Abstract

Islamic educational institution in Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia, has long history of its development. It begins when Islam itself had been initially introduced to the region. By the mid of 20th century, people witnessed the formative period of Islamic higher educational institutions. This article seeks to describe how Islam has been scholarly taught—and of course learned—in higher educational level, specifically in MA and Ph.D. degrees. Abstract

This paper describes the construct of Islamic character education based on the local culture of the indigenous Lampung people. Four constructs of character education are presented in the Piil Pesenggiri, namely Nemui Nyimah which contains the character of a sense of acceptance, including; hospitality, hospitality, generosity, courtesy, mutual respect, respect, love for friendship, submission and submission to the Creator of the Universe and His creations. Nengah Nyappur contains adaptive character values ​​in interacting, including; willingness to open up, have a high tolerance, like to deliberate, have an attitude and sociable behavior, easy to get along with, familiar or friendly, and a sense of family. Sakai Sambaiyan contains high solidarity character values, including; mutual assistance, please help, work together, give each other something that is needed by the other party. Juluk Adok contains the spirit of achievement character values, including; persistent and hard working, likes to participate, has an honorary degree. In the context of education, Piil Pesenggiri becomes an inseparable part of the realization of the nation's character education. Piil Pesenggiri becomes a principle of self-esteem which is the culmination and reflection of the accumulation of noble and noble forms of activity amid society. In the context of geneology education in the character of Lampung indigenous people, Piil Pesenggiri can be a measure or dignity for someone amid their life activities. Substantially, Piil Pesenggiri in the context of character education becomes the "pillar of the teacher" that teaches the principles of consistency, acceptance, and equality. Abstract

This Research aims to describe the thoughts of Ki Hadjar Dewantara on character education in the perspective of Islamic education. This Research is called library research. The data taken in this research consist of primary data and secondary data. The method of data processing uses the analytical descriptive method after the data is collected, classified, compared, interpreted, and finally given the conclusion. The conclusion is made using deductive and inductive patterns. The result of this research shows that character education according to Ki Hadjar Dewantara is the guidance of character in the life of children growing. Character education can be formed through education, experience, life test, sacrifice, and environmental impact. Hereafter the internalized values become an intrinsic value underlying attitude and behavior then repeatedly until becomes a habit, and the habit is guided and maintained then be a character. The method of character education through among method namely momong, among and "ngemong" mean habituation, example, and teaching. Meanwhile, the steps are childhood, the development of souls and thoughts, and the formation of character or social awareness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of Arabic–Indonesian translation generated by DeepSeek AI using the book Al-‘Arabiyyah li al-Nāsyi’īn as the object of study. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a content analysis design. The data source consists of Arabic narrative texts taken from Al-‘Arabiyyah li al-Nāsyi’īn Volume 1, which were translated into Indonesian using DeepSeek AI. Data collection techniques include observation and note-taking, while data analysis follows three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The analysis is based on Peter Newmark’s semantic translation theory. The findings indicate that DeepSeek AI is generally capable of producing accurate, clear, and acceptable translations. The translated texts successfully convey the main meaning of the source language with minimal ambiguity and distortion. DeepSeek AI demonstrates a tendency toward semantic translation by adjusting sentence structure, diction, and contextual meaning to improve readability and naturalness in the target language. Although some literal translations are still found, they do not significantly affect overall comprehension. Therefore, DeepSeek AI can be considered an effective supporting tool for Arabic–Indonesian translation, particularly for simple narrative texts and Arabic language learning

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis (maharah kitabah) peserta didik dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab masih tergolong rendah, terutama dalam mengembangkan ide, menyusun kalimat secara runtut, serta menggunakan kaidah bahasa yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis peserta didik melalui penerapan model Think-Talk-Write berbasis video animasi berbahasa Arab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes kemampuan menulis, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Think-Talk-Write berbasis video animasi mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis peserta didik. Peningkatan tersebut terlihat dari kemampuan peserta didik dalam mengembangkan ide tulisan, menyusun kalimat yang lebih runtut, serta berkurangnya kesalahan tata bahasa. Selain itu, peserta didik juga menunjukkan peningkatan keaktifan dan kepercayaan diri selama proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, model Think-Talk-Write berbasis video animasi dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis peserta didik pada pembelajaran bahasa Arab.
