruan dance, music, costumes, properties Togok Plate Lamp. the dance bequeath togok plate lights there are several requirements that must be passed by students who want to learn, the students also participate in various conditions presented by dance teachers, learn through the examples given by the teacher after which students mimic the movements made by the teacher, then students practice under the next teacher students practice independently.

Abstract

Abstrak This research aims: (1) to describe Appreciation Dance at SMP Negeri 5 Payakumbuh. The issues raised in this research are the level of student’s appreciation in learning dance archipelago. (2) This research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. Data was collected through literature study, observation, and interview. (3) The results of the research are to show that in learning of dance appreciation in SMP N 5 Payakumbuh found the rate of student’s appreciation to dance the dance Tortor archipelago has reached the expected level. The rate of student’s appreciation has been able to recognize, understand, appreciate and the student respect in learning the art of dance archipelago. The problem caused by the stimulation appreciative obtained by students, through methods and media appropriate for teachers in learning. In addition, the success in learning appreciation inseparable from the efforts of teachers to prepare themselves both in the planning, implementation and evaluation conducted by the teacher’s appreciation toward dance at SMP N 5 Payakumbuh.   Key Word: Apresiasi, Seni Tari, SMP Negeri 5 Payakumbuh
