Abstract

This study analyzes the traditional values starting reinforcements in the village of Betung District of Pangkalan Kuras, starting reinforcements ritual is a series of activities to prevent and avoid from a wide variety of reinforcements as well as disturbances of supernatural beings such as ghosts, jinn, okuan and so forth. Basically, this ritual has become a tradition that can not be abandoned by society Petalangan village of Betung, because of the tradition of ritual starting reinforcements this is a promise that has been made from a common ancestor that were preserved by the community Petalangan village of Betung is a promise to pay the debt by offering animal heads like goats or buffalo. The purpose of this study was to gain insights into how the process of starting reinforcements ritual performance in terms of practice and implementation objectives. While the benefits of research in the academic field as a donation notion, especially sociology to know the ritual starting reinforcements from different sides. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of the data by descriptive analytic approach, which seeks to portray and interpret objects in accordance with what it is. From the research results in the field indicate that the public Petalangan village of Betung until now still trust and carry out the tradition of ritual starting reinforcements every year at the beginning of the month, or more precisely on the 15th, and the tradition of ritual starting reinforcements should not be abandoned by society Petalanagan village of Betung because starting reinforcements ritual tradition is an agreement that has existed since the time of the ancestors is the agreement to repay the debt by offering a goat or buffalo head, and if the debt is not paid, would be many plagues that will befall the community Petalangan Betung Village. Abstract

The process of globalization brought the Korean Wave virus into Pekanbaru and caused the emergence of many Korean culture lovers, especially among young people. Indonesian television broadcasts a lot of Korean dramas that attract the attention of the Indonesian people, not only the drama, Korean Pop music is also the most interested in teenagers in Pekanbaru. Finally, Korean pop culture can form Kpop fanclubs in Indonesia to be widespread in cities such as Pekanbaru city. The method used in this research is qualitative where the researcher gets three subjects who are selected using purposive sampling by meeting the criteria determined by the researcher. Through this study, it was concluded that the factors for the formation of the Pekanbaru KPopers Community were due to the similarity of interests and interests with KPop culture, as a medium for sharing and exchanging information. Social interactions that occur in this community arise after the fulfillment of social interaction requirements, namely social contact, which is best done indirectly by using TV and internet media and then social communication which aims to convey messages and information related to KPop. Then the consumptive behavior carried out by Pekanbaru kpopers members is not only a fulfillment of desires or desires, but becomes a consumption. They realize the impact and benefits of being K-popers, from the positive things they become diligent in saving, independent and work hard to achieve something and from the negative they become wasteful in buying K-pop goods, spending money on Kpop activities such as ganthering, watching concerts and other activities. Abstract

This research is a research about rain-moving ritual which is believed by society of Tualang Sub-district. This research is to find out about the implementation of rain-moving rituals and public confidence in rain-moving rituals. This type of research uses qualitative research type with descriptive analysis approach. The author uses field research (field research) with the form of non-participant observation (non participant observer). The author uses data collection techniques in the form of observation to produce data in accordance with reality and to obtain valid data about the role of rainmaster in carrying out its duties to prevent rain fall during the execution of the party took place. Interview (interview) to get information from the source about how the role of the rainy handler. Documentation for the addition of data in the form of photos and sound recordings. Based on the research that has been done, researchers get the results of research that is moving ritual rain done what if there are events such as weddings and circumcision events. public confidence in the rainy handler in dasari by the number of hajatan owned by the community so that in order to support these activities to run smoothly then used the rainy handler to resist the rain when the event held dienggrakan lasted.Keywords: Trust.Rain Charmer, rain-moving ritual.

Abstract

The shift of Batak Toba Ulos Value in the Village of Sri Meranti Rumbai District is one of the research that has a purpose for the researchers themselves and other students. The key in this study are those who understand the customs of Batak, namely Batak Raja Adat consisting of any clans. The second objective is to know the values contained in ulos as well as the shifts occurring in the overseas lands. Analyze data in this research using Descriptive Qualitative Research Method. Qualitative Descriptive This is an analysis that seeks to provide a detailed description based on the facts obtained from the facts in the field and also supported by primary and secondary data to support the existing data. This qualitative research is presented with descriptions as well as aids with the calculation of the numbers, percentages and inserted in the table. The data will be analyzed descriptively. Therefore, the authors will develop concepts, collect data and facts that occur in the field. Based on the results of research in the field, the decline in ulos value has experienced the highest point, as it happens at this time is the number of Batak people in the Land of Perantauan do not know the meaning and value contained in Batak Ulos own. The research was conducted in Kelurahan Sri Meranti Rumbai District Pekanbaru City Riau Province. The results of this research show that there is a shift in the value of Ulos which is very signifikant in some elements, function, form, role in the implementation of traditional Batak event. Also giving sanctions for those who violate customary rules will be given sanctions that also experienced a shift from initial sanctions, this also affects the friction-friction with other cultures.Keywords: Value Ulos, Batak Toba, Tanah Parjalangan

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze how the performance of a young person who already has a job and is able to be professional in working. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City because it is a metropolitan city and has a high number of workers. This type of research is qualitative descriptive by using observation, interview and documentation techniques. In determining the subject of research using purposive sampling technique that is predetermined based on criteria. The number of informants from this study were 5 people. The theory used is the self-concept of Mead and the lifestyle of Baudlliard. The results of the research found by researchers were that a young worker in order to have a professional attitude must have a mature self-concept. The mature self concept found by researchers is that the informant has a plan for the future, understands the strengths and weaknesses that exist in him, and is able to adjust himself to what he is facing. As a young person who already has his own income and lives in a modern era with a high consumptive pattern, the informants found by researchers have a modern lifestyle with characteristics that are like hanging out and shopping for needs that prioritize brands rather than quality, although there are some informants who do not prioritizing brand but also quality. In this study it was found that workers must be able to distinguish attitudes and ways of interacting between fellow coworkers and their daily environment. Professionalism is needed in work because according to informants in this study, they will feel very satisfied when they have worked hard and will affect the relationship between the boss and employees.Keywords: Professionalism, Young Workers, Self Concept

Abstract

This research was conducted in Tanjung Belit Village. The purpose of this study is to find out how the distribution system of fish from the results of fish maneuvers in the Lubuk ban Tanjung Belit Village, and to find out how to use the results of fish maneuvers under the prohibition. In determining the subject of research using purposive sampling techniques that have been determined based criteria. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques by conducting interviews and documentation. The number of informants in this study amounted to 8 people. The theory used is Social Systems Theory. The results of this research that is the tradition of catch fishing in river ban is an annual activity of the Tanjung Belit village community which is carried out once a year. This tradition in the form of community activities to catch fish together at the bottom of the ban and the fish will be sold by auction and andel distribution systems. There are two types of andel division namely the inner and outer andel. This tradition is the local wisdom of the Tanjung Belit people who originally intended to raise funds to build the village and also to preserve the Subayang River to keep it awake and not be polluted. Keywords: Tradition, River Ban, Mancokau

Abstract

The title of this research"Domino Gambling among Adolescents in Tanjung Village, Koto Kampar Hulu Subdistrict, Kampar Regency." The aims of this research to explain how the gambling behavior among adolescents in Tanjung Village and how social supervision is carried out by the community from adolescent gambling behavior. The author used George Homans' Social Exchange Theory and Social Control Theory to analyze the phenomenon of this research. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative research. this research is presented and analyzed in the form of descriptive (descriptive) words with a qualitative approach.  In addition, this research is also supported by conducting in-depth interviews with informants (informants) that have been determined by researcher in advance.  The author interviewed 8 informants consist of three teenage boys who took part in gambling, three teenage parents of gamblers, one school teacher, and one local RW and officer. Based on the results of the interviews, we obtain information that is very supportive for the validity of the data that is focus of the research.  Based on the results of the research, teenagers in Tanjung Village use the Domino game as a means to play gambling, where the game uses money as a bet given to the winners in the game of domino gambling.  The player who gets the most of money, at the same time is a sign that he is the winner in gambling and this is where the core of the domino gambling game lies.  From the adolescent domino gambling behavior, it is known that there is still a lack of social control carried out by the community, especially from parents, school teachers, and also the environment in which gambling activities are carried out by teenagers in Tanjung Village. Keywords: Teenagers, Gambling Behavior, Domino Gambling, Community Oversight.

Instant culture is practical culture in make prakarya. Instant culture thatpurposed in this research is student that not work prakarya task result howeverpay sartorial to work prakarya task embroidery application namely sewing createstablecloth. If student not creative, so student will be unable to work prakarya taskhimself. Creativity is expression or expression from uniqueness individual ininteraction with the environment that reflect originality from individual. Abstract

This research was conducted in the Sungai Pinang village Hulu Kuantan Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study aims to determine how the public participation in the implementation of infrastructure construction and to know what are the factors that influence public participation in the implementation of infrastructure construction. This study, entitled “Participation rate of society for implementation of construction infrastructure at Sungai Pinang Village Hulu Kuantan Subdisrtict Kuantan Singingi Regency”. The main problem in this research is how the public participation in the implementation of infrastructure construction at Sungai Pinang Village and what are the factors that influence public participation in the implementation of infrastructure construction at Sungai Pinang Village. The samples in this research is using random sampling. Amount of total population in 2015, which amounted to 274 families (KK), samples taken were 30 families (KK) which has represented the population redetermined criteria. The method used is quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Instrument filtering data used are observation, kuisioner and documentation. The results have generally been carried out by the researcher, the researcher can say that public participation in the implementation of infrastructure construction Sungai Pinang Village are low by category never participate are contributing donation totaling 19 respondents (63%), because they assume that all donation has been given by the government and the other reason is they are just hard to build his house let alone to donate donation to the construction. Factors that affect the implementation of infrastructure construction is low educational factors is 16 respondents (54%), and work factors is 15 respondents (50%). Education and employment factors are very influential because they are educated will definitely get the job also high, therefore their participation due to lower prioritize their personal work.Keywords: Participation, Community, Construction

Abstract

This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the profile of women who work as drivers ojek online at Gojek Kota Pekanbaru. This research is a descriptive research using qualitative approach as a tool of analysis. The population in this study were all female students who have married as many as 5 people. Observation data collection techniques, interviews and documentation. Technique of data analysis writer use in this research is descriptive qualitative. The result of the research is their motive for choosing to work as an online motorbike driver because they go on a motorcycle offers an effective and efficient work system where they not only provide technology applications but also recruit to connect drivers with passengers and the conditions for entering gojek are not that difficult. In addition, working hours are not bound, relaxed, but surely there is an income from the female support project working as a motorcycle. Besides, it also helps the economy or adds to their family’s income. Because most of them really like work and don’t like to stay at home. And based on the results of the income that has been obtained that women who work as online motorcycle driver are very potential in supporting the household economy.
